7 Minutes far from Tours City, and 15/20 mibutes far from most of famous chateaux (Amboise, Chenonceau, Villandry ...)
Authentic stone built house with high level comfort (beds, equipped kitchen, large TV, wi fi) , in the park of the château; completely independant, with a dedicated lawn and garden furniture . Gardens. Woods and forest around. very calm and quiet.
Perfect to visit Loire Valley châteaux: 15 minutes far from Chenonceaux, Villandry, Amboise and Clos Lucé Leonard de Vinci machines.
Very close to Tours city (7 minutes)
For 2 to 6 persons.
You will discover your house, and also the chapel in the woods of the property.
A lot of nice places to have a rest or admire a wonderful panorama on Loire Valley.
The house for rent includes a well equipped kitchen with a 6 persons table, a large living room with a fire place of Loire Valley area, 3 large bedrooms , 2 bathrooms (shower and bath).2 toilets
Very nice decoration: french 'Toile de Jouy', charm and high confort. Very clean, renewed in 2024-2025
Discover the troglodites / old cellars of the property (caves close to the house garantees cool temperature in the house in summer... very appreciated...)
The house is organized on ground floor + first and second floors. Stairs, No lift.
Close to the village, restaurants and shopping center; bicycle tracks close from the house, fishing, canoe cayak renting possibilities in the village.
Heated large swimming pool available for a nice time ...when coming back from visiting the castles... (heated in season: June 1rst to September 15th; possibly sooner and later, depending on weather conditions: please, ask us)
A wonderful place for rest and pleasure of nice holidays.

A beautiful property and Marie is a perfect host, very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and nothing was too much trouble. The property was clean very well equipped and had more than we could have needed. Marie has a great decorative style to this interesting home. An amazing experiece, definitely reccomend!

Wow - what an amazing experience! We truly enjoyed our stay in Larçay. Marie-Noëlle was a very friendly, communicative and generous hostess, giving us lots of tips and suggestions about what to do in the area, and bringing us goodies and treats to enjoy. The property is beautiful and inviting - we felt immediately at home. The cottage in which we stayed - previously the gardener's home - was spotless, charming, and cool, even in 30+ degree temperatures. The pool was a refreshing reprieve after a long day out in the country. All in all, our visit to the Loire Valley was made all the more perfect thanks to our stay on this property. Thank you, Marie-Noëlle!

Un très joli séjour

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à Larcay. La maison est tout à fait conforme aux photos, très agréable, décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Il n'y manquait rien. Petit bonus : les étagères du salon et de l'une des chambres contiennent des livres pour petits et grands, de quoi déconnecter et se mettre au rythme des vacances. Le château est bien placé pour les visites. la piscine a fait le plaisir des enfants. Marie-Noelle a été attentionnée et discrète, passionnée par sa région et disponible pour aiguiller pour les visites ou les bonnes adresses. Nous recommandons.

An opportunity to stay in an historical setting

Our family of four greatly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property just 10 minutes outside Tours centre. We stayed in the three level stone Gardener’s house located on a gated estate with the owner’s home and one another stone home. Marie-Noëlle was an exceptional hostess, very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area offering restaurant (“le 19”), chateau and bakery recommendations. She generously offered fresh goat’s cheese and a beautiful sparkling wine from the region which we enjoyed. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well equipped. There is a small area to walk in the woods around the estate and a large lawn to enjoy eating and sunning. Table tennis and foos-ball available as well. The small village of Larçay is a 12 minute walk away with pharmacie and boulangerie. Access to the chateaux - Villandry, Chenconceaux, and Chateau Clos et Luce are within a 20 minute drive, all well worth the visit. Gros merci Marie-Noëlle!

Locatie is gelegen op mooi terrein bij een groot landhuis. Net huis, ruime kamers, en voorzien van wasmachine en vaatwasser. In de tuin een mooi overdekt zwembad van 10 bij 5, wel te delen met het andere huisje. Vriendelijke gastvrouw, die goede tips had voor bezienswaardigheden en eetlocaties. Al met al erg plezierig verblijf gehad. Enige minpuntje is dat de badkamer vanuit de ouderslaapkamer alleen te bereiken was via een andere slaapkamer, maar verder kan ik geen negatieve punten verzinnen. Mooi verblijf gehad en zeker aan te raden om deze streek te bezoeken.

Relaxing stay in lovely property

Well situated in the Loire, the house is well equipped in the grounds of a larger property. Good private area and large pool shared with one other house. The property is secluded and tranquil but with views over the river and beyond. Marie is a very attentive but discreet host, always available to help. Shops and other amenities a short drive away. Thank you for a lovely stay during the challenging pandemic.

Immersion complète près des châteaux de la Loire

Nous occupions l'ex-maison du jardinier de cette belle propriété. Une charmante demeure à 2 étages qui nous a permis de faire un saut dans le passé (murs en pierres, meubles anciens, décoration avec de beaux objets chinés, tissus d'inspiration classique,...) tout en profitant du modernisme et du luxe de notre époque (wifi, grand écran de télévision, piscine couverte, 2 salles de bain, ...). La fraîcheur des pièces au rez de chaussée était bien agréable cet été, mais la température dans la grande chambre sous les toits s'avérait par contre élevée. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine chez Madame Noëlle, une dame très souriante et avenante. Elle considère son château comme son coin de paradis et met tout en oeuvre pour que les locataires repartent avec un merveilleux souvenir de leur séjour, tant les petits que les grands. Nous étions idéalement situés pour visiter les châteaux de la Loire et nous avons reçu de bons conseils de notre hôte afin de profiter au mieux de chaque visite ou attraction. Je recommande ce logement à quiconque cherche un peu de dépaysement et de sérénité. La vie de château au bord du Cher et à quelques kilomètres des majestueux palais de la Loire.

Lovely home in the Loire Valley

Our family of four stayed at this lovely home in July following the heat wave in Europe. The owner met us at the gate, walked us through the home, and gave us some history of the property. The home is one of two vacation rentals on the grounds of a larger home, which is occupied by the owners. It was private, comfortable, and well equipped. The pool was a wonderful diversion for the kids (2 teenagers); it is shared with the other rental. The owner gave us many suggestions for things to do in the area; if only we had had more time! A short drive away you will find a grocery store that is well stocked. many chateaux are within 30 -60 minutes of the home. The town of Amboise and Clos du Luce was fun to explore. I highly recommend this rental!

We cannot recommend this home enough! Marie was wonderful! Very accommodating and provided us with great information on where to visit and eat. She was kind enough to make dinner reservations for us for our final night. The meal was the favorite of our trip! The grounds are beautiful and the home is clean and comfortable. Charming but needs updating

We had a nice week's stay at this house. It was very clean and authentic and Marie Noelle is very friendly and helpful with lots of tips of what to see and do in the area. The architecture of the property meant it felt genuinely French and it really felt special to be in the peaceful grounds of the chateau with stunning views. The property was extremely clean but did not have the feel of recent renovation; for example, no lid on the toilet seat which was held on with string. Potential renters should know that the bathrooms are both accessed via bedrooms which means that guests in the main double bedroom do not have free access to either of the bathrooms - and the third toilet is outside. This is fine with young children but not ideal with teens or other adults. The pool is a good size and our teenagers enjoyed a good splash in it but it wasn't that well maintained. We had some super days out cycling but always had to put our bikes on the car and travel to the routes as there is no cycle path nearby.

Thanks for your nice words about our property. Sorry for the toilet seat broken by children of our previous guests: special size, so it was available with some delay and of course now repaired ! I forgot to warn you about this detail. You can appréciate 2 bathrooms in the house: second floor = one large bedroom + its bathroom, and first floor: one large bedroom and a smaller one + one bathroom. In addition a toilet outside, very convenient when the family is outside or at the swimmingpool. An hotel would have offered you one bathroom for each bedroom... Our house is not the standard hotel bedroom + standard bathroom. Different charm and environment indeed, and different choice. Most of our guests profit from their bikes in the parks of Loire Valley chateaux they visit: indeed, the cycling paths are 2 miles far from home, very close and appréciated, as explained by several of them in their appraisal. And they are so happy also to use the clean, large and heated swimmingpool after the visits, even if, from time to time a spider comes and say Hello !!! Best ! Marie-Noëlle

De superbes vacances en famille

Location idéalement située au cœur de la région des châteaux de la Loire où nous avons passé deux semaines formidables avec nos 3 enfants de 4, 8 et 9 ans. Gîte authentique, bien équipé et superbement rénové dans une très belle propriété entièrement sécurisée avec un joli parc arboré. Nos enfants se sont régalés de la piscine couverte et du trampoline. Accueil impeccable par les propriétaires qui nous ont gentillement conseillés pour les sorties sur Tours et sa région. La location est idéalement située pour les départs vers les itinéraires cyclables ou pour visiter les caves de Vouvray et environs.
