Fall/Winter is SOOOO cozy at our cabin! 5* reviews and new updated flooring make our cabin the BEST choice for your relaxing vacation! All decorated for the Valentine's Day and winter!
If you're looking to be in a busy place surrounded by stores, restaurants, and people then this is NOT the place for you. If you're looking to enjoy nature, take a hike, have a cookout over a fire by the creek, roast marsh mellows, play some horseshoes, do some fishing in paddle boats, see fireflies, hummingbirds, deer, wild turkey, toes in the cool creek, pool time, hammock time, star gazing, NEW hot tub soaking, and family time then THIS is the place for you!! I built this cabin as a place to gather with family and friends, to reconnect with those you love, and to relax and find peace - I think you will find all that here. Tennis and pickleball court!!!! Official Holidays will require a 3 night's stay. Thanksgiving and Christmas will require a 4 or 5-night stay.. Weekends in the Summer will require a 3 night stay!
This beautiful custom built log home is located just outside of Boone in the gated community of Powder Horn Mountain in Deep Gap, NC. 'Heaven in the Hills' is a 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath cabin with the BEST view on the mountain! It offers 2 large decks, a screen porch, and a Hot Tub to sit outside and watch the ever-changing sky or the spectacular star show on a clear night. You may even see deer, wild turkey and plenty of other wildlife just outside your door! This home has Heat & Air conditioning, Gas Log Fireplace, a fully appointed Kitchen with Dishwasher, Microwave, and Flat Surface Stove, Outdoor Gas Grill, Washer/Dryer, 4 TV's with Satellite Receivers (my husband's idea!), and plenty of board games to play with the family! Pillow Top Mattresses and a Private Bath for each bedroom makes this the perfect place to share with friends and family. No worries - All bed linens and towels are provided.

My name is Terry and my husband, Jeff and I live in Wilmington, NC. I grew up in upstate New York but moved to Raleigh and then to Wilmington when I was younger. We first went to Powder Horn Mountain when our kids were about 7 and 10 and had the best family vacation we have ever had. We loved getting out in the woods, hikng, fishing, animal watching and just getting back to pure family time. We returned every summer and then had the opportunity to buy a lot and build our own dream cabin. How lucky and blessed we are!
We have tried to make this cabin a cozy retreat for all who come to find peace and re-connect with nature and your loved ones.

You can make your stay as busy or lazy as you wish! Tackle the trails on our mountain or sit back in the hammock and read a good book. Then after dinner a long soak in the hot tub with the stars shinning above is heavenly!
