For context I'm the grandpa who organized this stay for me, my son and his wife, and their 2 kids age 4 and almost age 6. The house was perfect for us. One large bedroom with 2 queen beds for the parents and kids and a second for me made us all comfortable. The boys loved the fire pit out front, we saw wild turkeys walking down the road 2 mornings to their delight. There is a trail at the end of the road a few doors down that goes into the woods. Acadia National Park is next door and it is an amazing mix of sea and mountains and greenery. Bar Harbor is a short drive and has restaurants and shops for all. And we walked across to Bar Island at low tide! A thrilling vacation with a comfy place to return to at night. Also the kitchen is well appointed to make meals easy to prepare when the mood hit us. I would look forward to staying here again if the opportunity arises.

Amazing cottage, especially for the price. It was clean and well stocked with anything you could need. Also, it was in the perfect spot. A short drive from many hiking trails & less than 15 from downtown bar harbor.

We loved our time here. The beds were the comfiest. We looked forward to snuggling up in The cozy beds when we had a long day of hiking. Our host was quick to respond. Thank you for such a cozy stay in Acadia

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. It was perfectly located on the island, outside the bustle of Bar Harbor but just a 5 min drive from city center. We will definitely stay here again.

Location extremely convenient to everything we wanted to do, without being in crowded area. Cabins were very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Amanda, our host, was very prompt with communications before, during and after our stay.

Great Location / Great Property Manager

The house is in a great location between two great cities and some amazing hiking trails. The property manager also did an amazing job of making sure our stay went well - she even provided a crock pot when we asked for one. We would stay here again.

We stay at Otter Cove Cottage whenever we get the chance. Amanda is a great communicator and host. House is spotless. Location keeps you out of the craziness in Bar Harbor and an easy drive to all parts of the island.

Exceeded Expectations!

Great place and perfect location. It is a few minutes from Acadia and about 12 minutes to Bar Harbor - the best of both worlds. The house was extremely clean and if we ever come back, we would stay here again!

Everything You Could Ask For

The property had everything needed for a stay up in Acadia, from kitchen supplies to general household items. Location was also great to get to all the various areas of the Park and not deal with the busiest areas. Great overall stay!

Fantastic location with foot access to the Otter Cove and Quarry trails for walks with kids, scenic morning runs along the park loop road, wonderfully cozy cottage with fresh wildflowers, amazingly comfortable beds, and convenient on-site laundry! Highly recommended. Especially for families with young kids who want to stay close to trailheads.

Perfect house in fantastic location

15 minutes to *everything* you want out of Acadia at a fraction of the price of Bar Harbor. Wonderful hikes right from the front door. Would definitely stay here again

Wonderful cottage and Amanda is a great host. Everything you need. Great to be able to walk from there to Gorham and Ocean path. Very comfortable and nice amenities!
