Casa Mariposa is an exclusive house in one of the best areas of Poniente Beach - often described as “Millionaire’s Benidorm.”

Casa Mariposa has a very large living room of over 70m square meters. There are 3 private bedroom suites, each with a private bathroom equipped with walk-in rainfall showers. You'll find fresh clean bedding and towels for your stay.

Your holiday is unique in that it has 2 outside dining areas, a refreshing plunge pool (note, not a full sized swimming pool), plenty of sun beds and 3 outside terraces, 2 overlooking the sea and Benidorm. The main terrace has a BBQ, the plunge pool, a covered dining area with a stone table and lots of space to relax and enjoy the Spanish sun. Of course, Casa Mariposa has parasols and sheltered areas should you need time out of the sun as well! To cool down you’ll have the pool plus a solar powered shower. The terrace is lit at night; perfect for a meal with family or friends.

The top sun-deck can be reached via stairs via the main outside terrace and via the Butterfly suite, the largest of the 3 bedroom suites. Here you can sunbathe in private in the sun or shield yourself from the midday rays under the electronically operated parasol. The sun deck also has another seating area with new garden furniture for 2022 - you might enjoy the sunset over the sea whilst drinking a few cocktails.

The elevated position of Casa Mariposa means the sea views are simply stunning. The sun rises over Benidorm town early in the morning and the entire bay is laid out for all guests to enjoy from the start of the day to the sunset and the lights of the town at night.

Benidorm is a large, busy resort, however, Casa Mariposa is very, very peaceful in the day and in the night. When you stay at Casa Mariposa, each night will be quiet. The villa benefits from no passing highways or traffic. The roads are the preserve of people who need to be in the area. If you need a quiet night’s sleep you’ll find it here. Each of the beds have super high quality mattresses and high quality bedding. Also, each bathroom is private. There is plenty of space in each bedroom for luggage, hanging space and draws for all your clothes.

Uniquely, Casa Mariposa has 2 very large living areas. The huge sofas mean you and everyone in your party can sit and socialise inside as well as outside. On the living room TV you can access Spanish TV, Netflix (all languages) Moviestar TV where you can even set the language to any one of many European languages. Of course there’s internet WiFi everywhere and it's superfast fibre. You can all log on and everyone will be able to access Facebook, streaming services like radio, tv and even work emails I’d you really need to ‘stay in touch’. The mobile phone or cell reception is great too, every major network can be picked everywhere in the house and outside.

The large, hand-made, modern kitchen includes brilliant black granite work tops, a large American fridge freezer (with filtered water-ice box awaiting repair) and every modern appliance including a dishwasher, multi-function microwave and a range of appliances such as coffee maker, hand blenders and much more. You’ll find matching pure white tableware, matching cutlery and useful things like; jugs, serving dishes… everything you need for dining in, everything you need for a party in your own holiday home. Of course, the outside gas fired bbq compliments the kitchen. Equipped with three burners, you could cook an entire meal for 10+ on it alone. You can choose to eat inside the house on the English oak crafted dining table or one of 2 outside dining tables. You’re spoilt for choice!

At each stage during refurbishment (because the house was originally meant for us to live there) we chose the best of everything; electric blinds on every window and door, air-conditioning throughout the villa, video entrance system, German engineered low energy lighting, a high speciation kitchen and expensive fittings like Italian stone tiles, oak stairs etc etc.

If you have particular requirements whilst you stay at Casa Mariposa, just ask. We can provide a cot, high chair, extra beds in the lower living area, private garaged parking and so on at a nominal cost. We will even consider accommodating a well behaved dog.

When designing the house, we included a large bedroom suite on the main floor to help people who may have mobility problems. The Garden Suite can be accessed straight from the living room, it even has an extra-wide door. The space around the bed makes it easier to access as does the bathroom with a floor-level walk-in shower. The living room is accessed by the main terrace which is at street level. This means anyone with walking difficulties will be extremely happy at Casa Mariposa.

NEW for 2022 : GYM and CINEMA ROOM

Casa Mariposa now has a small gym with a cross-trainer, exercise bike, a small set of weights, work out bench, rowing machine, gym balls and exercise matts.

In the same room is the Cinema with a 65 inch TV, sofas and even a suspended swinging chair! Our plan is to add a football table... watch this space.

SETTING

Benidorm offers everything you’d want on a holiday. Poniente beach has been judged one of the best in the whole world. It is cleaned every night and there are plenty of sunbeds and parasols.

Poniente beach is in front of Casa Mariposa. A short walk down the steps to the beach is cleaned daily, the water has a pleasant temperature and is also honoured each year with the blue flag for excellent water quality. We don’t supply beach chairs and umbrellas and so on but they can be rented out for a small charge on the beach.

While the opposite bay from Levante beach is known for dazzling nightlife with bars, clubs and discos, the Poniente beach is preferred by families and during the night you can rest without being disturbed by noise.

The house is on a quiet road where you can park your car. A private garage underneath the house and is available at an extra charge. This might not always be available. Please ask. Within walking distance, you find various shops and there is a nearby Mercadona Supermarket which has everything you’ll need. The fish counter is epic - fresh fish and seafood every day. There are also bakeries, pharmacies, magazines and tobacco shops and beach boutiques. You can reach weekly markets, large supermarkets and shopping centres by bus or car.

There are also bars and restaurants near the villa in walking distance. Also, you’ll find it easy to walk to La Cala Finestrat, another bay with a beach and loads of restaurants and bars.

The walk into the centre of Benidorm takes about 35 minutes. We often set out as the sun begins to set and stroll along the beach and end up with a few drinks in the Old Town. It is another 15 minutes to the New Town if you walk on. That said, there are regular busses which you catch by the nearby Gran Bali Hotel where you can also hail taxis.

You'll find Casa Mariposa perfect for many types of holidays. It is especially good for families or for groups of friends. However, if its the razzle dazzle of Benidorm you are looking for - you might want to rent a property on Levante Beach or in the new town. The house isn't really suitable for younger groups. Also, the stunning views means Casa Mariposa is higher up meaning there are quite a few steps to the beach.

POINTS TO BRING TO YOUR ATTENTION
The area where the house is situated has plenty of shops, nice bars and restaurants but it is not a party area. Walking to the Old Town is easy along the beach but the New Town is a little further. Of course, there are plenty of busses and taxis.

Our little pool is great to cool down in. It is only 1.5x3 metres and is 1 metre deep. It cannot be used as a swimming pool. We are seeking permission to build a bigger pool.

Casa Mariposa has spectacular views from its elevated position. You can see the main town of Benidorm to the left if you are looking out to sea. You can see the beach and the uninterrupted view is spectacular especially in the morning and as the sun sets. However, this means that there are a number of steps to the beach which may challenge some.

We seldom host same sex groups who seek a base - often for Hen and Stag parties. The position of Casa Mariposa means that party seeking groups may find it inconvenient.
