I loved this place I needed to get away and have some time alone. This place was just what I needed. The fire pit outside was perfect and the stove inside was perfect on a cool fall evening.

June visit

The cabin was just as described. It was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the water. We also saw lots of wildlife. Overall, we had a very relaxing get away.

Relax / Relax / Relax!!!

My husband and I scheduled a weekend getaway for our anniversary! We were so incredibly happy to be remote in this beautiful secluded cabin! We enjoyed being able to wake up the the steady stream! Very relaxing! We didn’t use much of the house, as we went out to the sweet town of Monterey for dinner and cooked breakfast and lunch on our blackstone outside by the stream. Would highly recommend to anyone interested! Where we came from, it was a super easy drive (and I hate to drive in the mountains lol)! Not very much to do if the weather is bad- thankfully we had perfect weather and spent most of our time outside! You’ll be glad you booked your stay here!

Perfect little cabin for a perfect weekend getaway. Tucked away by a creek with a fire pit and a wrap-around porch. Everything was super clean and the vibes were amazing. We had a wonderful time.

The Cabin of Serenity

A wonderful little cabin to get away from the busy world and seek some peace and quiet. Getting in tune with nature and distressing your self from everything to be more centered in life. A great get away with the family.

Amazing stream-side getaway!

Spacious stream-side cabin in the woods with bountiful amenities. Wonderful wraparound porch that is only steps away from a mountain stream and large fireside gathering area. The cabin offers a very cozy atmosphere and is well stocked for a lengthy stay. The A/C and gas fireplace really make this place a year round destination. We’ll most definitely be back!

Our second visit to this cabin was just as great as our first. Location is perfect for fly fishing a variety of rivers and small streams. Porch is perfect for reading and napping. We highly recommend.

Quiet getaway

The place was as described, a quiet rustic cabin with all the amenities needed. The lockbox may need to be changed, did have trouble getting it opened, but finally got in. Will return! If you are looking to disconnect and enjoy nature, this is the place!

A little "peace" of heaven!

No, that's not a typo in the title . . . it was so peaceful! Normally, rainy days don't add up to a good vacation . . . but this location is the exception . . . the sound of rain on the metal roof and the rushing creek, awww, heaven! We did have a couple of days to get out & explore . . . loved Sugar Tree Country Store, Falling Spring Falls, downtown Monterey, & more! The cabin has a rustic feeling and is absolutely awesome . . . well stocked, super comfy beds, amazing shower, the covered porch facing the creek . . . just wished we would have had a chance to enjoy the firepit & more of the outdoor amenities, but we don't have any control over the weather! Will definitely stay here again!

Trout fishing trip with my sons

The Cabin was easy to find. It’s literally feet from the trout stream. Yes we caught a few trout. It was clean and spacious. Perfect for our Father and sons trip. Miles and miles of open land and mountains to explore just up the road from the George Washington National Forest. A beautiful place!

Loved creek sounds of nature

I've been to many different vacation rental homes, The Clearwater cabin is one of top 5 on my list.Our family stayed 3nights and 4days in cabin was very relaxing and comfortable feeling of my home. This house is well maintained my husband knows because of his job. House is very clean and no bugs at all. We just loved sitting at porch drinking coffee and hearing nature was so healing. Creek water is so clear catching crayfish was fun. Great for kids and adult as well.We loved firepit burning woods and watching stars at night. I highly recommend this property for getaway and relax.

Beautiful, serene property. The cabin is rustic, and comfortable. Easy and prompt communication with the owner. The arrival instructions are thorough and accurate. We had no issues but I can see where those who don't follow the instructions COMPLETELY could have a problem finding it.

The property was even more beautiful than the pictures show and the creek out back was beyond soothing. You can sit on the porch in very comfortable seating and hear the rushing water. This cabin had anything you needed right there at your fingertips. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the double shower was great. Communication with host was great and we look forward to staying there again as well as recommend it to our friends who just need a getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and the weather was beautiful the entire time which added to us being able to enjoy the outdoors.

I agree with the other reviewers- this place is outstanding. I would love to return to see it in all four seasons! We loved sitting on the porch and watching the creek roll by during a thunderstorm. The two bedrooms downstairs are lovely, and I also found the futon very comfortable to sleep on.

The cabin was RUSTIC but very good.. The only disappointment we had was the BBQ- it was not usable and in bad shape. Besides that, the fire pit was fun, the beds comfortable, the cabin was well stocked and the stream next to the cabin was just beautiful…

Awesome Cabin

The cabin was very comfy. It lacks for nothing. It also is very private and secluded despite being somewhat near the road. The river has fences across it at the property lines enduring that you have it to yourself. The ride into McDowell is a bit twisty, but worth the effort.
