Located in the historical centre, less than 10 mnutes walk to the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery and Santa Croce this is an ideal base for young people enjoying the bustling of the city. The neighborhood is famous for its daily food market that is partly indoor where on the first floor you will find an array of eating places for a great gourmet experience. The flea market in Piazza Ciompi is on your doorstep and draws visitors from all over the city. There is plenty of choice for coffee bars and restaurants to try within walking distance.

The rental is exactly as it appears in the photos...clean, modern and with everything we needed for our stay. Gabriel was super helpful checking us in, answering all of our questions and providing some great recommendations for our time in Florence. I would definitely stay here again...thanks!

We had a marvelous stay. The property was just as advertised, and we appreciated the pristine modern bathroom and kitchen. It was so centrally located, in a vibrant area with lots of cafes and restaurants around, with museums and sights all within walking distance. My only complaint would be that the windows could be double-glazed as the street below can be quite noisy at night, and perhaps fluffier pillows and a slightly softer mattress. The wifi was quite spotty, too. But all in all, we were really happy, the hosts were super easy to communicate with, and Gabriel, who looked after us on behalf of the owners, was so helpful, with the absolute best tips for getting around as well as where to get the best paninis. I'm usually quite reluctant to rent apartments vs hotels when traveling because reality usually doesn't match the photos, but this apartment was just what we were looking for. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Well located, safe and comfortable apartment

We are two mature women traveling together and stayed 7 nights in Florence in Laura and Davide's apartment. We loved our stay there. It is located within walking distance of all the best attractions in Florence. There is a supermarket a few steps away and many fine restaurants. It's on a small piazza where musicians played daily during the daytime. The apartment was tastefully decorated, clean and had all the amenities destined in the listing. Check in was very well done. The man thoroughly explained everything including had us practice opening the front door (very different from door locks in bvb the USA). Communication with Kaura and Davide was very easy with prompt responses. Overall a wonderful stay in Florence. I would stay in the same place if we ever visit again. Linda

Great locations and fantastic place.

This is a fantastic place to stay while in Florence, close proximity to everything you want to see and great communication with the owners. The check in process was very easy and there were many suggestions for activities provided. I would definitely stay here again!

Great property in the center of Florence!

Laura and David's apartment looks exactly like the pictures! It is modern and well-kept, and centrally located to many of the main attractions, where we walked to on foot. We stood in the apartment during the hottest week in Florence (106 degrees!), and were grateful to have great air conditioning and a place to relax! Laura and Gabriel, her associate, were super helpful in recommending places to go and organizing a taxi back to the train station. They made our travel easy and stress free! If you're staying in Florence, choose to stay here!

If you love to cook a few meals during your stay, this apartment has a very functional kitchen and well-stocked with cooking and serving utensils. There is a full grocery store close by. Location is great with numerous eating places next door or across street. Easy walk to all tourist sites.

Beautiful unit - very nice owners - Great location!

Our stay was wonderful. The unit was perfect - very comfortable, kitchen was great (we did not cook), nice bathroom, everything was new. Definitely would stay again. Lots of restaurants around and easy walk to the Duomo. The bedrooms were very comfortable- 2 very nice size rooms with king size beds. For Florence in general, please keep in mind it is a very noisy city - every surface is hard and all sound will echo no matter where you stay so you do hear a lot of street noise which can range from people talking to a violin playing to a scooter driving by. Unit is in the second floor so you will have to climb steps. Great stay and thanks again to Laura and Michele.

Great place to stay in Florence

The apartment was very comfortable, clean and equipped with everything we could possibly want. It is located away from the tourist hot-spots and yet within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see. The local farmers' market is excellent and there are many restaurants serving great, reasonably-priced food. We especially liked one a couple of doors away from the apartment with great pasta and pizza dishes. Also we really appreciated the warm welcome from Gabriel, who explained everything fully, made excellent suggestions and went to the trouble of booking a taxi for our return to the station. The only slight drawback was it could get quite noisy at night but this wasn't particularly a problem for us.

Perfect Place, Perfect Location!

We are a (Dutch) family with two girls (9 and 12) and we spend 5 perfect days and night in the apartment. Looking at the other reviews, I can only conclude that they are true and fully correct. Frist of all, the beds: PERFECT. Spacious and comfortable. Not only the master bedroom but also the second room where the kids were sleeping. The apartment is clean, spacious and in perfect conditions. Just look at the pictures, what you see is what you get. And maybe the best part is the neighborhood! Full of history (don't forget to take a look inside the Saint Ambrogious church on the square: it's one of the oldest in town) and a lively environment. I think that’s what we liked most. Being within walking distance from all the monuments and museums (even Sa M Novella train station is 20 min walk) but far away from the crowds and and tour guides with groups of 30-40 people. In the direct neighborhood of the apartment you see young Italian people drinking a glass of wine, young kids eating ice Cream and local people doing their day to day shopping at the food market (or in the Carrefour Express that is located are around 150 mtr). And there are many nice places to eat in the street around the apartment. Some of our favorites for lunch or diner: Aquacotta (family run Tuscan style restaurant), Cesarino, bar pasticceria La Loggia (for breakfast), il Pizzaiuolo (almost next door) and Natalino. And in the city center, pick up a sandwich at il due Fratellini (best in town, very friendly, fresh and great variety in sandwiches). And don’t forget the famous Tripperia (Sergio Pollini Lampredotto) in the Via de Macci: you should try it at least once! The last tip: book your tickets for museums in advance on the internet if you want to visit one. We did, easy and fast. Otherwise you might and up in a cue of two hours waiting. Just be careful you book on the official sight in order not to pay to much! Some time left, do a day trip by train to Pisa (1 hour) or visit Bologna (35 minutes by high speed train, beautiful city, hardly any tourist). Again, train tickets can be booked on the internet. The last positive words are for Dave and Laura. Very friendly, good and clear communication, quick responses and helpful and flexible with check-in and check out. Enjoy your stay in Florence. In this apartment, you make a very good start!

Comfortable, clean and in good location

In February my family spent few days in the Via de Macci apartment when visiting Florence. The apartment is in a good location with many restaurants in the close proximity. It is also very well equipped. You can hardly feel that you need anything more above what is already there. It has nice finishing and decoration. Laura and David are very nice and helpful owners. Not only that I have been in very good contact with them through all the reservation process and on the day of our arrival, but also they did the reservation in the very nice restaurant for us where we had the perfect dinner. Overall it was a very nice time for my family to stay in this apartment, although the noise from the life of the street and the local shops was probably some kind of disadvantage to them. But, it all depends what you like: the total silence or the sounds of the local area you have come to see and enjoy. Cezary

October 2016 stay in Florence

The apartment was fabulous - spacious, clean, wonderfully decorated, with all possible amenities included. Beds were awesome. Location was great. I greatly appreciate Laura being willing to meet us when we arrived so late in the evening. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Florence and would not think of staying anywhere else if we ever have the chance to visit Florence again.

Perfect stay in Florence!!!

We have very nice stay in this wonderful apartment. Apartment are fully equipped , there are everything what you need. Air-condition in all rooms! With this hot weather in the summer you very need it. Very spacey , on photos are not seems that apartment so big. We was in two. But there are enough space to stay also 4 persons. Spotless clean, space bedrooms, nice view on the street. You don't need a car because there are walk distance for everything . Near a lot of small shops , restaurants and supermarket. Wonderful location! You can not find location better. Thank you Laura and Serena for our great stay in Florence.

Fantastic!

The property was wonderful. A great location - easy walking distance to all the sights but outside of the tourist hustle and bustle. So many good restaurants and great spots for wine, cocktails and snacks. It is a lively neighborhood with everything you could hope for. Florence was our favourite stop in Italy, and this apartment helped to make it so! Lovely decor, very clean, spacious with big comfy beds. It will easily accommodate a family with a well appointed kitchen.

We live in the outskirts of the city with the family but just a phone call away in case of need. Our English is not fluent but manage well if you speak slowly. My assistants will reply to your email requests in English. I enjoy greeting guests on arrival and hope to have the pleasure in meeting you as well!

Why they chose this property

We rent 2 apartments in the historical centre:
1) One bedroom apartment for up to 4 guests in Via della Vigna Nuova
2) Two bedroom apartment for up to 4 guests in Via dé Macci near Santa Croce

Both apartments have been in the family for centuries. We moved away from the centre for practical reasons and decided to restore the apartments for rental in 2014.

The locations are excellent for exploring. We carry out regular maintenance and very fussy for cleaning so feel comfortable when booking our apartments.
These areas are excellent to walk to any sight in central Florence. A public laundry (the apartment only has a washing machine - no dryer) is 5 minutes walk.

What makes this property unique
