Please reach out for the dates you are interested in prior to booking to ensure your dates are available. So, contact / message us first before booking to ensure the dates you want!
For all confirmed bookings, we provide a detailed document regarding the cottage, the area and PEI. In this document we detail restaurants, areas of interest, activities near by and more. All intended to assist you with your vacation planning.
The closest cottage (short walk) to the famous Cabot Beach Provincial Park, with on duty lifeguards and amenities that come with a provincial park/beach, there is no charge to access the provincial park and beach area.
Licensed and inspected annually through PEI department of Tourism. The cottage is situated on over 2 acres so you have lots of room and privacy, no crowded cottage country here. The cottage has green space on all four sides, and is very quiet and private. If there is such a thing as a million dollar view this is it. All new furnishings (no hand me downs). Relaxing island feel. Amazing ocean and beach views from the 46 foot wide deck and the large screened in room. Price under market value "for now" to get exposure.
Cottage Overview: new cottage on the ocean! The cottage has been tastefully designed with modern conveniences while maintaining the island feel. Nearest cottage (short walk) to the famous Cabot Beach Provincial Park (no charge to access). Three bedrooms (King, queen and single over double bunk beds). Sleeps 6 very comfortably, all with brand new comfy pillow top mattresses. Two full bathrooms (shower in one, bath & shower in other), full size washer and dryer, modern kitchen with stainless steel (F, S, DW and MW). Additional outside shower which is great for rinsing off from the beach. Amazing ocean and beach views from the 46 foot wide deck. As a bonus the cottage contains an attached large screened in room to enjoy a cool beverage, play some board games, and enjoy the beach and ocean views. This cottage is also equipped with a heat pump to provide both heat and air conditioning. This cottage is priced under market value "for now" to get exposure.
Cottage View: You will have amazing views of the sand dunes, Cabot Provincial beach, Malpeque harbor and the open ocean. You can view the fishing and lobster boats leave and return to the Malpeque wharf or just stare at the ocean surf. The cottage has been situated to take maximum advantage of the amazing unobstructed ocean views, the stunning sunrises and sunsets. You will have over an acre of land surrounded by sprawling farm fields, PEI lupins, nature and ocean. There is plenty of room to stroll, explore, kayak, bird watch (blue herons frequent the area), bicycle, beachcomb, dig for clams and of course relax!
Cabot Beach: You would be staying at one of the closest cottages to Cabot Beach Provincial Park or just “Cabot” as the locals call it. Cabot is one of the most beautiful provincial parks and beaches in PEI, heck one of the nicest area in all of Canada. The 360-acre Cabot Beach Provincial Park is the largest park in western PEI. You will find that Cabot Provincial park and beach to be much less busy then many of the other island beaches. Your cottage is a short walk (500 meters) or drive if you prefer, to Cabot Beach. The provincial park as you would expect is free of charge to use and is equipped with great facilities including; showers, fabulous playgrounds, excellent walking trails (along the forest and oceans edge), onsite lifeguards, and did we mention the spectacular beaches? The beach, sand bars and ocean are great for building sand castles, exploring, cooling off, long leisurely beach walks and of course relaxing. At Cabot Park you will find Malpeque Bay Kayak Tours (open 7 days a week) which rents Kayaks, Paddleboards and Bicycles and offers guided Kayak tours as well.
Malpeque Wharf: Nearby the cottage (300 meters) is the Malpeque wharf which is located at the entrance to the Cabot Beach Provincial Park. The Malpeque wharf is home to a fresh seafood market, an excellent seafood restaurant and deep sea fishing. The restaurant is the “Malpeque Oyster Barn” (the mussels, oysters and strawberry shortcake are highly recommended, the rest are fantastic, but these are spectacular, note seasonal dates for when open). Also at the Wharf is deep sea fishing via “Dales Deep Sea Adventures”.
Close By: You are close to the town of Kensington (10 minute drive) for any addition amenities (groceries, restaurants, liquor store, drug store, gas stations, banks, TIMS and much more). We highly recommend Mary’s Bake Shoppe and the Frosty Treat dairy bar in Kensington, both are must try locations!!! If you are up for a little scare the haunted Mansion in Kensington is lots of fun !!! In and around Kensington there are a number of quality restaurants including; "The Island Stone Pub", and many more.
Note: Cottage bookings in July and August are weekly, from Saturday to Saturday (shorter rentals may be considered at an additional cost). Check out is Saturday at 10 am and Check in is Saturday at 4 pm. We are unable to accommodate late checkouts as this time is required for our scheduled cleanings.
