My husband and I stayed for the month of January. The house had all the comforts of being at home while still providing the cozy vacation feel!!Thank you Alicia
Met with family and owner and her family welcome us during Easter weekend and allowed my family to join her family and play with their children and toys like the blow up jump and slide. We had a wonderful time that gave us precious memories. Thank you Paul and Beverly Kunkel
Neighborhood very quiet and peaceful. It was convenient that the owner has a private boat ramp for to use. If you take a boat; you may want to inquire about the ramp, because it is in need of some repair, so if you're planning to launch a large boat, it may take some finesse to do so. However for my and my brothers bass boats the ramp was sufficient.
It was such a peaceful experience. The cottage was so cute and perfect for the 2 of us. The owners were very accommodating and were extremely helpful for anything that was needed. They are very kind people which made our stay more pleasant knowing we were dealing with great people.
We really enjoyed our stay on the lake. The weather was perfect as well as the water. 4 adults stayed in the cottage rental. We spent a lot of time on the deck and dock. We used the grill twice which was awesome, although the bottom of the grill required cleaning prior to using. The cottage was missing several kitchen items because we cooked all our own meals, but the owner provided all requested utensils quite promptly. The cottage itself was a little small to spend time together except at the kitchen table. I would recommend storing the deck cushions in a dry container so that they stay clean and avoid molding from rain and dew. We enjoyed having the large raft, kayaks, canoe, and outdoor seating.
Completely satisfied with this lake front house. Good location in a quiet cove. Excellent host ,very attentive to our needs. Would definitely stay there again.
Great little cottage for a couples or small family getaway. Quiet, serene and the fall foliage was breathtaking. Alicia was very kind and accommodating!
Cottage was just as advertised. Quiet, clean, convenient, and a perfect place to spend 4 days. Recommend to anyone and would stay again when we revisit NC.
The cottage was cute and cozy. Says it sleeps 6 which it would, but there isn't room for 6 people to be in the common area/kitchen together. It was fine for just the 2 of us. The doors were hard to lock. The bathroom is small (as it also holds the washer and dryer). There wasn't any counter space to put bathroom supplies (not a big deal just an inconvenience). The view of the lake is very nice and very quiet. Very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay on the lake.
Great time as usual when this group gets together and this was a great place to have it. Second year in a row at this location, the water was great, kept the boat right with us the whole time. Can't wait til next year!!!
We felt welcomed and the cottage was the perfect size for 3 with each of us having our own bed in a separate space. It is dog friendly with a nice size lot. It does need a little work and the shower is dangerous if you have someone handicapped (we did).
Loved staying here during our family get together, had everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable we checked the brand of mattress. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
We were thrilled to find a nice quiet spot on the lake. The cottage is clean and cozy, met our needs. This property does allow pets, which we were so grateful for as our pup was able to travel with us. She enjoyed the lake too!
My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. It is on a very quiet part of the lake, with lots of birds, turtles, and other wildlife. I really appreciated being able to take out the Kayak to enjoy the lake. Great place if you are looking to get away from the noise and bustle of the city.
House was great for my husband and I.
Even though 3 bedrooms very small not much room to move around. No real living area TV is in Kitchen. Loft area was nice. No real place to store anything. It worked for us but I can’t imagine more than 2 people staying. But very quiet and well maintained area around is beautiful.

About the host
Hosted by Alicia Graham
Both of us grew up near the water -- He lived most of his life on coast of Georgetown and Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, whereas I grew up in the tropical islands of the Philippines. After retiring from a busy IT career, I am rekindling my passion for resort/property management by sharing our waterfront family compound on Lake Norman to visiting guests and their families in the area.
Why they chose this property
We found this 'piece of paradise' as a quick getaway place from the hustle and bustle of work life 17 years ago. Not one moment of regret. The peace and tranquility refreshes our souls after a hard day's work.
Why not share this special place with everyone else?
