Lisheen is in exceptional harbourside home, in impeccable condition inside & out. The 4,500sq ft property is situated on circa 2.5 acres of mature gardens/lawns, with a number of fine Monterey Cypress Trees. A quite recently added sun room affords an even better first impression of the quality which the property delivers within. Outside in the gardens there is a large gazebo with central four-person hot tub under a glazed roof apex, this is an inspired all weather addition for night-time star-gazing & stunning day & night-time views out over the waters to Courtmacsherry.

This beautiful home and its lovely gardens exceeded our high expectations. We had plenty of room for everyone in our multigenerational family group to relax together and apart. The location in proximity to golf and Kinsale and west Cork was terrific. We felt we had found a hideaway from the bustle.
We had a wonderful time in Lisheen house -3 families and Granny ( including 7 kids 6-16yrs)! Ample room for all and fantastic facilities
Lots to do and see around the area or just stay put and enjoy the peace and tranquillity outside the front door !
Super friendly and informative hosts making our stay easy and stress free. Definitely recommend lisheen house !!
It is hard to put into words what a magical experience we had staying at Lisheen House. Our host could not have been more accommodating and our stay could not have been more delightful. The house, the grounds and the view were more beautiful than advertised.
We had a wonderful 2 week stay at Lisheen House to escape the Florida heat, and simply decompress. Our stay could not have been more lovely. The house more than accommodated our party of 6 . My daughter and son are both wonderful cooks and provided us with lovely dinners on the Aga with the local produce, when we were not dining in area restaurants.
The gardens were beyond lovely, and as a photographer, I spent many wonderful hours capturing images of the beautiful flowers.
Our time was everything we hoped for. Thanks
We chose Lisheen House to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our family and my dad's two-year heavenly birthday. We wanted to bring my 86-year-old mother back to Ireland for one last time and this magical place did not disappoint. After some significant issues with the VRBO company (I WILL NOT use this vacation company again), Ed helped facilitate a memorable family vacation.
Ed opened the communication with us from the start, willing to adjust our dates as my family decided on their flight plans. We had some difficulty finding the place due to internet issues requiring us to use the car's GPS. I recommend that you DO NOT use this as your source of directions. It took us to the most remote and ridiculous roads in all of Ireland. We found our way around significantly better when we switched to Apple Maps.
Once we arrived, Nadia welcomed us and showed us around making accommodations with additional cots and bed sheets in case our number of guests changed. The house is a lovely mix of old-time Irish charm with a quaint cottage feel, amazing gardens, magnificent Cypress trees, and an AGA Irish stove, yet with significant space for big gatherings or quiet morning tea in the sunroom.
There are so many areas for quiet solitude as well as large group activities. Finally, I can't forget the gorgeous artwork throughout the house. It is truly a magical place to spend celebratory or solitude times.
We spent just under two weeks here with our family. The house was beautiful and spacious with more than enough room for the folks who needed an 'office' to work in during some of the days. The grounds around it were delightful to relax in during the stunning weather of our trip. The two most amazing elements must have been the AGA and the conservatory. The AGA was a pleasure to cook on and nothing we had ever experienced before. The couches in the Conservatory were nearly never empty as someone plopped down to read a book in front of a stunning view of the cove and Courtmacsherry across the way. The tub was highly contested over, so if you are the bath bomb type--bring some with you!
We are all absolutely looking forward to returning here in the future.

This is a wonderful property which overlooks the water. There are beautiful gardens and play areas. The hot tub was a really nice place to unwind and enjoy views of the sea and gardens. Ample bedrooms and bathrooms and a large kitchen. We loved our stay.
We had a very relaxing time in Lisheen House. The house and gardens are beautiful.
It’s a great base for visiting other West Cork attractions, but equally one could relax all day in the garden looking out onto Courtmacsherry bay.
There are lots of good restaurants near by and it’s only a short drive from Kinsale or Clonakilty.
We had a wonderful holiday at Lisheen House. The house is a beautiful period home which has been modernised to a very high standard while retaining all of its original character. The grounds are spectacular and beautifully manicured with different levels, offering plenty of play space and opportunities for privacy all at once. A newly fitted play area was perfect for the grandchildren, ages 1 to 3 years while the adults made great use of the hot tub to provide a real "on-holidays" feeling. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Dreamy views, heavenly garden, historic home and gracious owner!
The Lisheen House exceeded all of our expectations. Ever dream of living in a luxurious country estate surrounded by lavish gardens and gently rolling hills right on the water? This estate is right out of a dream or a period drama! We will return some day and strongly recommend that you treat yourself to this once in a lifetime experience. Note: the property owner was the most friendly, generous and helpful VRBO owners that I've ever met. He ensured that we had a delightful stay and a memorable vacation in the loveliest part of Ireland.
We spent an unforgettable 10 days at Lisheen House with friends. Altogether we had 4 kids ages 6 to 11 with us and the house was ideal. It one of a kind setting, bountiful but not too precious for kids amenities and location for exploring both West Cork, Cork City and everything in between meant the best of all worlds we’re at our doorstep - beaches, fishing, sailing, shopping, hikes/walking trails, culture, great food, etc! There truly was something for everyone, including a beautiful home to cook in or curl up with a great book. The lovely grounds, including hot tub and trampoline, meant there was always something for the kids to do. Can’t wait to return!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lisheen house! The property is literally stunning with beautiful gardens and huge trees lining the driveway...pictures can’t do it justice. Ed, the property owner, was so accommodating and helpful with planning our stay...really made our stay in Ireland perfect.

Amazing Property - Stunning Views
We were a party of 8 and this house could easily accommodate more. The views from the house were amazing and it was only a 20 minute drive to Kinsale which is beautiful. The family could not have been more hospitable and made us feel so welcome and at home. Would highly recommend
