Quirky place to stay close to Edinburgh's vibrant attractions
Spacious flat - enough space for 10 to sleep comfortably (once we had removed the hard boards from one of the beds!?!) Lovely quirky features and good value for money.
This apartment was like staying in a cozy jewel box- something beautiful to look at everywhere your eyes turn. The kitchen was spacious with a big table to gather around. The bedrooms were good sized and the hidden bedroom was extra fun. Bus stops are close by and the local area provides most everything you need. And the hosts have a great tip sheet to help you find what you need in the area. It’s only a few blocks from the bottom of the Royal Mile so we walked to most tourist destinations- including Arthur’s Seat. The only slight downside to this apartment from our perspective was that the beds were very firm.more than we cared for.
If you’re looking for a run of the mill apartment, this isn’t for you. However, if you’d like a place to stay that is full of charm and whimsy and still has the comforts and convenience of a modern apartment, this is a great option. Carmen and Tom are great hosts. Responsive from beginning to end and they’ve created such a unique home I mean, who doesn’t love a secret room! The stairs could be an issue for someone with mobility issues but for our family of parents and adult children the apartment added another fun element to a great stay in Edinburgh.
