Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

The view was fine. We didn’t use the pool. We had a water leak issue under the master bathroom sink that was not addressed even a message was sent along with a picture. No one contacted us or repaired the leak. The condo wasn’t really clean, acceptable but dirty baseboards, vents and not enough wall plugs. The master bedroom and bathroom plugs need to be replaced, only one plug in the bedroom closest to the closet worked. Needs updating and repairs done. We will not stay again.

Great resort with a wonderful view

The property has everything you need. Beautiful beach, 3 pools, covered parking, and a Cafe. Our view of the beach was fantastic. We had a unit on the side so I was concerned that we might not be able to hear the waves but we could and we had a city view also which was a bonus. Beds are very comfortable, living room furniture not so much, it should be replaced with something more comfortable and substantial.

The view is absolutely beautiful. We did have a few issues with some things. When contacting management they worked with us. There are some things that could use maintenance and updating. Overall it was a great place to stay.

Great unit

We spent a week here and loved it. The resort is located close to everything, the pools are just perfect and the beach is great. Only con I have is that they don’t allow canopies on the beach. We had a hard time keeping the 2 yo and 4 yo playing under a the umbrellas in the heat of day

Adequate Unit-Excellent Location

The unit was good enough... stayed in better, stayed in worse. Would like to see more careful attention to cleaning. Nothing major, but things that would not fly in a Hampton Inn, or the like. The location is great, though. Makes up for the few little things that bothered us with the room. Would stay here, again.

The place was just as shown.

The master bed was the best bed I ever slept in. Great water pressure in the shower. You need a sharp knife, had a hard time cutting an apple. Love keyless enterance. It would be nice to have a table to eat outside. Couldn’t get into the ocean due to algae bloom not owners fault, need chairs to set on instead paying $36 a day. I’m trying to figure what the savings was. I would stay here again.

Enjoyed the beautiful view of the Gulf and the great sunrises. Condo was clean, but needed some tender loving care. Couch was very uncomfortable. Refrigerator door opened up every time you opened the feeezer door, so you had to manually close the door again. Bed was great. Would be nice to have a list of the tv stations there. Overall we had a great time.

We would definitely stay here again in this particular condo. Not one bad issue I can think of. We had a great time relaxing and enjoyed the entire complex. We did not take advantage of the pool or hot tub, we had a whole ocean right there! But it look very nice. We did grill out on the gas grills, which was so nice not to have to get charcoal. We felt very safe here too. Absolutely loved it. The Panhandle team was awesome too. answered all of your questions, easy to get in touch with, no issues checking in or out. Thanks to both the owners and to Panhandle Team!

Beach stay

The condo is in a great beach location and nice views. However, upon arrival we noticed the freezer ice maker was not working. I sent 2 emails and talked to 2 people from management company but received no response and issued was not resolved. The tiki bar by the beach and the cafe in the building closed the week before our arrival with no notification. Several other items in unit needs repairing. It is a lovely location and beautiful beach area and close to great restaurants. Very comfortable beds.

Good experience

The property is beautiful and quiet I love this place, but But you need to focus more on cleaning the beds. The bed in the master bedroom had blood on the blankets. It's very disgusting to pay too much money and find something like that. It's very unpleasant.

Needs improvement

The condo has a beautiful view of the ocean with a balcony to sit on from both living room and master bedroom which was nice. It needs some updating/ deep cleaning (paint walls, baseboards, new sofa) the toilet in the hall bath makes an awful noise after flushing and the seat itself needs to be replaced. The refrigerator smelled terrible when we arrived. Some TLC could make this place great!

The experience was great. We honestly treat any place as if it was our own.. so loading the dishwasher and piling towels is normal for us. After I had left I saw the comment that I should take out all trash and strip the beds, it was a little late for that AND that’s not part of any hotel/resort stay... So if I get charged for not stripping bedding or taking out every piece of trash (we took out the kitchen) I’ll be contacting them......

Clean facility but not great room

The Pelican is a nice clean facility, but this room isn’t that great. The furniture needs updated in the living room, the last shower needs redone and is horrible, and there is no clothes storage in the second bedroom. They neglect to tell you that there’s no way to sit at the waters edge for any lengthy time, unless you rent chairs and umbrella from them. There are four rows of chairs, but 3.5 of them have been rented out 6 months in advance. The people who own condos there are mostly rude too. The view was nice, the pools were nice. The cafe was decent but over priced. The tiki bar was nice and convenient. The beach was clean, and the water was perfect. Overall this was a good stay but not great. I would recommend our room, and likely won’t go back.

Family Beach Trip

We just got back from our beach trip and overall it was great. The condo and the rooms were great. The beds were super comfortable and the check in process was easy! The only issue was the beach access. The absolute worst part is that the Pelican Beach Resort requires you to rent their chairs on the beach. If you do not & you bring your own chairs you have to put them in the very back. We even rented chairs and were on the FIFTH row away from the beach. You couldn't see the beach. You were RIGHT on top of the people next to you... That was the worst part. I usually never leave the beach until dark but I couldn't stay past 3 every day due to having no room and no view and people on top of me. The condo/room itsself is great. The pizza at the Tiki bar was SO good.
