The Farm (dating from 1870 and called La presentina) is located in the countryside, surrounded by hundreds of olive trees, but only three minutes by car from the sea. The property is accessible via a 450 m country road (sports cars are not recommended). Originally, the Farm was a farm dedicated to the cultivation of olives, wheat, vegetables and cattle breeding. Today, this structure has become a place of rest and tranquility is assured by the surrounding countryside. Four apartments overlook the main courtyard, they all have original features and each has a private outdoor area. One of these apartments is inhabited during the summer by the owners Armando and Raffaella, three of which are reserved for guests. The farm is the ideal solution for families and / or those wishing to spend a stay of relaxation and tranquility.
The Farm is located in the town of Capitolo, the seaside tourist area of the town of Monopoli which is approximately 8km away. Thanks to its privileged position, it is the ideal place to visit and organize excursions to neighboring towns, to discover the colors and flavors of yesteryear, or to spend long pleasant days along the seaside coast which offers a beautiful palette of colors, between green, turquoise and blue, on the beach or on the rocks, with services and entertainment, or to discover the wild areas. Holidays in Puglia are characterized by a beautiful sea, a remarkable historical past, a unique architectural richness and many traditions to discover. The gastronomic culture is distinguished by delicious local cuisine consisting of seafood, fresh fish, fresh vegetables, good wine, extra virgin olive oil, fresh homemade pasta, succulent cheeses and a very wide variety of cakes. Places to visit : Monopoli: Roman remains, Byzantine paintings, Norman “masserie” and Hispanic castle of Carlos V. Alberobello: entire village of white trulli houses, listed as a UNESCO heritage site. Locorotondo, Martina Franca and Cisternino: historic towns in the beautiful Itria valley. Ostuni: 'white city' with whitewashed houses. Bari: historic center, romantic cathedrals and Norman-Swabian castle. Matera: extraordinary city, houses built in the cliffs and classified as a UNESCO heritage. Trani: port city, historic palaces, cathedral and other illustrations of Pugliese romantic art.
Ci torneremo. Christina

Living like god in Italy
For our holidays, this has been the most beautiful place we have stayed at in the last years - and it is very important for us to have nice surroundings, especially on vacation! This masseria is a quiet, very peaceful place - in walking distance to the ocean and with a lot of opportunities to visit beautiful Apulian towns. At the masseria you can choose between a warm and sunny sitting place in the farmyard or a cooler place with more shadow and mostly fresh cool wind in the backyard - looking at the farmland and its old olive trees. The flat itself is located in the old farmhouse. Thick stonewalls and high celings garantee a cool atmosphere all the time. The two rooms, a living room with kitchen and a separate bedroom are mostly kept in white . Every detail is so beautiful! Even the bathroom has atmosphere. Not to forget about the yard, decorated with a lot of flourishing plants like Oleander and Caper bush.
Rafaella and Armando were unforgettable kind and helpful. Thanks a lot for everything! If the drive wasn’t so long, we would return every weekend!

formidable

absolutely marvellous!
Much more than what we expected.
The masseria is restored with respect for the old structure but in the meanwhile attention to the guest comfort - a good mix of antique and design - with a marvellous shower, a good bed, wide spaces and rooms.
The apartment is fully equipped with really anything you might need.
The terrace giving to the olive grove in the backyard is completely private, with no contact with the other apartments: a shadowy (almost all day!) place where to rest.
The masseria is 5 minutes to the sea, both sand or reef.
Last, but not least, Armando and Tina are perfect hosts: kind and discrete.
I would recommend this accomodation without any reserve.
