About this property
Hazel at Henley - deluxe b'n'b accommodation between the airport and the beach
We have taken extra cleaning measures to be COVID-19 safe. We, like many, have people with compromised immunity in our family, so are very conscious of being COVID-19 compliant.
We are close to the airport, great beaches, public transport, restaurants/dining, open views. You’ll love our super comfy beds, clean, quality linen, outdoor seating on the verandah, roomy lounge (gas fire & FOXTEL), large bathroom, kitchenette (small fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle) & safe neighbourhood. We are ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers. Your place is the front half of our home - separated by locked connecting doors. We will be on site, maybe with a foster greyhound.
There is WiFi and an instruction manual available when you arrive. Plenty of eating places are within walking distance ranging from cafes to restaurants, pubs and take-aways. The 7 day IGA supermarket, at the end of the street is open from 8am - 10pm. The bus in to the city is within easy walking distance and will take you in to town, or to West Lakes shopping Center.
The beach is an easy 10 minute walk with Henley Square another 15 minutes along the water front form there.
Catching the bus to the city for the Central Markets, museum, art gallery, and of course, Adelaide Oval is just so easy. Super easy for cricket season or AFL games.
We pride ourselves on being helpful and knowledgeable about our area.

About the host
Hosted by Kay Gillett

Love to travel and meet people. We would work hard to make sure your stay was enjoyable and comfortable.
We foster greyhounds who have retired from racing, so there may be one here when you stay.
Our property is unusual in that we live out the back of the property, but it is separated from where you stay by locked doors. We are"on site" and helpful but not in your face.
I am an Adelaide girl, but have lived country SA, interstate and international. Dazz is a country man, who is falling in love with travel and all that this brings.

Why they chose this property
I bought this house from a lovely couple in 2006. Darren and I met in 2008, and in 2012 we renovated this lovely girl and updated everything, by removing the worn out bits, renewing them and updated and luxuriating the rest. When we were left as a couple, we decided to rent out the front of the house and meet new people and expand our circle of friends.
We have lived overseas but the pull of Henley and our sensational neighbours made us return. We are not sorry. We love the area and the people who live here.

What makes this property unique
We are very conscious of being COVID-19 compliant.
We love luxury and wonder why more people don't make it part of their lives, as we have made it part of ours.
You will enjoy a locked box entry through the wide front door. Great if you have mobility issues. This can be without contact, as we are COVID-19 aware.
Enjoy the tropical front garden and why not enjoy a beverage while watching the world pass you by from the front veranda on the comfy couches.
Upon entry, there is a lounge to the right with a gas fire, heating and cooling with ducted air conditioning, windows that open to catch the sea breeze, a TV with Foxtel, chairs and couches.
The main bedroom is on the left. It has a queen sized bed, with electric blanket, air conditioning, ceiling fan, reading lights and plenty of hanging space and drawers. A TV is hidden in the wardrobe, and the windows open here as well. Light can be dimmed with the sheer blinds or for more privacy, there are block out blinds as well.
The second bedroom is next door on the left. It too has a queen bed with electric blanket, reading lights, hanging space, shelves to store clothing and shoes, a TV, opening windows, air conditioning and ceiling fan.
The bathroom has a easy to use shower space with raindrop shower head, no door (for mobility ease), bath sheets, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
The kitchenette has a table and 2 chairs and 2 stools, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery, glassware, chopping boards, trays, and other necessities. We also supply teas, coffees, milk, butter, toppings and bread. PLEASE NOTE we do not have cooking facilities as such, as we expect you to get out and about and experience Henley to the fullest.
There is an ironing board and iron for your use, games, beach towels, beach shelter, books and travel information about the area and state for your use.
Washing can also be done by negotiation.
We take pride in our home and would work hard to make your visit enjoyable.
