LOVED staying here! The cabin was clean and comfortable! It felt like home away from home. The area is beautiful, not too far away from necessities but far enough to get some peace and quiet. Check in and out was so easy. Would definitely recommend to anyone and also book again!

Loved the country vibe

Loved the cottage, it has every thing you would need. We really enjoyed the fresh eggs that were left for us when we arrived. We liked that we were in the country but in reality we were close to everything, even hiking, fishing and Nashville ...we will be back

Great place to stay

We stayed for 3 nights. Everything was as described. Nice touches with fresh eggs in the fridge upon arrival and Goo Goo clusters which are a sweet treat local to Nashville. We look forward to a future stay.

Cozy and Peaceful

Lovely 5-night stay. Great location for touring Nashville, swimming and hiking. We especially enjoyed the quiet mornings looking at the horses, cows, chickens and fountain. Will definitely return :)

Wonderful Honeymoon Cottage

From the fresh eggs in the fridge to the turtles sunning by the pond, the overall environment of the cottage was so charming for the last part of our honeymoon adventures. I loved the whirlpool and the kitchen was very well suited to cook dinner! We will definitely come back when we visit again, easily 30-40 from the Nashville hot spots. Would recommend to any couple looking to stay outside the Nashville area!

Absolutely delightful!

My husband and I stayed here when my son was graduating from MTSU. Everything was perfect! And it was such a wonderful get-away from the city (and yet an easy drive to the city). I loved the front porch, the farm-fresh eggs, the comfortable bedding and the hot shower! And the check-in/out process couldn't be easier. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Magnolia Cottage - a Home Away From Home!

Magnolia Cottage was fantastic! It really is a Home Away From Home! We give it 5 stars! Relaxing, peaceful, and also has everything you need! The fresh eggs in the fridge were an added bonus. Pleasantly surprised at the tranquility.

After about a week of researching I decided on this little gem. Upon my arrival I was very happy I took the time to find this. The cottage felt like it was in the middle of the woods, very relaxing sitting on the porch. There were trees all around the house, a nice little waterfall in the back and a nice view of the pond in the front. A shopping mall was a few miles away and has everything you need. Great restaurants and stores. I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Cottage

With so many plusses to mention, I'll try to hit the highlights. The entire property is well maintained with many subtle accents (eg. the resident Canadian Geese). The cottage is everything we needed for a romantic, quiet retreat. The decor is country chique in its furnishings and high-tech in its amenities. The bed is luxurious, the jacuzzi is immaculate, and the heating system is top rate (we were there in 30° weather). I hope to be able to spend more time there in the summer.

Amazing place. This is our second time here. Clean and cozy. Close enough to Nashville to enjoy the sites but far enough away from Nashville to enjoy quite country life. I would recommend to anyone. The owner even provides you with fresh farm eggs from their chickens. If you are coming to Nashville tjis is the place to stay. 10 Stars!!!!!!!

Nice overall but.....

We mostly enjoyed our stay, a few things that could have been better or more accurate.... there was no wood available for fire pit as stated. Would have been really nice had the long grass been cut. Back deck needs updating or atleast a power wash. Probably would have been nice if host would have reached out to us atleast once to see if we needed anything or had any questions.

A Peaceful Getaway

We arrived and the cabin was immaculate. Very clean and cozy. Complimentary eggs were left in the fridge for our enjoyment. This was not the biggest space that we could have gotten, but one of the best in regards to location and scenery. I would return for another stay.

Gordon got into vacation rental properties years ago while visiting friends in Hawaii. He was so enamored with the islands that he purchased a property out there with his good friend Bonnie.
Despite loving the seaside vacation rental in Hawaii but found that family and the country were calling his name.
With retired parents, Gordon decided to look for a larger property that could function as a business and provide a nice retirement for his parents. So, he purchased this serene, rural Tennessee cabin business from the original owners Nate and Rhonda Powell in the spring of 2018.
The original owners poured their love into this property which had been in their family for 5 generations.
The goal of Rockhaven is to provide an experience away from your home that you'll return to year after year.

Why they chose this property

This old family farm has seen 5 generations enjoy this beautiful land. In 2001, Nate & Rhonda designed and built the first rental, 'The Magnolia Cottage.'

With much success, another rental 'Uncle Pete's Cabin' was added into the fold. The log portion of this cabin was actually built by Nate's Uncle Pete during the Civil War era.

In 2008, the Calico Cottage was added. It was a studio (efficiency) rental that adds a second bedroom/bath for two couples traveling together who want private sleeping quarters. Lots of couples like to rent the Calico as their private little rental on it's own.

Right now, Calico Cottage is being used full time, but we have both the Magnolia Cottage and Uncle Pete's listed here, be sure to check them out!

What makes this property unique

Private, quiet and peaceful property. The rentals are 'one of a kind' very unique & custom designed, built by the owners. These cozy getaways were created especially for couples. Rest & Relaxation, Pastoral Views, Security Gate, Warm & Welcoming Hosts. At Rockhaven, you will have total privacy, your own parking area, front porches and rocking chairs, swings and outside gas grills, a deck with seating for two. You'll also experience the tranquility of a beautiful pond with a fountain and sitting areas, you'll be only 6 miles from Long Hunter State Park, Percy Priest Lake and just 2 minutes from Pine Creek Golf Course. You will be out and away from the noisy city but only 5 minutes from the Interstate (I-40) and another 15 minutes to downtown Nashville or The Grand Ole Opry. At the Interstate exit, which is only 4.5 miles from the property, you'll have the convenience of a large new shopping mall with great casual dining restaurants like the Olive Garden, O'Charley's, Logan's Roadhouse, Red Lobster, Cracker Barrel, Cheddar's, Longhorn Steak House and several fast food eateries.
