This beautiful, Charentais house has its own dedicated terrace and is set within a garden of established trees, an orchard filled with apple, pear, plum and cherry trees with a swimming pool.

The Pool is protected and heated by an Abri which maintains the temperature at 28 to 30 C. During very hot weather we remove the Abri and use a summer cover for easier access. Pre COVID the property was let as two Gites but we now let it as one thus allowing you exclusive use of the house,pool and grounds. We live on site in the converted barn but you can be assured that we keep a low profile during the letting period but are on hand to deal with any issues should they arise.

The property is ideally suited to a large family or can be shared with two families or close friends.

The Gite is situated in a peaceful hamlet, with a wealth of tourist sites, activities and attractions to suit the whole family, close by.

Less than a mile away you have two supermarkets, an organic butcher, a patisserie and two bars/restaurants.

The market town of Civray, with a 12th century Romanesque church, situated on the Charente river, is within walking/cycling distance from the house, holding markets twice weekly. Walking, cycling, Zip wires, tree top walks and canoeing are all within a short distance plus a plethora of unspoilt, historic villages/towns to explore.

We have now added en-suite facilities to the two upper floor bedrooms and double glazed all the windows which have built in fly screens.
