Situated in an enviable position at the edge of Salthouse village with stunning views across to the dunes and sea, Fridays Barn provides very spacious and comfortable accommodation for two. Boasting countryside views to the rear, this hideaway beautifully combines rural and coastal living.
The semi-detached barn has extremely bright and spacious family accommodation with the lovely open-plan kitchen/ dining room being the heart of the house. Tastefully decorated with a large dining table seating eight and a two seater sofa, it's the ideal place for a gathering after a busy day out exploring the Norfolk coast. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen using the best of produce sourced locally, before retiring to the delightful sitting room with cosy open fire, comfy sofas and television with Amazon Firestick. If you don't feel like cooking, venture out to the nearby Dun Cow for some great pub food or Cookies Crab Shop for seafood delights. Or simply take out some fish and chips from Mac's Plaice, a local chip stall.
With a downstairs bedroom, bathroom and shower room, it is ideal for those with limited mobility, and there are a further three bedrooms upstairs. The entire ground floor boasts lovely open views to the coast, great for birdwatching, plus the rear of the property has a completely enclosed garden (great for the children). A lawned area features a patio with garden furniture, and a barbecue, meaning you can enjoy al fresco dining on warmer evenings.
With the beach only a 10 minute walk away and the local pub and shop also within walking distance, you may want to stay put. If you feel like venturing out, take the Coasthopper Bus right from Salthouse, and explore the many other coastal villages and beaches in either direction. And for wildlife enthusiasts make sure to visit the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre just down the road at Cley Marshes.
Fridays Barn is also available as a low occupancy sleeps two listing, with all first floor rooms closed off - Fridays Barn (2).

This was our second time at Fridays barn and it didn’t disappoint. In fact we have booked to stay again later in the year. A dream of a house, spotlessly clean and the perfect place for exploring the local area with an abundance of wildlife just over the road.

Fabulous family break
Friday’s barn gave us everything we needed for an extended family beak. Salthouse is a great base for exploring the North Norfolk coast. The children loved the garden which was secure and the house was full of toys and puzzles to keep them occupied. The property was immaculate and comfortable with everything we needed and more. We loved our stay and look forward to next time.

Excellent property ideally situated
The property was perfectly located for our family holiday - only about 300 yds across the marsh to the beach at Salthouse. Being on the coast road, it was also easy to reach everywhere else along the North Norfolk coast
Fridays Barn was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our two grandchildren loved the fabulous selection of toys and DVDs

A beautiful house a short walk to the beach and the pub in a secluded Nolfolk village
This is at least the third year we have returned to Friday's Barn and look forward to booking in again as soon as possible. There's a warm family feel to the place. It's beautifully laid out and recently renovated. The views from the windows are classic Norfolk scenes - the light, the big sky, the salt marsh, sea, birds and cattle. There's everything you need, plenty of space, a great kitchen and sitting room, loads of hot water, two bathrooms, bulletproof floors and stacks of games. You can walk to the beach, the excellent Dun Cow pub, the Church, the village shop and the Coasthopper bus stop. Peace and quiet, family and friends together, fresh air and windy walks. Heaven.

A superb week in a gorgeous property
A fantastic week in a lovely cottage.
An extended family gathering was made all the more enjoyable by staying in this spacious and well equipped property. The open fire was very welcome on a few of the cooler evenings. Cosy and so comfortable.
An ideal location to explore north Norfolk. It has so much to offer along its very distinctive coastline ......walks, great food, fab beaches, steam railway, endless historic churches to visit, bird reserves and of course seals!

Every aspect of Fridays Barn was good to excellent.
Our whole holiday was very good indeed , the position of Fridays Barn right opposite the road down to the beach, the local amenities were also only a short walk away which is always very useful and also the sun shone if not all day most of every day that we were on holiday. So three cheers for Fridays Barn and Salthouse . Thank you.

An ideal location for a family holiday
We were very fortunate to have really good weather for our week's stay at Friday's Barn but the family agreed that this was the best accommodation we had ever hired for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The requirements of the family had been well catered for from our 18 month granddaughter to several septuagenarians. We made full use of the south facing enclosed garden (including the barbeque) and the games, toys and books in the barn available for the guests to use. The property had been decorated to a very high standard with plenty of seating, kitchen equipment, china and towels for use by the family. We particularly liked the book on the history of Salthouse which illustrated this starkly attractive area. It was also a good base to explore the coast and inland areas of North Norfolk. An ideal location. Thanks

Lovely barn conversion with views that made washing up a pleasure. Quality restoration.
Very comfortable house with quality furnishings and bedding. Very well equipped. Sofas and beds were very comfortable. Great situation with uninterrupted views across the salt marsh to the beach from the kitchen and sitting room, and main bedroom (when standing up!). You could even get the view from the garden through the house windows. Road noise was not an issue, nor was the drive (about which some people have complained). Efficient hot water supply, and great airing cupboard for drying the rain soaked clothes! Village shop and the crab and lobster café/takeaway are only 5 minutes walk away and are both worth visiting for fresh supplies. The village pub, the Dun Cow was excellent for sunny lawn with views, excellent menu and very friendly and efficient service.

Cosy house in perfect Norfolk location
Lovely, stylish house with well equipped kitchen and outdoor dining area with uninterrupted view all the way to the sea. The village has a pub with great food, a crab and ice cream shack and a small shop for basic provisions and gifts. The house has been beautifully renovated. One of the bedrooms and both bathrooms are at ground level. Ideally for families.

Winter Break
We stayed at Friday's Barn for our New Year's Eve celebrations and were very impressed with the lovely decor. It was spotlessly clean and the Christmas tree and outside lights was an added bonus. An excellent location with lots of toys and books to please our granddaughter. Would have liked the heating and hot water when taking a bath to be a little warmer but it was in the midst of winter. We would love to return in the summer months.
