Quiet Blue Ridge Mountain Cottage

Quiet cottage nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains!
I live next door and am usually around to greet my guest and to answer any questions you may have.

Pool is open to the rental guests only-During May and Aug and part of early Sept Depending on how warm the temp is here

Just minutes away from historic Charlottesville, Virginia.
Recommended Activities:
-Tubing in the James River (15min away)
-Various Brewery/Winery Tours (15min away)
-The Walton House (5min away)
-Wintergreen Ski Resort (30min away)

We had a lovely stay and truly appreciated the kindness and care that went into this home. It has a rustic charm that made our visit feel cozy and relaxed, and the pool was an absolute highlight — peaceful, clean, and perfect for unwinding. Our host was kind and attentive. We planned to have a pool party/family gathering. Rain and overcast weather made that not work as planned. The Cottage worked for us to play games and watch movies. If you are looking for an old school vintage backwoods experience -This is your jam! P.S. Drivers should know the house in off a gravel road.

The cottage was perfect for our family’s needs. It has a very nostalgic /vintage feel to it which we all found comforting. It’s about 30 minutes from UVA. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We’d stay there again if we ever needed a place out that way.

Good place to visit and get away from the city for the fourth. Pro(s)- The pool is lovely! There are very large umbrellas for shade on both sides of the pool. The owner also services the pool daily so it's for sure kept clean. - Very close to wineries, which are great to visit during the day, followed by a relaxing swim in the pool afterwards. Con(s)- The house could use a good deep clean by a cleaning service. Top level things were very clean but could definitely use a deep clean once the summer season starts. Our family though has a rule to always leave a place cleaner than when you found it!

Great getaway!

This house was exactly what we needed for this trip. Ample cozy space to spread out, a well maintained pool, a stocked kitchen for cooking, and many memories made. Diana is a great host!

Peaceful and relaxing

The cottage was very nice and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking utensils. The cabin had DVDs, books and games. It was very lovely and cosy.
