Pirates Cove 9 Bed/9 Bath, large hot tub, private fire pit, double dock

We are situated in Lakeside Estates which is a gated community with its own boat launch, swimming pool and basketball court.

Our unique set up has 3 cabins next to each other for family or friends to be together. Pirates Cove (VRBO #681261) Treasure Cove (VRBO search #1010047) and Captains Cove (VRBO search 582327) are next to each other with driveway access above and walkway access below.  There is an arial picture showing the cabins and how they are next to each other.  Pirates and Treasure are on the same driveway and Captains is a separate driveway.  But all three cabins have access with a walkway below.  Each cabin has similar layouts and amenities. 

There are 9 spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms. Walk out the patio door to the waterfront, enjoy the double deck dock with slide and a view of the cove of Norris Lake. The cove is quiet, there are no waves from lake traffic, great swimming for all ages.

The top floor has a large open kitchen equipped with 2 refrigerators with water and ice in door, 2 dishwashers, gas range, large double door pantry, large bar that seats 8, granite counter tops, dining room and living room. Kitchen is well equipped with dinnerware, pots N pans, and too many small appliances to mention. The living room has an awesome view of the cove with a half bath for everyone to use. There are 2 bedrooms, each with a king bed and private attached bathroom.


The middle floor has a centralized washer/dryer and living area. The four bedrooms on this floor have attached bathrooms. All four bedrooms have one queen bed and day bed with trundle (each with their own bathroom). Patio on this floor has a relaxing view of the cove and mountains all around.

The bottom level has 3 bedrooms, with attached bathrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed with a child bed, one bedroom has 2 bunk beds (full on bottom and twin on top), and the third has a bunk bed (full on bottom twin on top) with a twin trundle bed . There is a half bath on this level for everyone to use. This floor has easy access to the lake. There are 2 arcade games with a gathering area to entertain for all ages. The bar has a sink, dishwasher, refrigerator and bar stools.

Pirates Cove has plenty of parking located in Lakeside Estates. Easy access, 20 minutes off I-75.

Please note from October to April we have seasonal water and the dock will be removed. Don't worry The fun never stops at Pirates!

Everything here was amazing and we'll definitely rent again next year. The house was perfect for our large family of 21. We had a blast jumping and sliding off the dock, caught bass, catfish, carp, and crappie, and did a ton of activities on the lake!

Great place with lots of room and rooms! Very clean and equipped very well for a large family or families. The views are beautiful. There are a lot of steps to the dock and water but they are very manageable. We enjoyed the water sports equipment. The multiple decks were nice and the house had a lot of places to hang out. We would highly recommend Pirate’s Cove!

We stayed at the property for a week this Summer and it was terrific! It was as described on VRBO. The owners and manager were responsive and courteous. There was a minor issue, to which they helped rectify immediately beyond our expectation. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Summer vacation

This property was very nice and has all the things you need/want. It’s tucked away in a great cove for plenty of swimming, jumping from the dock, or sliding into the water. We are 4 families (total of 16 ranging from 6-46) and there was plenty of room for all! Plus I don’t think I heard “I am bored” one time from the littles, or the teens. If you are bringing a boat the launching point is super close and there is plenty of room to have a second boat. You will not be disappointed at all. The only thing that we found that was a little issues was the dock got super slick, even if you were not running.

Great Location for Families

We stayed at Pirates Cove the week of July 18 - 25. We understood the house was brand new so we were a little nervous about how finished it would be for a group of 6 families. When we arrived we could not have been more pleased with the layout, furnishings, and amenities. The pictures on VRBO do not convey how beautiful and well decorated the house really is. It sits in a large round cove with several other houses and it is a perfect spot for swimming or kayaking. We brought two ski boats and three jet skis and it is about a 10 minute ride to the skiing and tubing spots we liked best. The added attraction was we could stop every day at the jumping bridge for the kids. Our group consisted of 6 families with 24 people and the house was just fine. The only thing it could use would be one bedroom with four bunks so we could pile in the younger kids into one room. The kitchen is awesome with two dishwashers, huge fridge, and good size dining table. island is huge as well and is a great place to have breakfast or hang out. Overall we loved it and would come back again.

Let’s start with the positive… Check in was super easy! Directions were great. The lake is beautiful and we had so much fun on the double dock. The kids loved the water slide and jumping off the top. We paid extra for the water package and used the kayaks, the huge pad, and paddle boards every day. There was plenty of space for our large group of 19. We especially appreciated that every bedroom had its own bathroom! Two dishwashers and two refrigerators were so helpful!Now to the not so good…We stayed here years ago and loved it. Since then, the furnishings have really gone downhill. One of the couches was so lumpy it was hard to sit on! Most of the beds were not very comfortable. The knives in the kitchen were super dull, the non stick and some of the cookware wasn’t very clean. When we walked in it seemed clean. But it could use a deep clean. Maybe it was because we were there in August and it had been cleaned well at the beginning of the season, but there were spider webs and dirty cupboards. There were several steps leading down to the water that were rotted and one of the boards in the upper dock as well. The host was very responsive when I texted about that and had someone fix them quickly, which I appreciated. She said they were going to do a major repair at the end of the season, but my son in law stepped on two different boards that broke under his feet! All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but for the amount of money for one week, I guess we expected a little more.

Perfect family vacation! Fun, Beautiful, Clean

We stayed a week with 3 other families with 8 children total, varying in ages from 5-13. Every single child said that it was the best vacation that they have ever been on. My 10 year old said ‘Mom, this is going to be hard to top.’ Pirates Cove is amazing. The house more than accommodated our group. We were in awe as we walked into a clean, spacious and beautifully decorated home. There are 2 kitchen refrigerators, 2 kitchen dishwashers, a huge pantry, plenty of room to sit and spread out. The 4 deck views are beautiful with inviting seating. The children’s favorite part of the house was the double decker deck with the slide. They all spent many hours hanging out there, fishing for blue gill right off of the dock, and floating in the water in the quiet and calm cove. We rented their very nice pontoon and had a ball with it all week pulling children in tubes. The hot tub was a perfect way to end a day overlooking the lake. I could go on and on. The week was amazing. I cannot think of a single complaint. Thank you Lammer's for letting us stay in your home! We hope to come back.

We live in Ohio and find Tennessee picture perfect all year round. One of our favorite things we do is have morning coffee on the upstairs patio and admire the view. It never seems to get old looking at the mountainous landscape.

This property is right next door to our other cabin, Treasure Cove. The cove is quiet, no boat traffic, and the view is outstanding.

We rent 2 surf boards, 2 kayaks, and a 6 X 12 ft. Lily pad, at reasonable rates to our renters.
