This wonderful Fredericksburg style frame home was built in 1904, and is special both inside and out. The Victorian cottage exudes charm with original long leaf pine floors, beautiful woodwork, transoms over doors, high ceilings, spacious bedrooms, and a bright country kitchen. A front porch with comfy seating encourages those early morning visits while enjoying coffee and pastries. Enter into a lovely foyer, which leads you to two inviting bedrooms, a comfy living room, spacious dining room and fully equipped kitchen.

Two bedrooms each have queen beds attractively topped with period style bed coverings. There is a bath located between the two bedrooms with tub and shower. A variety of bath products are available for guest's enjoyment during your stay.

The kitchen is truly a delight! Fully equipped for you... this kitchen will truly entice you for those special meals. An antique dining table easily seats four people in the ample dining room. Enjoy watching your favorite show or bring your favorite movie in the comfy living room. A large sofa and two comfy armchairs are placed to watch the TV/DVD.

Your stay will surely require a relaxing visit or quiet moment outside in the lovely, spacious yard and patio. The patio has comfortable seating. Other special features include an old Basse block smokehouse (currently used by your hosts), a potting shed at the end of the driveway and the feel of being in the country on this tree shaded lot.

*Please be aware that the home does have exterior cameras at both the front and rear doors for security purposes.*

- Observe the City of Fredericksburg Quiet Hours (10pm to 7am in residential zones). No music of any kind after 10 pm.
- The City of Fredericksburg is a Dark Sky Community with outdoor lighting restrictions. All outdoor lighting is encouraged to be turned off when no one is present to use the light.
- Observe the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces.
- Place all trash in designated containers.

The place was great. The house was very similar to the house that I grew up in as a kid. The shops were very close, but not within walking distance. Only had one fault which the lights in the bathroom where the sink was, had very bad lighting for shaving. Everything else was wonderful. Thank you all.

The Antique Rose is a lovely house. The furnishings are very comfortable. The kitchen had teas and coffee and even thought we didn't cook it was very well equipped with everything anyone would need. I would most definitely stay here again.

Wonderful weekend at the lovely Antique Rose

We love going to Fredericksburg and staying at the Antique Rose. It makes us have that comforting feeling of visiting Grandma. We enjoy the porch swing and listening for our favorite bird calls. It's a very relaxing place and is affordable. We love walking north on Cherry Street and seeing the deer and livestock as well as walking through the surrounding neighborhood with all the charming houses.

Great weekend retreat

Great house perfect place for a weekend get away. Kitchen is well equipped and the rooms were cozy. The front porch was great. The only negative was the location. It is just off Main Street which was great, but it was a little to close with all of the traffic. No issues while you are in the house, but the traffic noise spoiled being able to really enjoy the wonderful porch

5 Absolutely LOVED it!

Super comfy home for our first ever Mother-Daughter weekend and first ever trip to Fredericksburg! If I had one negative, the notebook said there was a wine bottle on bar and breakfast fixings in the fridge, and we didn't get either of those!

Great Weekend!

The house was lovely. The chain lock on the bedroom door was stuck. Also, the patio and yard were not well kept. I suggest having someone manage the leaves and look after the yard.

In the largest bedroom the ceiling fan did not work. The umbrella for the outdoor table was not installed during our stay. Needed a measuring spoon but there was not one. The tv remote was not working properly. One would believe that for the expensive nightly rate everything would work.
