This luxury 4-bedroom air-conditioned Chalet is located in The Hideout - a four star gated resort community less than two hours away from the tri-state area in the lake region of the Pocono Mountains.
This is probably the only house in the Hideout that has all following amenities: sauna, steam room, digital cable, Netflix and Amazon prime movies, telephone, laundry room, stainless steel appliances and full air-conditioning.
This home provides the ultimate setting for family and friends to enjoy their time together while making some great memories in the Poconos.
This beautiful home sleeps up to 10 people comfortably. The main living level has huge air-conditioned living room with fireplace and 58'' Flat HD TV. Living room is tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished. 2 Andersen French doors open to front deck. Corner-type sofa set in the living room converts to a comfortable king-size bed. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances for your convenience and includes all the necessities. The adjacent dining area comfortably seats 10.
The air conditioned master bedroom suite is complete with a king sized bed with night stands and 42' plasma HD television. There is an extra crib/toddler bed for a child available. There is also a second bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed. A full bathroom decorated with porcelain tiles with To-To lavatories is located directly across the hall. The air conditioned, oversized loft bedroom comprises the entire 3rd floor. It has king-size bed, a half- bathroom and a quiet reading area looking over the great room below. Also, there is convertible sofa-bed for 2 extra people located in the loft.
The lower level is a SPA level. Down here you will find a spacious air-conditioned recreational room with Sauna, Steam room and another full bath as well as extra bedroom with convertible sofa-bed for 2. Also, there is a LG washer & dryer, a recreational room and spacious garage on this level.
If you can't be without your laptop - bring it - this house has a high-speed wireless internet as well.
There is simply no house in Poconos like this one for this price !

Wonderful weekend

Very clean house, probably the only house in all of the poconos with a jacuzzi, steam room & sauna. The hideout is safe & full of amenities. Definitely would return to the same house...

Great Family Vacation Home

Roman was very accommodating and a pleasure to correspond with. The house itself if great for large groups. We had a total of 10 and everyone was comfortable. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be to convert the two rooms in the "basement" into bedrooms as well as it is underutilized space at this time. Additionally, I would recommend more televisions throughout the house (there are only 2 presently) as well as more seating in the living room. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely consider staying at the home again.

It was fine, definitely not luxury

The place was fine, but just not what was advertised. The listing said that it was luxury when in fact I would put it as pretty bare bones. One of the reasons I booked it was because it advertised having a hot tub, but when we got there the hot tub had no water in it and was filled with dirt and leaves and bugs, as was the bottom floor of the house. The bottom floor bedroom was unusable as a bedroom despite being advertised as one as that is where you come into the house from and it had tons of bugs and dirt, the 12 year old wouldn’t sleep there and I don’t blame him. The “mattresses” on all the beds were more the thickness of a futon or mattress pad and were very uncomfortable, and I couldn’t find sheets that fit on the one bed even after looking in all the rooms. The shower wasn’t obvious on how to use it and there were no instructions, I had to call the guy for help, and he told me it was a standard one and to just pull up, but there was nothing to pull up. I had to describe it to him and then he was like, oh yeah, that one is different. The neighborhood it was in was the other reason I booked the place, it advertised having mini golf and all kinds of stuff. The mini golf was the worst thing I have ever seen, not even worth the $3 or whatever the cost was to use it. The kids were so disappointed. I was just expecting more based on the listing overall than this place ended up being.

Firstly Roman is a good host, readily available to answer any and every question. I had a great weekend at this property. The house is spacious, very clean and in a great location. This property description was exactly what we got with the amenities. I would recommend to friends and also rent this property again.

Simply NOT the best AT ALL!!!!

We decided to take our family, including my elderly parents who are in their 80's, on a beautiful, family getaway. This was certainly NOT the case! Matthew, your 2020 review was spot on and the condition has not changed! The mattresses were like futons and there were only 3 bedrooms, not four. The house itself was absolutely filthy! We spent the majority of the time killing spiders and several other types of insects, as well as cleaning cobwebs / nests out of the AC units. The hot tub is broke and filled with green algae and candy wrappers. The back enclosed patio is filthy and has not been cleaned in a VERY long time, if ever. The master bathroom on the main floor that is supposed to be for the 2 bedrooms has a broken shower that does not work at all. My elderly parents had to walk to the basement each morning to shower since that was the only shower that worked in the house. The washer worked some of the time. The toaster doesn't work correctly. The couch is a joke, as you can only seat about 4 people. (Also broken). We found Pringle cans, candy wrappers, soda bottles and trash under the beds and in the closets. Finding the right sheet sizes was a nightmare and we had to wash them before using them due to the unkept cleanliness of the house. The basement bathroom was disgusting! The dirt is actually so thick underneath the door that you can barely open and close it. The basement smells like mildew so we didn't spend much time in the "spa" area. We have been to several places, but none ever like this one. We wouldn't be back even if we were offered a free week. The only good thing I can say about this was that Roman was available when contacted. However, Roman's integrity is questionable.

Home at the Hideout

The property was definitely a home away from home. The owner thought of everything. There was a beautiful sauna and a clean , modern and comfortable home with working wifi I must add. A fantastic experience. We will definitely come back next year for our annual family getaway.

Great Place!

This place was absolutely wonderful and Roman the owner was a delight to work with. He was very responsive and easy to contact from the minute I made the reservation even while he was on vacation in the Caribbean! I was hesitant to rent from the one bad review from Matthew H. However I can assure you that is a FALSE review!!! Thank you Roman! We’ll definitely be back!

Simply NOT "the best"

This is by far the worst VRBO experience I have ever had. First of all, the house was very dirty when we arrived. The bathrooms and kitchen were filthy – toilets with mold, dirty towels and glasses in the bathrooms, fridge was disgusting. We actually cleaned all the shelves and took out all of the drawers of the refrigerator to clean up the liquid and who knows what was pooling in the fridge. Pans were so old and dirty and gross that we didn’t feel safe cooking with them. All of the beds in the house are futons, not actual mattresses with box springs. It took us over 30 minutes to figure out which sheets fit which bed from the mess of them in the closet. No organization whatsoever to it and random clothes and a diaper found in between sheets. The hot tub is completely broken with no water in it. The air conditioning in the master bedroom was broken. The shower head is taped on with masking tape. The regular cable didn’t work, although we did have access to Netflix, Prime and a bunch of Russian TV stations. The screens on the back porch are broken. The grills are both tiny portable ones, and neither one had a grate that fit it so pretty much useless. I also wouldn’t recommend it for more than 6 people as there are only three real bedrooms and the kitchen table only fits 6. The owner needs to pay a lot more attention to this property. Only stay here if you just need a place to crash and don’t care about cleanliness, comfort or cooking anything.

Great MLK Weekend

Roman was great to work with and very easy to reach. He made sure we were informed of all the amenities available and what was around us. The house was exactly as advertised with plenty of space for everyone. The sauna and steam room were just what we needed after a day of snowboarding. Kitchen was well stocked with seasonings, utensils and pots/pans. TV had a lot of channels, perfect for NFL Divisional weekend. My only suggestion would be to add more living room furniture or to update the older couches. We enjoyed our stay overall! Thanks again Roman!

Spacious and Great for large families

This home was spacious we were a family of 12 and we fit comfortably. The sauna and steam room was everyone's favorite. I must say the only thing I would add is some décor to the home it was a bit empty for my liking. The beds were not of my liking either as I woke up with back pains everyday but to some of the people who went with me they felt the beds were fine. As mentioned it was spacious and gave room for family games and a great Thanksgiving dinner. My son and nephew loved the backyard playground and I would recommend to others looking to spend time with a large group but still have some privacy.

Sensational MLK Weekend !

The homeowner is easy to work with - and is very responsive. He is definitely interested in making sure you have a pleasant stay. The house is clean, cozy and perfect for larger groups. The community has lots of activities. I would definitely stay here again!

Best Poetry Retreat Ever!

So this house was clean, beautiful, updated and homey. It wasn't too big, it was just perfect for a bunch of poets to get together and write. I would recommend it. The owner was gracious and checked in on us via phone upon arrival. I would say it was magical, magical place.

Very Relaxing. Great Service!

Great house! Lots of room for 11 of us. The Hot Tub was not working when we arrived and Romans helper was very adiment about getting it fixed for us. By day 2 we were relaxing and a freshly fixed and cleaned hot tub. The house seems very suitable for winter having every heat sourse imaginable. The Hideout is a pretty high class community. The only complaint is water heater inconsistancy. It was not terrible and it worked most of the time. I would highly reccomend this house for anyone. I feel like we got our moneys worth.

Great Home!!

Wow! We had a wondeful time at The Hideout. The home is fabulous. Spacious rooms, tastefully decorated, private yard, lots of activities to do. 5 minutes down the street there is a stable for horseback riding, 45 minutes away there is a great place to hike a see 8 fabulous waterfalls! The owner of this home was very helpful with all of my questions before we arrived and after. There was a great selection of WII games and the netflicks came in handy. It would have been nice to have a pool table, or air hockey table just to add that extra something for entertainment. Also the pool really is not as close to the home as I thought. Overall I would highly reccomend his spacious home to anyone looking for a nice relaxing vacation! We look foward to visiting again!!!

Great home for a fantastic family vacation

This beautiful home was even better than expected! Located in a more open/not-as-wooded portion of The Hideout with gorgous views of the evening sky, this very well maintained home is packed with upscale finishes and in-home amenities. No need to feel like you're "roughing-it" in this chalet. The house was in great condition when we arrived. Sleeping areas on all three levels gave everyone in our multi-generational group (ages 8 mos to 64 years old) plenty of space and privacy. The beds were very comfortable and having bed linens and plenty of bath-towels included in the rental made packing for our trip even easier. The Hideout was wonderfully relaxing. The staff at the Security/Check-in office, the beach, the lodge and the Indoor Sports Complex were all exceptionally courteous and helpful. (Hint, if you're looking for an interesting place to exercise, ask the staff at the Sports Complex for a map of the walking trail -- it's well maintained, mostly shaded and its varied terrain make for a good nature-walk or run) In addition to all the the Hideout offers, this home is a destination unto itself. The home is fully air conditioned with individual controls/zones for each room ensuring that everyone was comfortable. Two flat-panel TV's, DVD players and a fully equipped kitchen complete the package -- making meals for 9 people was a snap. And don't miss the spa in the fully-finished lower level. While we didn't use the sauna or steam-shower during our stay, we did relax in the outdoor hot-tub on the back patio every day. And the home's back-yard swing set was a HUGE hit with the 3- and 4-year olds in our party. Roman, the owner, was great. He took the time to answer all of my questions before our rental (and I had A LOT of them) and called twice during our stay (once at the beginning and once at the end) to make sure all was OK. Before our arrival, Roman also provided details for check-in/check-out, instructions on using various equipment/appliances in the home and additional contact info in case we needed him during our stay. Fortunately, everything worked perfectly. After our stay, our security deposit was promptly returned with no hassles. Overall this home is top-notch and without hesitation, I would highly recommend it to friends or family members. Would love to stay here again.

Great Experience

Great house, great community. We enjoyed our stay very much. One day of the weekend was a wash with heavy rains, but the kids enjoyed staying indoors, with movies and Wii. Equally entertaining options for grown ups. Spacious rooms, nice furniture. Exceptionally good kitchen. Roman was very friendly and provided good service. We would love to visit the property again.

Fabulous Vacation Home away from home!

Fabulous property located in a gated community in the breathtaking Pocono Mountains. The house was exactly as stated in the advertisement and had everything and more so that our time there was comfortable and fun. The spa on the first level is amazing and the hot tub out back was great. This chalet has it all! We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Great time in Lake Ariel

We certainly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the amenities of the house. The location is remote but were able to ski 2 different mountains while we stayed in Lake Ariel. We would return back for another visit!
