We are a family of 5. Have three young children who love this house. Our holidays here are always memorable. Full of historic walks, hikes in the countryside, tourism, games, history, love, and fun. Enjoy our home. Quito is a magnificent city. Spend some days discovering it.

Why they chose this property

We are in love with Ecuador. It is a unique country with diverse languages and cultures. There are so many things to do that its a perfect destination for tourism. We love this house, its location, its feel, its people, everything about it. When we started restoring the house we had no idea how long and difficult it would be. The house used to belong to an Ecuadorian poet, you can find some of his poetry books around the libraries of the house. It has that, a sense of magic realism.

What makes this property unique

You won't find a similar property in the country. We wanted something that would give us the ability to live the centre of Quito and immerse in the culture of Ecuador. The restoration project took many years, and we feel proud to have done it. Many architects and designers were involved and it showcases the best of Ecuador's art and design (everything you see was done in the country). The house sits in the colonial center but avoids the very heavy traffic that is associated with it.

The colonial center of Quito is unique. It is the largest one in latin america and its churches, museums, streets, cafes, people are worth discovering. If you come to Ecuador, do spend a few days in Quito. You won't be disappointed by it.
