We stayed just 1 night while in town for the Marine Corps half & honestly it was not enough! Will book again & spend more time on this beautiful, quaint & peaceful property.
The property was lovely, and the Post Office was a perfect place to relax. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, and the location is quiet and peaceful. This was our first stay, but it won’t be our last.
Wish I could have stayed longer, but boy did I need that one night of relaxation! I enjoyed the huge bathtub and plush bathrobe, and my dog felt very welcomed and comfortable too on his designated pet blankie. The whole place is clean and oh so charming, and innkeepers are on site (elsewhere on the huge property) to add to your feeling of safety and convenience. I would love to come back and sleep in the adorable loft again and delve into the rich history of the site.
We were looking for an overnight getaway for our anniversary, and we discovered this gem. From the moment we walked in the door, everything about our stay was picture perfect. The fire burning in the fireplace was so cozy and the delicious breakfast that was delivered the next morning exceeded our expectations! Well done, Stevenson Ridge!
We arrived on a Thursday evening, enjoyed a nice meal by the fire and slept so peacefully. Friday was a trip out and about for breakfast and the rest of the day rocking on the front porch with some books and tea and another quiet night. We thoroughly enjoyed a mini break from our kids, work and other responsibilities. I highly recommend!
Kirsten is the best! She's friendly and gets back to you quickly! Made sure I had a good stay. Jon was amazing taking care of a wasp that came in and Otto loved him. We definitely will be back! Housekeeping is wonderful, thanks for loaning me a vacuum and taking my trash! No complaints.

THis was the perfect one night getaway from DC. A beautiful cabin on a beautiful property.
So many lovely things about this cabin and the property. Great location, well kept, good service, pet friendly, good communication throughout the booking process. Two small details that could be improved: I paid for the romance package (which looked beautiful in the cabin) and up until my arrival, thought it came with a bottle of wine. I even discussed what kind of wine, but then upon arrival, was told that was included in the upscale romance package. I believe for the price I originally paid, I should have received a bottle of wine. Secondly, I requested no dairy in the breakfast basket. I confirmed this once during booking and once at check in. However butter and milk were used to make the French toast served and caused my wife to get sick. I had hoped the bread would have been baked in just an egg wash. Those were small details in comparison to all the amazing attributes to this property. We will for sure be coming back!

Hello Ann,
I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us here at Stevenson Ridge! We take pride in our service and take food allergies extremely serious. We have two highly qualified Chefs who strive to provide the best for our guests. I spoke with our Sous Chef in regards to your breakfast and he explained that he was very cautious and no dairy products were used in the making of your french toasts. The only dairy products that were individually wrapped and placed on the side of your breakfast basket were butter balls. The French toasts were indeed cooked with only an egg wash. I apologized for any inconvenience your wife may have experienced during her stay with us. We look forward to hosting you, your wife and your beautiful furry friend in the near future!
Thanks,

The post office was so charming, comfortable and well-appointed, and, bonus (and surprise to us since we didn’t book directly with Stevenson Ridge) part of a larger collection of historic homes and cabins in a walkable setting of woods, rolling grassy expanses and a pond with a fountain. So lovely. And our dog was thrilled to explore and run after his tennis ball, too. They even left a special bowl, treats, poop bags and blanket for him ♥️
Cute place. Quiet. Clean however… most of the lamps are broken and the sofa really needs to be changed out. It’s worn out. No deal breakers though. When in town we would certainly stay again.
Enjoyed our stay. Property was closer to other cabins than I thought but it was still very peaceful. The only complaint would be the sofa was uncomfortable and had a slight musty odor. No linens were supplied for the sofa bed-only a mattress cover but it was still worth the trip!
Everything...from the home to the delivered in a basket breakfast was absolutely wonderful! I would recommend this place over and over! Will be back without a doubt!
We needed a break from the hassles, the Post Office was perfect! From the moment we walked into the cabin, we felt peace. The aroma of the fireplace was soothing, and the setting was idyllic. We loved it so much we made a reservation for our upcoming anniversary!
This property was amazing. The fireplace was exactly what the Doctor ordered after a hectic Christmas season. We toasted our feet and read. The setting was idyllic. THank you!!!
