We LOVED this home! It is so unique and is built and maintained with attention to detail, and really brings the outdoor Sedona vibe into the home. Totally recommend staying here!
Wires hanging, cracked windows and mirrors, broken WiFi, electrical tripped multiple times, leaking sink, dirty cabinets and drawers, and 0 communication from host despite MANY attempts. Horrible experience.

Sedona House
Unfortunately it as not positive. The property was not cleaned including some dirty sheets left in the laundry room and dirty dishes left in the sink. One of the bathroom sinks clogged after the first use and remained clogged throughout our stay. It started raining and there was a significant leak in the kitchen. Once the rain started and the ceiling started leaking we decided we’d had enough and found other accommodations. We attempted to discuss these issues with the owner but have received no response. We can confirm the property was not cleaned because the cleaners showed up the day after arrival and confirmed they had not cleaned. We have stayed at many properties before and this was very disappointing.

Schizophrenic Construction
The property was a disappointment. It is an amalgam of solid brick construction and slipshod DIY add-ons. There is no functional air conditioning. The electrical outlets are scarce and a jumble of extension cords are responsible for providing power to many areas. If you make the mistake of renting here just make sure that everyone has a flashlight with them at all times. The chance of finding a lightswitch that works is low, and when you finally do find one, it will usually work for a light in a different room. The stove and oven are circa 1990, the washer and dryer seem to be of similar vintage. The blinds throughout the house are minimum 20 years old and hanging on by a thread. Very little in the form or function of the house makes logical sense. In its current iteration, the property seems structurally schizophrenic and is not worth half of what they charge for it.

Scott, thanks for sharing that feedback. The owner of this property has asked us to pass along the following thoughts:
- The house is very unique and older, but it is just as pictured in our online listing, so all guests can decide if it's the right place for them to book.
- The stove oven is vintage and original, adding to the charm of the home. This is also pictured online for guests to see when deciding to book.
- The majority of the blinds have been replaced and the owners are in the process of replacing just a few more.
Thank you again for the feedback!

Disappointed
We liked the location for its proximity to trails and shopping. Very unique feel. Great landscaping.
We had 10 people staying in the home. More specifically, 5 couples. Some observations. In the main house, only 1 bedroom with a door. That bedroom sleeps 4 of the 10. Upstairs, the bedroom area has no door so if there are conversations or noise from the kitchen, dining or sitting areas, you can hear it all. And if lights are on, there is light everywhere.
On the main floor, for everyone to be together the only option is the dining room table. There are two sitting areas upstairs but neither big enough for 10. Private space over the garage is for two people. Very cute. (No hot water).
Poor lighting in general. Lights over kitchen sink/work area don’t work. General lighting in house is insufficient, but mostly hard in the kitchen. The kitchen is not user friendly. Work space is limited. 2 people max.
As much as we loved the landscaping, since we had 10 people we had two large vehicles. Very hard to navigate driveways and garage because of narrow drives and steep landscape.
Honestly, we had a blast with our family in Sedona but want to share some considerations for your trip.

Michele, we're glad you enjoyed this home's prime location, but we're sorry certain aspects fell short of your expectations. Our listings are carefully built to reflect our properties in an accurate light, and we clearly note on the listing description that this house offers lots of open space, and is a loft style, so guests can anticipate what to expect. The photos depict this layout and feel as well. We also mention in the listing policies and in the email sent to guests prior to arrival that there is no hot water in the private space above the garage due to a small water tank. We do our best to communicate this to guests to they have an idea of what to expect prior to arrival. The homeowners are in the process of changing the heater. This unique and beautiful home has hosted numerous satisfied guests and we look forward to this property continuing to do so! Best, the Evolve Team
We rented this property to use as a base for fall break in Sedona. We are a family of 5, including 3 independent age kids. We had ample room for sleep, and the property had all of the essentials for our needs. Definitely the most unique home we have rented to date! I would advise against unless you are nimble of foot and have good eyesight, as there are many spots to stumble inside and out. We had a great time, nonetheless, and our getaway in Sedona was unforgettable.
Every angle the views were amazing! The house description perfectly identified the "quirks" so read carefully so you know what to expect. The quirks were not barriers and did not create a poor experience. Close to downtown, trails and food! Great property!
We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home in Sedona! The stonework, the flagstone floors, the unique layout, the beautiful grounds and the amazing views all made our stay one to remember. The kindness and communication with the owner made our stay so comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
We enjoyed staying in this beautiful home! Super close to everything you’d want to do in Sedona, yet peaceful enough you may not want to leave the house! Would stay here again. Owners are very nice, accommodating and easy to communicate with.
Such a beautiful property. The house was truly like a piece of art. Plenty of room for lots of people. Not that many large seating areas though. Great views from the house. Garage is big enough for one large car, or tightly packed two small cars. The loft up there is perfect for a little privacy. The main house does not have much privacy at all. Very open to everything. The grass had some rough spots and around the pond was not the best, but still gorgeous.
The property is definitely not as big as it looks in pictures. The driveway is EXTREMELY steep with terrible clearance. If you have a custom/lowered car, you’re out of luck.
Overall, gorgeous place.
I just stayed here for a retreat I hosted. It did not disappoint at all. It was such a magical stay and everything was perfect. I cannot wait to book this place again and again.
We loved staying at this home! So beautiful and well maintained. So many beautiful spots in the home to enjoy the gorgeous nature all around us. The host answered questions quickly and process was easy. It was very close to all the fun places in Sedona. Beds were really comfortable so we all slept pretty great. The only challenge was two very large spiders came into the cottage and frightened 2 of us. We were able to remove them, but there was more than enough space they decided to sleep in the main house instead. Overall would so choose to stay here again!

The house and the property were beautiful and unique.
Our family had a lovely stay in this truly unique home. It was a perfect location for access to hiking, restaurants, shopping, and the heart of Sedona all with amazing views. The house was well equipped with everything we could have needed. The only issue we had was the shower in the room above the garage was child size and had no hot water. Previous reviews stated there was limited hot water but there was none at all. The shower in the main house was used instead. The extra room is a nice touch but the main house is the shining star. The house has so much character and every room had special unique touches. The grounds were beautiful as well. We made great memories and would highly recommend this home. We would 100% stay here again.

Unique and fun place for a special getaway!
Our group had a great time in such a fun and interesting home!
We loved: the character and quirkiness of the property, comfortable beds/pillows/blankets, location, and friendliness of the owners. Bright and cheerful and natural feel. Kitchen was fun. So many fascinating details within the house!
Small warnings: Agree its best for mobile adults and not so much kids. We were comfy all six of us, but the only two restrooms are ones you must walk through bedrooms to use. Social areas are somewhat fractured with eating/kitchen area separated from lounge between spiral staircase. Downstairs shower water tends to cover entire bathroom floor. Driveway at a little steep of an angle if you have a smaller car (and don't forget to always have a gate opener/closer volunteer!) Garage loft shower not equipped with hot water.
Overall a pleasant experience we'd recommend!

Super unique
The home was beautiful! So unique to anything I've ever stayed in before. There was a few things I would expect with this price. Maybe more amenities. Like water bottles and dry creamer for coffee. Also a list of things to do would be fun! The beds were super comfy! We enjoyed our stay!

Unique house for a group of 8-9 people
Very comfortable home, convenient location and gorgeous views! Our first impression was that the house was old, but once we settled in, we didn’t feel it with the comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and spacious layout.
Wish the living room would have been downstairs (as one person in the group had a hard time going up the spiral staircase), and it hadn’t snowed while we were there (as access to the carriage house became very icy/slippery at night).

Great location. The layout of the house is somewhat funky, spiral staircase to the living area!
Guest room over garage was overly warm! Showers in all rooms are mediocre at best. Missed the extras such as shampoo and conditioner.
