Wonderful cozy cottage with mountain views. Borders Gila National Forest.

The cottage is clean comfortable safe home with beautiful nights with a clear view of the stars. The mountain trails into the Gila National Forest are out the back gate. a gazebo, fire pit and propane grill are there at all times. Hunting and fishing! join us for a New Mexico mountain adventure. We are close to historic Pinos Altos and the Gila Cliff Dwellings. We are 40 minutes from Silver City with many restaurants, Pubs, University, galleries and museums. Ten minutes from lake Roberts. Tour of the Gila and mountain biking! Private tennis court for your use! No extra cgarge for your dog and no host fee.

Wonderful property. We played tennis, grilled outside, hiked from property to the National Forest, visited nearby sites and were allowed to bring our dogs. Thank you!

We had a great stay at the cottage! The surrounding landscape was beautiful and perfect for our stay with our son and small dog. We enjoyed a visit to the Gila Cliff Dwellings and did some hiking. The Mimbres Valley is gorgeous! It was fun to get in a little tennis time on their well-maintained court. The icing on the cake was the wonderful banana bread and bottle of wine given to us by the hostess. We enjoyed the grill and the nearby log cabin restaurant. Thanks for a relaxing stay!

Beautiful location enjoyed the views and the area is a special location. We loved it! Silver City was just a few miles away so we went there for the day and came back. We took lots of pictures of plants and flowers!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. It is a pet friendly property so we have been able to spend outdoor quality time with our pooch, in fact, we found the whole area pet friendly including the Log Cabin Restaurant just down the road and the Membres Cultural site Museum and trails. This was our second stay here and it was as enjoyable as the first. The host family was friendly and a font of information about the area and local wildlife sightings. It is a great place for fishing with two lakes nearby, hiking on the Continental Trail which has trail access just down the road towards Lake Roberts. The upper Membres Valley and the Gila Wilderness is breathtaking! We will be back! If you have a hankering for town action Silver City and Western New Mexico University is not far away and is interesting to explore!

Shirley was a great host and the place was just what we were looking for this weekend. We really enjoyed our stay, with an incredible view of the stars right out the front door. The cottage was perfect for my friend and I; and the banana bread that welcomed us was fantastic!

We are Marty and Shirley Mize. Marty is a retired Hot metal crane operator at the Copper mine, currently is Fire Chief of the Upper Mimbres Fire department. Shirley is a retired Director of Cardiopulmonary/Neuro at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City. Currently serving on the board of Camp Thunderbird. We have 4 wonderful grown sons and three grandsons. We love playing tennis, walking and collecting antiques and making stained glass.
