HartHill Grange Bunkhouse - Unique 1850's Rural Country Accommodation

Harthill Grange Bunkhouse can sleep 20 people maximum, in bunkbeds between 3 rooms. Set in the beautiful Wye Valley, and with the Forest Of Dean on the doorstep, there is plenty of offer for all ages and abilities.

During seasonal periods, there will be a minimum 3 night stay.

The Space

Harthill Grange is an 1850's Barn Conversion, that's been lovingly restored by the owners Rob & Claire.

Harthill Grange Bunkhouse can accommodate up to 20 guests, with two large rooms sleeping 8 per room in bunkbeds, with a third room sleeping 4.
There are two bathrooms downstairs, each with two showers, two toilets and two sinks.

There is a well equipped kitchen which has all necessary appliances, utensils, crockery, 2 ovens and a mixed seating area. There is a television on the wall in the kitchen which is for guest use and has various channels.

There is a spacious hallway, with plenty of hooks to hang up coats and bags, and plenty of space to store those muddy walking boots.

There is a large but cosy living room with log burner and 4 large sofas, with a wall mounted TV.

The Bunkhouse is provided with bedding and linen on beds, however we do not provide towels.

We also have baby facilities available, we can provide the following : Cot, Pram, Changing Mat & High Chair

There will be cleaning chemicals, such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and surface sprays provided. As well as toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, tea towels and cloths.

If you stay with us and don't want the hassle of going out shopping before, we can accept a food shopping order for our guests, just let us know the expected delivery time so someone is available to receive it.

There is outside space for Bunkhouse guests, this is located at the side of the building by the picnic benches and BBQ. Hot TuB hire available at additional booking cost.

The owners manage the property and live onsite in a different part of the building.

The Forest of Dean is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is very local to where we are situated, with many different activities and sights for everyone to see. We overlook the Wye Valley from the Bunkhouse site, and again, there is plenty for everyone to see and do.

Directions from M4 way or M5 and down from Gloucester ways as we are down a restricted byway track, and remote!

M4 route in:

M48 exit for Chepstow

Take signs to Tintern Abbey (ignore sat nav if it tries to take you through back of Chepstow.)

Past the abbey, sign to "old station tea rooms" take next Right after that over old white iron bridge to Brockweir

Carry up road 1.3 miles, road bends round to Right but take Left signed onto Belmont / Sandy lane, follow Round sharp Right hand bend, up hill.

Go past Greystones House on your left, and a cream bungalow on your right, at brow of hill you then take Left hand turn onto a restricted byway track by a big stone wall, (signed to Harthill Grange 300m) follow track all way down and we are only house at end, big square house Harthill Grange.

M5 / Gloucester route:

A48 Gloucester and all the way down to St Briavels.

When you leave the village of St Briavels take the 1st Right out of the village to St Briavels common, then exit left onto sandy lane at the intersection of sandy lane / coldharbour.

On sandy lane when you get to a big cream house saying Harthill House, we are the track that branches to the Right of Harthill House if you have it on your Right. At the end of the track is Harthill Grange.

After Booking, an access code for the Keypad entry to Bunkhouse, and the Wi-Fi code will be sent to the booking email address, the week before arrival.
