About this property
Available for stay in Jan to mid March 2025. Monthly at a reduced rate.
We have a direct walkway and pedestrian bridge, across to the beach, easily made in 5 minutes. Of our three Live Oak houses, this one is the closest, and one beach path away from the Beach Club.
This is a uniquely designed and furnished home that offers total privacy, while still only that short walk to the beach.
This special home offers good views of Sea Pines' new Plantation Club where two of the Sea Pine's Resort golf courses start and finish, and looks directly out to the first green of the Atlantic Dunes course.
You access this house by coming down a long driveway to the front of the house where the property's namesake - a striking wood carving of an American Eagle - awaits. Upon entering the front door you will find wide hallways and banks of floor to ceiling windows and sliding glass doors all looking to onto the courtyard pool. The house features 10' ceilings throughout. As we worked to bring this house back to life, we strived to strike the perfect balance between elegance and relaxation, group areas and private space.
Turning left after entering the home, you will find a kitchen with all new appliances and generously equipped with everything a fine cook would expect. Nearby, a sliding glass door will give you access to a Weber gas grill in the pool/patio area, if outdoor cooking is your preference. Also nearby, the kitchen, laundry room with two washing machine and two dryers, and an office cubicle with a printer for those who need to do some work while on vacation. If you need supplies for the printer, a Staples is nearby.
Off of the kitchen is breakfast nook that seats 8 and overlooks the first green of the Atlantic Dunes course only 30 yards across a lagoon nearby. A delightful view where you can enjoy breakfast and watch golfers putt, the adjoining dining room also seats 8, this also looks out at the Atlantic Dunes' first green. We have named this room "The Bagger Vance Room" for reasons you will understand when you stay with us.
Next comes a living room that has two separate seating areas and is watched over by our large "Eagles' Nest" canvas hung over the fire place. Look out to the pool and patio are here, or the golf course. Finally, the last room in this wing is "The Captain's Cabin." When Gary first walked into this room he felt he had walked into a captain's cabin on a three-masted sailing ship. The room is large and it features panoramic views. It has a wet bar with fridge, a half bath (where we store the pool towels), a door that accesses the pool, a games table, or, after a fun filled day, relax and watch TV on our 75" flat screen over the fireplace. We hope this room gives you as much enjoyment as we meant it to.
The opposite side of the house finds the bedroom wing. The master bedroom has a king size bed, two bathrooms (yes, two) one has a whirlpool tub with shower, vanity and dressing table. A shower in the other has an exterior door that opens to the pool. The other three bedrooms each have their own bathroom en-suite. Two of these bedrooms have king size beds, while the fourth bedroom has more flexibility with both a queen bed and a twin bed. Each bedroom room has it's own 32" flatscreen TV.
The pool is surrounded by the house in a U shape, with ample chaise lounges and seating. The lawn beyond the pool and house offers more seating and complete privacy while overlooking a lagoon. We are pet friendly by arrangement with us, dogs only, at least one year of age. A fence encompasses the entire pool and terrace which includes an astro-turf area for late night doggy use. This gated fence allows freedom for our visiting doggy guests and convenience for their owners. Pet fee per each dog is $225.00. First dog is paid with your booking fee, second dog is paid directly to us.
Another outdoor seating area in the front of the house, overlooks the 1st green, here golfers can be seen putting... or chipping when they overshoot the green and the ball does not quite roll into the lagoon.
Access to the the beach via the pedestrian bridge across from our house, is less than a 6 minute walk.
Arrangements may be made to heat the pool Late March to Early November.
WE HAVE THREE MORE HOMES listed on HomeAway. Their HomeAway VRBO numbers are 239212 or 3523347 both also on Live Oak Road or 371621 located in Baynard Park.
For those who like to bike ride, we have arrangements with Riding Tigers Bike Rentals to obtain discounted pricing on bike rentals for our guests. Simply call them and ask for the discount. They offer free delivery and pickup also.

Walked in the door with our realtor, promising her that we already had 3 lovely rentals and did not plan on a fourth. However, after that first step inside we changed our minds, falling in love with this uniquely designed home, with high ceilings and so many glass doors and huge windows throughout.
We love and enjoy our time in Sea Pines and owning our other 3 homes here also. 239212 and 3523347, 6 & 11 Live Oak Road and 371621 at 11 Baynard Park Road. All are pet friendly for dogs with no size limits. We spend a lot of time improving these homes every time we visit. We want our renters to enjoy the ultimate comforts, during their vacation in one of our homes. Many of our guests return year after year.

Why they chose this property
Our realtor called us while we were staying in Sea Pines this past January, when we walked into this house we fell in love. Still owned & lived in by the family who built it over 40 years before, the unique design, and high ceilings with unusual configurations intrigued us, not to mention the very private and large lawn areas, views of the nearby lagoon and the first green of the Atlantic Dunes course. This is a mini estate, so unusual in Sea Pines.
And very importantly for our guests, an easy and quick walk to the beach.
Since we purchased this house we commenced with upgrades and totally renovated the pool and patio. It has been an interesting experience with what we consider, fabulous results.

What makes this property unique
The house, reached by a long driveway, has complete privacy. There are lounging areas around the pool with plenty of sun. Lawns surround part of the house and we have seating that can be in the sun or shaded by beautiful trees. A pleasant 5 to 6 minute walk puts you on the beach less that 200 yards from The Beach Club.
