About this property

Private retreat on historic Queen Anne Hill

Private upper floor 1 bed/den apartment from outside stairs from our home. Cozy 950 square ft. space on an historic landmark street. Top of hill Home. 2 LEVEL blocks to 50+ restaurants, bars, retail, grocers. Decorated with curated art, a cook’s kitchen, den with daybed, laundry, & expansive view balcony. Vaulted ceilings/sunny rooms. Lux Brooklinen sheets. New Casper Hybrid bed. Fast WiFi (300+Mbps), Samsung TV/Bose sound bar; Apple, Hulu, Netflix free, Northwest travel library! 1 block to 2 buses. Free parking.
The space
This is our sole property, where we personally focus on your stay, not so on many investment properties. While many local VRBOs are basement spaces with people living directly above you and with limited daylight/ceiling height...here you have our quiet and huge view TOP floor! Reminder, there are stairs! Important NOTE: As we live below and the apartment is NOT child proofed, has an outdoor balcony… it is NOT suitable for children younger than 12 years old.

Private, spacious, quiet, welcoming. Full of art and designer furnishings. Fast WiFi,(300+Mbps). A 4K HD TV with Bose sound bar, featuring 100’s of HD channels including Max, Netflix, Hulu…even foreign language channels. A TV remote you simply speak to find your favorite show! Your place, cool even on the hottest days with professionally installed air conditioning. Overall, a VERY COOL SPACE.
Guest access
It is all yours! A private exterior stairs takes you to your top floor apartment. Keyless door lock makes check in/out safe and easy. No keys to worry about. Arrive/depart on your schedule. No need to check in with the host! On street parking for free without overnight restrictions, not so in most central Seattle neighborhoods. (Belltown is metered parking 8am to 8pm. Park in Capitol Hill overnight and expect a $75 ticket on that rental car for a non resident vehicle.) All guests find available parking within the surrounding block of our apartment, many within view of their stay.

Other things to note
The price listed reflects one or two person occupancy. We do have a comfortable daybed in a separate den for a third person for a charge of $25 additional per night.

If current guest scheduling allows... we will entertain early check ins/outs for a charge of $15 to $75 per event. 3 hour early check in/out for $15... or if needed (overnight flight?), an early morning check in or evening check out for $50/ $75. Understanding, we will have to change our availability schedule for the very early morning /late evening changes.

We recently purchased two electric bikes. Steve offers an hour plus guided tour of Queen for $25 a bike. It involves an easy ride through the neighborhood discovering the best of the Hill and womderful outlooks from all directions. We have helmets to borrow also. Lastly, for everyone’s safety there one exterior camera at the approach to the VRBO.

About the host

Hosted by Steve and Jocelyn

Host profile image
Pilates and cycling instructor in my latest incarnation after years flying the Western US as a regional marketing director for a national shopping center corporation. My husband sells real estate. We love to travel, the profile pic is us in Spain! We make it a priority to explore all the cultures and backroads we can find. No kids; lots of cool nieces and nephews. One cat, Lulu. A major passion has been the complete restoration of our 1918 bungalow on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, including the upstairs apartment. NOTE: The apartment is NOT child proof, has an outdoor balcony and with us below..no toddlers please.

Why they chose this property

Ask our previous guests! We have Over 250 reviews with a 5 rating from another two short term rental platforms. They loved our attention to detail and design, providing a unique urban Seattle travel setting.

A spacious secluded apartment, just blocks from dozens of fun restaurants, groceries and retail. (some folks explore the Hill contentedly for days!) Centrally located in the City, minutes to Downtown and other hip neighborhoods. Free parking too.

In the home; art throughout, media consistent with savvy Seattle (internet speeds over 300, multiple streaming services on High Def television) Great coffee waiting for you. Fresh flowers in the fully stocked kitchen.

A boutique hotel set in a Craftsman bungalow.
