Bring your boat, jet ski, kayaks or canoes to enjoy the lake. Small slide going into the water which the kids love.

Great place for long or short term stays! Hosts are lovely, respect privacy but also make you feel at home. Would absolutely stay again, I imagine it’s brilliant in the summer. The neighbors cat, Baxter, is also very friendly! Thanks Frank and Linda!

Absolutely fabulous place to stay that was perfect for us. Enough space to spread out inside with even more outside along with a beautiful view day and night. Communication was great. Already planning a return to Charlotte next year and this is where we plan to stay.

Although the house was clean, right on the lake, the size we needed and the host was very responsive, there were some issues. Unfortunately, the queen beds were very uncomfortable, we had to supply our own toilet paper and paper towels once what was provided ram out and there was a lot of banging and stomping from upstairs since this is a basement unit with the owners living upstairs. The bed in the master bedroom was so soft it felt like we were sleeping on a water bed which left our backs in a lot of pain and my cousin slept on the floor most nights because the our queen bed was so uncomfortable. I did not want to give a 3 star review due to the fact that we were running late checking out and the host family completed the check out process for us but we were in so much pain we couldn't move fast enough to check out on time. With that being said, if you have back issues please be mindful of the softness of the 2 queen beds.

We were so impressed with this property! Tucked away in a quiet little cove, it offered the perfect mix of relaxation and fun. The swimming dock was great for fishing or just sitting and enjoying the view, and while we didn’t have time to use it, the fire pit by the beach and the covered pavilion on the dock were nice added touches. Inside, the home was clean, comfortable, and just right for our family to unwind. A highlight was the friendly property cat who greeted us each morning! We’ll definitely be checking this property’s availability for future trips to the area.

Born and Raised on Long Island, NY. Always had a passion for the Water. Navy Veteran. Raised my family on a Water-Front home on Long Island that I personally built. Followed my son to North Carolina where we found and built this unique property. I live with my wife in the upper portion of this beautiful log home and enjoy renting out to guests our lower level. My grandchildren who are 7 and 4 often visit on the weekends. The lower level is totally separated with its own parking, entrance and lighted drive.

Why they chose this property

I vacationed on Lake Norman for two summers and just knew I had to live here. I found this magnificent property in Sherrills Ford as an open lot. Me and my son developed and built my second dream house, A Log House.

What makes this property unique

Sherrills Ford has a top notch school district which is important for my extended Family. Excellent swimming, boating, jet skiing, fishing and outdoor living.
