We are located in the Serra de S Mamede nature reserve, where silence and vegetation prevail. The most audible noise is that of frogs at the end of the day and that of the rooster at dawn
Enjoy the walks in the mountains, a dip in the dam of the apartadura surrounded by pine forests or cool off in the farm's shale tank
The house has no other guests, so there is total peace of mind.
If you want some movement, excitement, music, events, etc. it will not be the ideal place
But if what you want are a few days of rest, to read, rest, meditate, contemplate nature, disconnecting from the other world that presses us so much on a daily basis, then Casa da Charca is the ideal place

Perfect peaceful retreat

This property is perfect for a private and peaceful holiday- Teresa was very helpful with travel arrangements etc and was very welcoming when we arrived. She made it clear that the area of the casa and the pool were for us to use as we pleased. The surroundings are stunningly beautiful and we quickly settled into a daily routine. The lighting for the track to the casa and from the casa to the pool area is controlled from the casa, so staying around the pool after dark is fine, as is turning off all the lights and seeing the night stars. We loaded up with food on the way, but shopping is easy with a car. The furniture and furnishings inside and outside are good quality and it felt like the owners take a real pride in looking after their guests

Sind zum Festival von Marvao gefahren und haben nicht nur Kultur pur genossen, sondern auch dazwischen die Stille und Ruhe in einer Idylle an einem herrlichen swimming pool nur umgeben von Hühnern, Vögeln, Oliven und Feigenbäumen. Teresa und Miguel Serrano sind wunderbare Gastgeber, das apartment ist zwar winzig, hat aber alles und bei schönem Wetter ist die Teressa und der pool-bereich ein zusätzlicher Wohnbereich

Perfect for four days in Alentejo

We spent four nights here in October 2018 and used it as a base to explore the surrounding countryside, including the nearby lake and the towns of Castelo de Vide, Marvão, Portalegre and Portagem. Ce petit coin de paradis est véritablement reposant. Le studio est très bien agencé, confortable et décoré avec beaucoup de soins et de goût. Adorámos a nossa estadia na Casa da Charca. Fomos muito bem recebidos pelos proprietários e recomendamos para quem queira passar uns dias de descanso na zona do Marvão. Tínhamos à nossa espera uma garrafa de vinho e uns doces regionais bem como comida no frigorífico para prevenir o primeiro pequeno-almoço da estadia. A Quinta é muito agradável e perfeita para passar uns dias rodeado de silêncio revigorante.
