Near I-35 for easy access to movies, shopping, sports activities, or simply enjoying the peaceful shaded back yard deck and patio. 1.5 miles from the BNSF Logistics Park, 1.5 miles from Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Hospital. Inviting front porch along with master suite which can accommodate children and adults. Plenty of room for the portable bunk bed or port-a-crib if needed (see costs) King sized bed in the master suite along with ceiling fan, large closet and master bath attached to laundry. Hardwood floors throughout except in master suite and all-season room which both have updated carpeting. Kitchen provides, frig with icemaker, full gas range, microwave, coffee nook, eating area and tile floors. Formal dining room with games available. Great room has television, lots of seating and opens to the dining area.

Lots of room for large families or groups to spread out with 5 bedrooms all with queen mattresses except the master bedroom with a king mattress. Feels like you’re staying at your grandma’s house, with most parts of the house relatively unchanged since it was built. It’s a little bit musty, and could use ceiling fans, better WiFi, and a better TV, but the abundance of space helps to make up for those minor downfalls.

May Wedding

Very spacious home, comfortable, clean and close to downtown. It was within walking distance to our family whose son was getting married. The 3 bathrooms were great for us to all get ready for the special day. Would recommend to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy their stay!

Clean, spacious older home that has been remodeled well. Great kitchen with new appliances. Fabulous master bath! Beds are super comfy. Close to train tracks, but noise was very minimal. Huge yard! Plenty of off-street parking and close to restaurants, grocery and drugstore.

The house was quaint and older, yet in good condition and clean. A little stuffy/musty but that diminished during our stay. There was an ample amount of towels for our group. We had to make do with some of the kitchen utensils/supplies (measuring cups?). There was only one television in the home, but due to our circumstances it wasn’t needed or watched often. Wi-Fi was unavailable/maxed out for the month upon our arrival. The area was very quiet with the exception of a train passing by occasionally. The property was perfect for our extended family and space was ample. We will likely stay again while visiting family.

Nice place.

A coffee table had neen broken previously. It was glued and put back to use. Previous visitors or owners. Not sure by who. When a suitcase was placed on it by one of us it totally collapsed under the light weight. Not sure if we'll be charged, but truly should not be.

Oh my what a beautiful comfortable home we were blessed to be able to stay in. We may have only been a day but loved our home away. So comfortable and clean. Have already recommended to some friends that are Chiefs fans and travel to KC often. If we ever go back to Oklahoma or I find myself in the Kansas City area we will book again. I went for a wedding and it turned into a mini family reunion when we rented this single level ranch with 5 bedrooms. My brother, his caretaker, my two sisters and myself each had our own room and mobility inside was great. Loved having the family room and the 4 season room which is where we spent most of our time catching up since we are dispersed around the country. The kitchen is completely stocked. The master bedroom and bath were wonderful. The 3 bedrooms at the end of the house could have used more outlets, but that comes with an older house and our electronic world. The owner was very attentive if we texted her for anything. If you have little ones I saw 2 high chairs and 2 pack-n-plays. A few games and coloring books. We did a jigsaw puzzle, but wished there would have been adult games. A pleasant stay and would book there again.

Right in the middle of Gardner, which was great for us. Close to groceries and pharmacies. A bit concerned when we realized it was way nicer looking on the outside than any other house on the street, but there were no problems at all. Older house but they have done a great job remodeling the kitchen and Master suite. Unbelievably clean. Musty smell, but had the weather allowed, opening windows might have taken care of that. Would suggest a new mattress in Master bedroom. Living room and a couple of the bedrooms had sheers, would suggest something less see through esp in bedrooms so you don’t have to change clothes in bathroom, although most windows do not look onto a street. We were never able to hook up to the WiFi. Overall, we were pleased with the accommodations.

Exactly as listed plus more

The house is exactly what is listed plus more. It is conveniently located by many fast food restaurants and the highway. It was an amazing sunroom with a huge yard. We had 10 guest and we all fit very comfortably with much more room to spare. Kitchen is lacking a few items for cooking but we managed just fine. We would definitely rent the house again if in the area.

Traveled from out of state for a family wedding

Joyce was great to work with. We had to be in touvh with her last minute in regards to last minute wedding changes due to COVID and she was very understanding and easy to work with. The property was perfect and spacious. Great place to stay and accommodate multiple familiy members. And everyone still have their own space. The yard is spacious and great to walk around and explore. There is a backyard patio with outdoor games to use. We had plenty of parking in the driveway and the town itself is very easy to get around. Everything is accessible within 5 to 7 minutes. When our next daughter gets married, we look forward to renting this space again. Thank you so much Joyce!

We've managed rental properties for over 20 years, both our own and belonging to others. We also own businesses here in Gardner and were both raised here. It's a town that's easy to call "home" and we are proud to be natives.

Why they chose this property

Big ranch-style homes are simply comfortable places to be and this one is no exception. It's roomy and has privacy for guests since each queen sized bed sits in it's own bedroom (4) and the master king suite is very private in the other end of the house. It can accommodate 10 easily, however for a small charge, a portable bunk bed can be added or cots. 20-30 minutes on I35 easily gets you to downtown Kansas City to the northeast or Lawrence to the northwest. Yet you come home to our smaller, convenient home town.
