We had a great time staying at fallen leaf. Conveniently located near town, easy to get to, but still feels pretty private and had everything we needed.

Hello Emile, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for being a wonderful guest :)
Loved the serene location. Loved walking through the neighborhood down to the local restaurants and beach park. The beds were a little squeaky but other than that I loved the outdoor amenities, just an overall beautiful property.

Lovely, quiet little spot in the trees. Well-equipped. Good proximity to Guerneville for shopping and dining. Loved the antique stove.

Hello Lori, Thank you for staying with us and being great guests! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you all again :) We truly appreciate your feedback
A great house! It has all you need, including lots of outside space to relax. The teahouse bedroom was very comfortable and secluded. House was in a very quiet and nice neighborhood. 5 mins to town and beaches. The only minor note - there is a long flight of stairs to get to the house, which might be tricky for folks with limited mobility.

Hello! Thank you for being such a great guest! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay :) We welcome you back anytime!
This forest getaway is a green, peaceful, and wonderful escape from city life. Nestled on a quiet street and up a whimsical long staircase through the property, the house and tea house are nestled. Everything was clean, cozy, and easy to find everything. The hot tub felt great after a full day of activity, and we loved the tea house bedroom!! So gorgeous! Would definitely stay there again!

Hello Michelle, Thank you for your review and for being such wonderful guests :)
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay!
We loved our stay but the Tea House electricity went out a couple of times and it was so cold/raining we could not enjoy it. We rented the house with excitement for the tea house. Only complaint.

Hello Hannah, We’re so sorry about the issue with the Teahouse electricity during your stay! We were able to get the breaker reset during your stay, but we understand it happened again in the evening and we didn’t hear until the next day. We’ve had an electrician over to check, and we found out that we can’t have the electric fireplace and a space heater plugged in at the same time in the teahouse– or else the breaker trips. We’re looking into adding an extra electric box for the teahouse and reviewing estimates. We’ve created new signage and guest instructions to use one or the other. We’re so sorry we didn’t know before your stay to advise, but we’re so glad we were able to make up for it a bit. And, we hope you can stay with us another time to fully enjoy the teahouse and relax in the woods!
The experience was lovely and simple. Lovely outdoor patios with comfortable seating and a large hot tub. The kitchen had an antique gas stove that added to the unique feel. The neighbor homes are very close but the lay out of the property does a fantastic job of creating privacy. Extremely quiet here.

Hello Robin, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for being wonderful guests :)
We really enjoyed our stay at Fallen Leaf! We really enjoyed having the room to spread out and relax in such a beautiful setting.
The cabin instruction binder and local sites / restaurants were helpful, though the print was a bit small for some of us. :-)
Anyhow, we had a nice time hiking in the Armstrong Redwoods and paddleboarding down the Russian River.
One suggestion I might make is to install a slider screen on the kitchen slider door so that while using the propane gas stove there can be air circulation / venting.
Thanks!

Nice but small and musty.
The house was nice in a beautiful location with lots of green. The tea house that was separate from the main house seemed to have some leaks or water coming into the walls. It was very musty and moldy smelling. We opened the windows and aired out the space to make it bearable, but it was still noticeable. Otherwise, the place was fine.
Beautiful nest in the redwoods, cozy yet expansive-feeling with decks, patios, hot tub, lots of windows/sliding doors to keep the trees in view. Good kitchen and bath, lovely Japanese tea house is a gorgeous 3rd bedroom just a little separate from house. On a nice woodsy street and very quiet. 5-min. drive to town. Only one caution: 30 uneven stops up from road to front porch level. Older or disabled people could have trouble. Other than that, heavenly.

Hello Maureen, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for being such wonderful guests!
This property is gorgeous! The trees, deck, tea house and location make for a delightful getaway. Just across the road is a wonderful dry River bed that’s great for walking. The space was ideal for our dogs and well-fenced. There are neighbors on each side but the trees and ivy make you feel like you’re all alone. It’s only a few minutes from a Safeway and charming downtown Guerneville. The TV is much smaller than you might think but who needs it with nature just outside?

Thank you for being wonderful guests! We would love to host you again and are elated you enjoyed your stay
The property was as described and the location was very peaceful and beautiful. There is a securely fenced large yard for dogs as well. Check-in and out was easy and we would stay here again!
Forest bathing at its best. Falling leaf is nestled amongst the trees with ample outdoor gathering space. The house itself is also roomy with tree top views. The spa, Weber grill and porch to the back of the house & a deck with hammock to the side was ideal for lounging. Appreciating the privacy that allowed us to have outside family conversations without disturbing others. Well equipped kitchen allowed for preparing home meals. The ambiance of Falling Leaf was just what we wanted and we would return. Perfect for couples or a family vacay.

Wonderful, Serene location to relax and unwind
Our family of 5 had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas at your house. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub, the Tea House and the peace and quiet. The checking in and out instructions were very clear. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace and had fun family time. We LOVED the taco truck in the Safeway lot and the bookstore/cafe (cinnamon buns). We drove to wineries, Armstrong Redwoods, Fuller Beach and Bodega Bay. We would recommend for a quiet retreat.

Tranquil and so realxing...
This spot is one of my favorites for cozying up with close friends. It could really use an upgrade in the ability to integrate your electronics i.e. music instead of the CD player.

Peaceful and comfortable
A peaceful and comfortable setting. The surroundings of the greenery made for a peaceful stay. Nestled among trees we felt removed from hustle and bustle. Soaking in the tub within the forest added to this experience.
The kitchen was well equipped, the beds comfortable, and everything we needed wa available. Our dog was safe within the fenced yard allowing us to further relax.
We would return and recommend this house.

About the host
Hosted by Russian River Vacation Homes
We are Russian River Vacation Homes, a part of D&G Equity Management, Inc., a family owned and locally owned/operated property management company.
Our Story: In 1980, D&G founders and owners Michael and Patty saw a need in the area for habitable, affordable housing. At that time, many of the little cabins along the Russian River, originally built as summer cabins, were unsuitable for year-round occupancy. D&G assisted property owners with fixing up and renting their cabins. As the largest property management company in western Sonoma County, D&G Equity Management continues to be a staple in the Russian River community.
Russian River Vacation Homes is an off-shoot of D&G. One fine day in 1985, Michael's client, Bob, asked "Hey Mike, can you rent my cabin out just for the week or weekend instead of by the month?" Michael said "Sure!" and Russian River Vacation Homes was born. As renting vacation rentals became more popular, Russian River Vacation Homes grew into a full-time business with its own office. Today, Russian River Vacation Homes professionally manages over 60 high-quality vacation rentals.
We strive to make each and every stay the best one ever. If you have any questions or concerns about reserving or staying with us, please don't hesitate to contact us! We are here to help.
