Beach Front 4 bed 2 bath plus outdoor shower, with a huge 1600 square foot deck. Comfortably sleeps 12. Just minutes from Water Slides, Grocery Store, shopping, and multiple restaurants. Free High speed internet. Home hosts large groups with ease. The living and kitchen areas are open and bright with unobstructed views of the beach and ocean with a wall of windows. We love to watch our family enjoying the beach from the deck, and can yell for them when time to come back. We love to cook at the beach, so the Kitchen is set with dishes, pots, silverware, cooking utensils, baking utensils, Keurig and standard drip coffee pot, toaster and crockpot. New appliances as of September 2021. Living room has plenty of seating for all! 3 sofas, 1 love seat, 2 oversized chairs and a rocking recliner, 60" smart flat screen TV with tons of streaming options. Master bedroom has a king bed, wall mounted Smart TV and large attached bathroom. Bed 2 and 3 both have queen beds and smart TV’s, bed 4 has two twin over full solid wood custom built bunk beds and a Smart TV. Home has a whole home dehumidifier, as well as new ac system. The 1,500sqft HUGE deck has a large picnic table, 6 counter height deck chairs with table. Perfect for morning coffee, sunning, kites, and watching the stars at night. Downstairs features full concrete under home area, an outdoor shower to clean up after coming in from the beach, and a foot wash at the base of the stairs. Charcoal barbecue pit available, but bring your own if you plan to have an extensive BBQ. Plenty space for parking is available under the house and on adjacent lot.

All my family really enjoyed staying at the Beachhouse. Right in front of the beach, just walking onto the sand no driving needed. It was really great. House was big enough for all of us, 10 altogether. The stay was excellent and I would do it again. The only thing would be to get all accesses needed before had. I couldn’t use the lift cage because we had no key to it or combination. Texted the owner but never got back to us to tell us how to access it. Other than that, it was really great.

Perfect for families

We loved this property! We brought our 4, 3, and 18month old kids. The deck was awesome, the fans in each room were great, and the kitchen was well stocked! We hope to stay again next year! Highly recommend for families!

Family Beach Getaway

We love everything about the house and location! Grandkids are already wanting to book it for next year :) 2021 is a bad year in for mosquitoes so don't forget your repellant and citronella candles for the deck!

Wonderful beach front home

This house is in a perfect location! The living and kitchen area are very spacious and open. The porch area is huge and provides a fabulous view. The lift and outside shower are huge assets to this property.

Wilson’s Christmas Vacation

We had a wonderful time. The weather was colder than normal this year, despite that the accommodations were impeccable! The house was great, and the location is very relaxing. Our kids had fun collecting seashells and shopping in Galveston.

Great Home for Easy Trip

Angela is very responsive. Home is perfect for beach, right off the sand. The deck is gorgeous. Home has well stocked kitchen. Very spacious space - we had eight adults and some kids and never felt cramped. Neighborhood is quiet for beach front. I highly recommend!

Owner very responsive

Had a great time - 6 people and no issues with hot water. Plenty of room for everyone. One of the smoke detectors started chirping overnight due to low battery. Emailed the owner since it was out of reach and needed a ladder - he had someone there 9:00 a.m. that morning to fix the issue. Beach was fairly busy on Saturday and Sunday (we stayed the first part of August). During the weekdays, much lower beach traffic.

Comfortable home

Very open and comfortable. No closet for hanging clothes in the master and no dish towels in the kitchen. Other than that, it was nice, great location and view.

Enjoy the Beach!!!

The location was amazing!! The beach was beautiful! The house was spacious, we bought a few extra box fans so every room would have one and left them there for future visitors. The property need an outdoor storage, we had to buy boogie boards and sand toys and couldn't take them home. I wish there was some there to use! It was fantastic and relaxing!!!!! Will visit again! We were a party of 7 adults and 1 teenager 2 tweens and 2 little ones! This place was perfect!

Great Location and View

You cannot beat the location of the house. The proximity to the beach made it easy to run back and grab something if we forgot it. Sitting on the patio at the end of the day made for great people watching as well. Check in was very easy. Listing was accurate. The beds were comfy but I would bring my own pillows as a few people did not like the ones provided (minor inconvenience). They recently installed a lift which was amazing when it came to hauling ice chests, food, and luggage up and down.

Loved it so much we booked it for next year!

We've stayed in beach houses in the area before but this one had the best location and space for all of us to be together; from the large deck to the spacious living room. The only drawback is that there is not a 50-amp hook up like shown in the pictures. It was replaced with a 110v outlet so our friends could not hook up their RV while visiting. But that worked out since the mosquitos were so bad on the lower level. Other than that, we can't complain. We booked it for the same time next year!

Needs Repairs!

Good location, but the home is getting run down and needs LOTS of repairs and maintenance! None of this shows on the website or pictures. Way over priced for the quality of this home. Disappointing.

Amazing View

03-22-2024 to 03-25-2024 We really enjoyed our stay at "WaterHouse". The cabin was nice and comfortable. We over packed! Everything we brought was already available. The beds were comfortable. The location is perfect! The morning sunrise is breathtaking! We all enjoyed gathering outside each morning to watch the sunrise. Even the small children were mesmerized by the beautiful masterpiece. The weather was cold and windy but the cabin made our trip worth it. There wasn't anything to do on the Peninsula due to the time of year. I was surprised because it was spring break for some. We visited Galveston a few times. We stayed in mostly and played games. It was a great experience in spite of not being able to enjoy the beach. Next time -I will be mindful of scheduling our future trip for "in season".

Plenty of living space / but not all as described on listing

We went to the beach house for my 60th birthday on Easter weekend . Our group of 9 found it comfortable especially the dining/kitchen and living space is spacious , kitchen very well equipped .However , some couch were beat up and half of them did not work (lazy boy mechanism) . The description said 11 beds but there is 7 beds to sleep up to 12 people but the "kid's "room with bunk beds was useless . Nobody wanted to take those beds with the hassle to climb to the top and it was the warmest room in such a tight space ( the provided fans helped) .The description said 3 FULL BATH while in facts there were only 2 full bathrooms , and one of them was in the master bedroom and NOT connecting to the main hallway where the other 3 bedrooms were . Bottom-line 6 of our guests had to share a bathroom and half of them had to get through the master bedroom to shower when the bathroom was busy ,not practical ! there is an outdoor shower and a foot water spray down the stairs near the parking .We would have enjoyed the house location if it wasn't from all the cars, RV's, pick ups and noisy partiers allows to drive ON THE BEACH by the city of Crystal Beach . The outdoor space was spacious and beautiful view from the deck . There was only 4 seating chairs for the whole group , I thought there were more from the listing and pictures showing a hammock and more chairs .

Descent Property, but Renter Beware

Property is in a great location, right on the beach. It is 4 bedrooms but there doesn’t seem to be air conditioning flow in 3 of them. It is not 3 bathrooms, it’s 2 bathrooms + an outdoor shower. If everything goes well and you do not need to interact with homeowner should be fine, however in our case we lost power for 12 hours during a 100+ degree heat advisory. 4 of the people in our group left the property. I wrote the homeowner to ask for a refund/discount on the duration of the stay without power and was met with skeptical questions and the threat of a lawsuit should an unfavorable review be posted. He did offer to cover spoiled food but then when I provided the dollar amount, stopped responding. I would never rent from this person again. Pros: ⁃ right on the beach ⁃ Great deck out back ⁃ Washer / dryer on site work great Cons ⁃ Not 3 bathrooms. 2 full baths + outdoor shower ⁃ Air conditioning in 3 of the bedrooms doesn’t seem to flow. Box fans are provided in those rooms ⁃ The ceiling fan cannot be used in the bunk room if top bunk is used (safety - if person sits up they’ll be at risk of being hit) adding to lack of air flow ⁃ Homeowner is combative / disrespectful ⁃ Place is overall a little rundown - missing window treatments, furniture looks a little older

Why they chose this property

Our original beach house was destroyed by Hurricane Ike when our daughter was just 2 years old. We spent Memorial weekend 2008 there, and as we were leaving she waved to it and said, 'Bye bye water house.' Thirteen days later the house was gone with most of the peninsula. Rebuilding was a labor of love and in spring of 2012 we spent our first weekend in the 'Water House' on the beach we love.

What makes this property unique

We love Crystal Beach, the atmosphere is relaxed, and there is usually not a ton of traffic. We have full access to the beach, campfires, fishing and shell searching. We love to park on the beach to easily transport coolers and such, while still having easy access to our house. I am always able to keep an eye on the rest of the family at the house, while playing on the beach. Our kiddos love to go to the water slides just down the street, they will spend hours running up and sliding down! Our children and family LOVE the Water House!
