Wohung in Penzance

Schade

Property ok but needing updating

House was reasonably clean. Lovely modern kitchen but only 2 glass tumblers to use and no side plates. Apart from the kitchen the house was a bit of a mish mash of different styles and patterns. Definitely needed redecorating ! The 'coffee table' downstairs was a health and safety risk as it was made up of an old bookcase with an oval piece of glass balancing on top. Furniture wasn't that comfy and again could have matched ! Bedrooms were fine as was the spacious bathroom and shower room. To sum up, the property was in quite a handy location and had good parking but the whole house needed updating and co-ordinating.

A most pleasant holiday home

The property is ideally located - it is an 18 min walk from penzance station ( uphill walk to) and a 5 min bus ride. There are 2 bus stops close by with buses every 30 min ( which is fairly regular for this part of the country). There is a costcutter a minute away for emergencies...so from a location standpoint it is excellent. The house itself is very homely and well maintained. We were a party of 5 and we were more than comfortable in the 3 bedrooms. There is a huge bathroom upstairs and a shower and toilet downstairs which was very convenient. The kitchen was excellently stocked and we cooked every night for the 4 that we were there. The linen and towels were all fresh. The only thing that could have been better was the quality of the WiFi which was not per expectations. While the property doesn't have the finesse of a hotel that is it's main selling point.. it indeed felt like a home away from home - warm and rustic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the place.
