Overall we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and well equipped. It was decorated nicely and the furnishings were comfortable. The location was fantastic in terms of proximity to everything from tourist options to grocery options. It definitely is not ideal for people with mobility issues (steep cobblestone streets and steep stairs within the building) but for the rest, the workout justifies enjoying extra pastel de nadas. Also, there are some great little restaurants within 1-3 blocks of the apartment. Checking in was very convenient and any questions I had were answered within minutes. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no air conditioning so if it is warm out, it is warm in the apartment. It is elevated enough that there is a breeze and it does cool down overnight somewhat, sometimes, and this helps, but overall the fan just moves the warm air around.
The property was very conveniently located just a short (but very steep) walk from either Rossio or Martim Moniz metro stations. We found it comfortable with a few highly rated restaurants conveniently within 200m.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The host was very easy to communicate with and had very good English. The location is close to the metro, train and lots of restaurants. It had all the amenities needed.
Well equipped and very comfortable apartment in a super location. As others have said, it's quite a steep climb to get there but very well worth it. It can be noisy at night but only from people talking - no loud music - and it didn't bother us. It was nice to hear the sounds of Lisbon life. We enjoyed our 4 day stay. Thank you.
Great apartment. It's was perfect for our stay in Lisbon. Everything was clean and our check-in person was very helpful. There are quite a few flights of stairs and he carried all of our heavy luggage. Location of the apartment is good. Close enough to attractions.
Everything was fine. You have all, what you need. Good place to start exploring the city. Many tiny little restaurants around with various original Portugues dishes but also from other nationalties.
Very recommendable.
Lovely, traditional Portuguese apartment. Clean and spacious. We took a child under 2 and the location wasn't suitable due to stairs and steep hill, however, that's our personal preference. The apartment was in a lovely location, close and accessible Rossio and surrounding areas. Would highly recommend if you don't have young children and prams.
We stayed at the property for 28 days. It was accurately depicted on the website. The apartment was comfortable for my husband and I. The steps from the ground entrance were daunting but manageable. Overall the location was great for our needs but the neighborhood could be noisy at times in the evening.

The property was just up a rather steep hill from Rossio Square. Good for Metro stop therefore.
Many local convenience stores. Also very convenient for local restaurants, we didn’t try the Senegal restaurant that the flat is above, weren’t brave enough! Ate at Two others within 50 yards of the Apartment and had some very good value typical Portuguese food. Although very close to more touristy areas, it was on a steep street with very ‘local’ vibe.

Nice remodel, dangerous stairs
The unit itself is convenient to Rossio Square. It is up a steep hill and you must ascend 3 flights of stairs that have no handrails in order to reach the apartment. It is above two restaurants and the smells can become overwhelming. The hallway and stairs are dirty. The unit itself is comfortable but if you struggle with stairs, do not stay here. I always felt safe.
Clean apartment with weekly cleaning service. Central location that we could walk to all the sights. Also close to train station. We took the train north to Porto for three days one week….and then went south to the Algarve district for three days the following week. We found the best restaurants for value and authentic Portuguese flavor were just down the block from the apartment.
I will say you need to be in shape or take your time for the hill and stairs getting back to the apartment after a day out.

Good location
Extremely loud. Neighborhood friendly but people party from 5pm until 2 or 3 am. Which means you have to shut the windows to sleep, and the apartment is hot with just one little fan. If you're a sound sleeper then this apartment is for you. If you're not in shape, then the stairs will be difficult. Overall rating: average at best.

Kudos to Sandro
Pretty clean overall. Noisey but friendly neighborhood at a.m. and p.m. requiring sleeping in the back bedroom. The apt could be better appointed as far as household supplys. Needs new nonslip mat for outside shower stall, as the floor tile is slick. Accident waiting to happen there. Sandro the manager, is awesome.
Alexandra was brilliant from the time of booking until we arrived. As with previous reviews, you do need to be relativley fit to get up the hill, and still have enough strength to climb the narrow stairs to the apartment. The appartment is compact but full of Lisbon character. Yes it can get noisy but you are in a capital city so should be expected. The double glazing prevents most of it, although it may be an issue when its hot and they need to be opened. Shout out to Sandro who met us and helped us with our luggage, really helpful and knowledgable, thank you. Lisbon has plenty of old character and has become our favorite city we have visited.

Some unpleasant surprises.
There was an infestation of bedbugs while I was in residence. I told the host about the problem. but they didn't believe me. At last, I found a bug on the pillow and suddenly, they wanted for me to get out of the apartment. The apartment was in an area half way up a steep hill and after a full day of activities was quite a trek. I didn't realize it was a third story walk-up and so I developed stronger muscles for climbing the hill and the stairs. It was clean and well-laid out.
We had an ok stay at this property! First & foremost the stairs are treacherous!!! Five steep flights on the narrow dark staircase would not be ideal for everyone.
The condo is in need of an update. The pillows are terribly flat. Coffee maker didn’t work.
The location is good we walked for dinner every night.
We found it very hard to get any sleep as there’s a African restaurant right beside which has people & children outside screaming all hours of the night! If you had the windows closed it was too hot in the condo.
We still enjoyed ourselves & Lisbon but we like to be truthful in our reviews.
Basic amenities with enough to cook for yourself and do laundry.
The location is amazing. If you enjoy walking and immersing yourself in the local culture, this is the place to do it. Plenty of local shopping, tons of terrific historical sites, and all the local flavor you could ask for. We walked and used public transit for an entire week, and still didn't get to see everything we could have from this location.
If you want my suggestion, get fit and wear comfortable shoes. None of the walking is leisurely, but it's worth doing. If it's your first time in Portugal and appreciate history, walk to the Lisboa Story Centre first. It will give you a great historical context for everything else you'll see during your visit.
Saldo met us at the property to show us some basic functions (the lighting in the stairs are on a timer). He is a terrific person to be greeted by and made to feel welcome.
Thank you!
It's true what others have said....
The place is cute and functional.
The smell from the Sengalese restaurant can be a lot if the windows are open.
There were people from the restaurant sitting on our step/stoop but agreeably moved when we asked. No issues.
The hills and the stairs can be alot too, so leave your cute sandals home. :D
The only disappointment was we couldn't even leave the windows cracked at night for air bc of street conversations that carried and ricocheted around the street until super late hours, even 3:30am one night. Closing all windows warmed the apartment pretty quick and there was only 1 fan although we requested a second it never showed up which made sleeping not entirely comfortable.
My 15 year-old son and I stayed for 7 days during our first trip to Lisbon. I loved the location--just minutes from Rossio Square and the metro. We were able to walk nearly everywhere. Just be aware that the walk and stairs to the apartment are small and steep. We were fortunate to have Sandro's help getting our small suitcases upstairs. Regarding the home, some of the neighbors can get a little loud--but I just shut the window if it became bothersome. (The weather was so nice, I kept the window and doors to the balcony most of the time we were there. The room was very clean and comfy for a small family. Aside from the microwave, refrigerator, and washing machine, we didn't use much of the kitchen--but it is very well set-up for those who like to cook. There are a couple of mercados nearby for necessities.
The water pressure was enjoyably strong and warm (sometimes too hot!)--so there are no worries about cold showers here! The beds were comfy and perfect for resting after long days of sight-seeing. I'd highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!
