Location was good. Disappointed that there was no coffee pod machine, no smart tvs and service and picture was not good. Decor very antiquated and beds were not comfortable. Sorry, but we expected more from the picture and review. Area was close to town.
We enjoyed this home for a family getaway. The deck was amazing - we had some incredible sunny warm days in March to sit outside. Beds were comfy and the space felt homey!
House is cozy, enjoying the hot rub & peacefulness of the surroundings. Location is great. Everything you need is in the home, other than fighting the off track closet doors, our stay was nice.
This is our third time staying in the highlands and each time we have stayed here. It is an amazing location with plenty of privacy, yet close to fantastic dinner spots. Garrard is a very communicative host. Already looking forward to our next stay!
Worst VRBO home I have ever rented. First of all, promoted as a three bedroom and the "third" bedroom is merely a single bed in a hallway. Property is poorly managed, with dirty linens, barbecue not working, coffee maker broken, handle falling off refrigerator, skimpy supplies for a three week stay, burns on ceiling, mold in bath, stains on the carpet. Owner was totally unresponsive to any requests for his 608 "owners" fee and being advertised a a "Premier Host". Stay away, regardless of the so-called 10/10 "ratings".
The cabin was perfect for me and my dog! We both had a fantastic time in the mountains. The cabin was very clean and we loved the deck with peaceful sounds of running water. We can't wait to come back!
We love staying in this house. It was our third year staying here and we feel like it is a home away from home. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Lovely mountain home. We so enjoyed the hot tub.., very clean. The beds were all comfy, and the updated kitchen was spacious. Lightning could use improvements in all rooms. We were very pleased with the close proximity to activities we were interested in.
Cozy, clean, nice and convenient. What more can I say? This lovely home with large deck is nestled amongst the trees. We enjoyed it very much and it’s a short, easy drive to Main Street.
This was our 2nd stay at this property. Nice house with lots of room. Short drive to Highlands. Will definitely reserve again.

I am a young professional who lives in Atlanta. I bought this property to have a weekend get a way place that was a short drive from Atlanta. I live in the Vinings area of Atlanta and can be at my Highlands place in two hours and 15 minutes door to door.
Why they chose this property
I bought my house in Highlands as an investment. The town of Highlands continues to grow and attract a sophisticated yet casual group of successful visitors and home owners. The Highlands community is very cordial and offers everything from live theater to antique shopping and other great retail stores. Highlands Main Street has been called the Worth Avenue of the mountains. Main Street offers everything from screw drivers to fine dining to estate jewelry and home accessories.
What makes this property unique
High Cotton Cottage offers many great benefits to enjoy during your stay. The cottage is located on a hill which over looks Buck Creek. You can hear the soothing sounds of the creek from my decks and many rooms of the house. The cottage is very cozy and has a stone fireplace with a gas starter. The hot tub on the rear of the house looks off into the woods for total relaxation and enjoyment. The cottage is located in a private neighborhood owned by a group of five families who are all friends.
