We found the key very difficult to open the door and perhaps it's time to put on a proper door lock that would provide better security.
The lockbox was extremely difficult to open and I have use plenty of lockboxes in Canada that are simple to use...should get a better one

It’s a shame you didn’t mention you had a problem upon arrival, I am always on the end of a phone ready to help. In the confirmation letter, which you had left printed out in the kitchen counter, it explains you need to squeeze the box before pulling gently, this is to ensure the top doesn’t flip open and allow water ingress. It is very simple to operate ,and I’ve never had a complaint about it before, but if you don’t squeeze then it won’t budge. The main door lock has been a bit sticky as I’ve had to keep recutting keys when guests leave with them, but I’m replacing the lock when it all quietens down. It’s a bit irritating the first time, but usually surmountable. I see from the nice comments in the guest book they you enjoyed your stay, so it’s a shame to give my lovely cottage a low star rating because of an issue with the key box, which had you read the instruction sent out in advance you would have seen it was actually an operational error. You’ll note that when I went to the cottage to clean I sent you a message apologising for your problem, explaining it and wishing you a good onward journey. Some positive comments on your review would have been very welcome.....

Spent four days at the cottage and loved it all. Wonderfully equipped, great location and very comfortable. Beautifully decorated to a very high standard. Would definitely recommend or return if we are in the area.
