This old coach house stands at the end of the garden of the house in a Grade II listed terrace that it served in the 19th Century. It has been recently renovated to high standard and to current Building Regulations. It has its own South facing private granite walled garden adjacent to the old coach house of the next property. The outlook and environment is very private although it is only 5 minutes walk from the shops in the center of the town. The approach from the main road is via the mews cul-de-sac which allows for car drop-off at the front door. Free parking is in the adjacent streets. The house has central heating run by an air heat pump for green energy economy.

We were warmely welcomed by susanna in thisbeautiful cottage with lovely garden. The accomodation is very well maintained and very well equipped with evrything you need.
Light and airy cottage, walking distance to Penzance and the harbour. Perfect for our family of 5 plus dogs. Cute garden with sun and shade to enjoy after a day out. Susie was really helpful and friendly, there to meet us when we arrived despite the lateness. House was spotlessly clean and the double bed was super comfy.
Our host met us on arrival to show us round the property. The location is great, about 15 minutes walk (uphill) from the station, and it is very well equipped with a bonus of a small garden. We had a terrific stay. Highly recommended host and property.
The house is in a great location: walking distance to shops and trails. Used the bus for day trips to visit other communities. Rented a bike to visit Mt Michael.
We had a fab time at Susanna's place. In a quiet street yet not far from the action with all the shops, pubs and restaurants close. Susanna was a great host and the place was very clean with everything we needed. And some friendly local cats
The house was good value, with 3 bedrooms and a nice bathroom upstairs, and downstairs a good sized living room and separate well-equipped kitchen plus cloakroom. There is an attractive garden to the rear. The front door opens straight onto the street which is narrow and a bit constricted by parked cars. I can image accessing with a pushchair or wheelchair might be challenging at times. There is no parking space but no problem finding available free parking spaces within 50 metres from the front door. It is a 5-minute walk from the top of Market Jew street, with a nice Wetherspoons. Plenty of other nice shops, cafes and pubs also close by. Would happily stay there again.
A short tempered landlady who is definitely not a dog lover, she accepts dogs because it's more acceptable !!She believes nothing is fault of her doing and the fact that she lives next door means she can check in on you, and she does !!The only thing that hampered our stay was the busy body landlady, she even called me after we had left to ask why a light fitting had fell down ? I suggested it was lack of maintenance. A lovely place, penzance, minack theater is worth a trip , and the beach is fantastic, shame about the locals would not go back !!
The house met all our needs and the property description was accurate. We were able to find street parking nearby whenever we needed it. Penzance was a great base for visiting other locations in Cornwall.
Nice quiet location good host, information was useful clean and tidy property good hot easy to use shower really comfortable beds only ten minute stroll from the main shopping area, parking is on street but didn’t have to much trouble finding a space so didn’t have to pay for car parks , lots of little extras in the kitchen cupboards if wanting to do any home cooking.
Property was as described and lovely to have the garden.
Very convenient location for us to walk to town, along promenade and beach to Newlyn and buses to st .Ives etc.
Best of all was Coastliner sitting outside and free with our bus passes.
Only used car to get to a magical evening at The Minack theatre.
Very good house, very clean & tidy, well stocked with bits & bobs which was useful.
Good communication with owner, she explained local area to us.
Lovely garden to sit out in and relax.
Bathroom had a good shower.

Great location
Great location, quiet and relaxing garden and near shops, restaurants and town. Lovely house though living room a bit sparse and no tv but was no problem for a week. Wonderful kitchen and all mod cons. Would definitely rent again.
A lovely property with plenty of space and a pretty garden to relax in. Excellent value with a well equipped kitchen and a central location just a few minutes walk into Penzance. Highly recommended - we have stayed in many cottages in the area and this one is the most spacious by far. Plenty of parking on near by roads so parking was not a problem.
Spacious well-equipped 3 bedroom property with charming small private walled garden , ideal for Penzance town and amenities. Additionally, Susie lives adjoining the Coach House and met with us on arrival in order to give a house overview.
The house was easy walking to markets, shops and restaurants. It's an uphill walk from the train station but you pass through the town and get a good idea of all that is available. our host Susanna was very responsive and welcoming and the house was well furnished, including a washing machine, and all kitchen necessities. With better weather, the garden would be a lovely place to relax in the evening. I recommend staying several days as there is so much to see in Cornwall.
The Coach House is a comfortable, cosy well equipped holiday home with a pretty garden . It was ideal for our family of 5 adults. Communication with Susie the owner was easy and friendly. The centre of Penzance is a short walk away. Parking is in neighbouring streets.
We just had the best week staying in this beautiful converted coach house. Such a lovely lady who was the host of this property met us on arrival and explained everything. Location was fantastic - walking distance to the town and harbour, but yet it was such a quiet location with very friendly neighbours. We reallly enjoyed using the lovely garden especially for early morning coffee. The house had everything you would ever need for a stay and was warm and cosy. The only problem was we wish we had booked to stay longer! We will return to this property again - fantastic 🙂
Susanna greeted us cheerfully. The house is really well planned out with everything in practical places! Really good to find a 3 bedroom house at such a reasonable cost . The underfloor heating made all the rooms cosy. Comfy beds and good shower. Lots of towels provided which was handy. We parked at the tennis club which is £2:50 a day and a short walk away. There was parking in nearby streets as well . Loved that Causeway Head shopping was so close . Lovely sunny garden. Really quiet at night so could sleep with the windows open . Would definitely stay here again
After over 1000km drive we arrived in Penzance... navi did 'take us round the houses' but we found our Holiday home after a few minuets. Susie was there and gave us all the info we needed so our holiday could start the second we arrived. Super cosy Coach House, lovely quite garden and nice bedrooms....clean and tidy with TV, games ,books and dvds - just incase of rain..!! 2mins to the first pub, 3 mins to The Farmers arms, with live music on Fri and Sunday. 15min to the water... it is steeper than I remember but even I managed with bad hips and knees.
Back to the house- every thing is there that you need to start , all you need is food. Kitchen was super with washing machine, dishwascher, toaster, kettle, oven , fridge/Freezer, even coffee and sugar in the cupboard.
Beds were make up and towels provided-super All in all the perfect 'get a way'. We really enjoyed our 6 days there and were sorry to leave. Thank you for makeing us welcome...Oh and for the After sun.!!!!!!

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Could be better
Good things:
The Kitchen was well equipped with a good sized fridge and the shower worked well.
Pretty garden.
Lots of info on where to eat, etc.
We were able to leave our bags to collect later on check out day.
We were met by the property owner on arrival. This had to be prearranged as there was no key box however it wasn’t an issue. In entering the house there was an overwhelming stench of dog. The sitting room reeked so much we ended up shutting the door to it to try to contain the smell. Fortunately we weren’t going to be spending much time at the property as we were in the area for work but if we were planning to I honestly don’t think we could have spent any time in that room.
It didn’t matter to us but the TV in the sitting room was incredibly small, so anyone wanting to watch it wouldn’t have found it a pleasant experience. The carpets were very thin, especially on the stairs, making it noisy when ever anyone used them.
Parking was a complete nightmare. You have to reverse down the drive to drop things off but you can’t park outside as you’d be forever moving your car to let others out. There is parking on the street across the road if you are lucky ( we rarely were) but much safer is a long stay car park 5 mins walk away which is free after 4pm until 9am which we weren’t informed about.
The property has potential but needs a thorough deep clean. (We are both dog owners by the way), new carpets and a more friendly welcome from the owner wouldn’t go amiss.

About the host
Hosted by Susanna Huntington
Private owner of property which has been in the family for 50 years + along with adjacent properties. We decided to renovate rather than sell to keep the property in a good state.
What makes this property unique
The house is 5 minutes walk from the centre of the town, but is very private in its mews situation. As it was originally part of a larger historic property listed Grade II, the gardens to the South are very private. So one is in a quiet secluded environment whilst being in the centre of the town.
