Comfortably fitted and well designed cottage set in beautiful countryside. Great to be alongside a working homestead, with horses and woodworking onsite. George and Debs are charming hosts - interested and and interesting, while respecting privacy. All in all, a very enjoyable few days. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a really lovely relaxing couple of days in this very comfortable and spacious property. We were made very welcome by the owners and would highly recommend it for a quiet getaway.
The cottage was cosy and a delight to spend the week in. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and reading and relaxing and watching life go by. It was the perfect location to unwind and relax after a busy year.
We felt right at home and loved seeing the Peacock and hens and cat and Coco the terrier walking around to say hello to us.
It was a great location as we discovered it was only a short drive to Otane, Waipawa and Waipukura when we needed supplies. The coffee and lunch at Nola's were great as well as the Paper Mulberry Cafe. Yet we often spent a few days of our long week stay at the cottage because it to was too relaxing to leave and felt like a home away from home.
We both slept well - the bed was super comfy and we loved cooking in the kitchen.
Debs and George made us feel welcome from the messages before our arrival and meeting them.

Idyllic country retreat
We have thoroughly enjoyed this week, with super friendly hosts; a lovely warm wood burner with plenty of wood and such a sense of spaciousness, this wee treasure is one we’d love to visit again.
Even in April with the cooler temperatures we were able to sit outside on the two decks. The massive bedroom felt luxurious as did the comfy leather furniture and big handcrafted dining table and chairs. The roomy and well equipped kitchen also contributed to us feeling like we were at home. We really enjoyed wandering around seeing the horses, little fox terrier and gathering walnuts. George even took the time to show us around the old homestead and workshop. Such beautiful handcrafted furniture and interesting history. Thank you for your kindness towards us and our visiting parents/family. We highly recommend a stay in this beautiful place.
