Stunning Views with Good Hill Climbing

Puerto Vallarta 2023 The Views are stunning

Stayed once again at the beautiful little condo up in the hills of Alta Vista and we loved it. From booking to check out we have absolutely nothing to complain about, friendly Neighbors owners and caretakers of the property. First time to PV, location as described is up a steep hill. We’re both 50, and in ok shape. Some days we walked and others we were happy to Uber. For us the location was perfect, nice and quiet with a great view. Property manager was responsive and great to deal with.

Great cozy apartment

Friendly neighbors, Unit was larger than expected for a studio apartment The roof top common area made our stay, used it almost every day. The hill top climb is a challenge, I would recommend people with mobility issues do not stay as we had several taxi only make it up part way. We are active and made the trek on foot when ever we could for the great high intensity cardio.

It’s a very nice place with great views and the hosts provide well. As every review mentions, it’s up a steep hill, so plan extra transportation costs for Uber or taxis. I had two drivers get lost trying to find the place but that’s mostly their fault. They should have had better maps. Uber worked better. Great place!

Great View

I loved my stay here. After a bit of a rocky start – power went out the first time I was there from 9 o’clock till 2:30 in the morning, but that was nobody’s fault except the electric company. Also, it was recommended that I not drink the water there, but after speaking to a resident found that the water was filtered and safe to drink. That was such a relief. There was a problem with the Wi-Fi, but the host Martin fixed that problem immediately. The place is hard for cab drivers to find so be sure when you stay there that you know how to tell the cab driver to get to your place.

Another Amazing winter in Puerto Vallarta 2020

What an Amazing place We spent 6 weeks in this studio suite and enjoyed every bit of it. Martin VRBO, Jesus and all the friendly owners in this condo along with the Spectacular views and amenities made our stay perfect for us once again this year, we both can not wait to return again next winter. Easy booking, small issues dealt with in a very timely manner great exercise when coming to and from the unit were something we also enjoyed. Just want to end off by saying if you do not like stairs and hills this place is not for you Rick and Luanne

Comfortable Studio

For the most part, the studio was comfortable. The view from the rooftop is incredible. The kitchen has just about everything you need for cooking meals. I stayed for two months and overall i enjoyed the accommodations; however, I was disappointed that there was no working BBQ for half of my stay. The pool was refreshing, but needs a good sweep more often as debris settles at the bottom as there is no bottom filter.

Comfortable Accommodation With Spectacular Rooftop View

My two-month stay at Alta Vista was wonderful. The condo was ideal for just myself but would work for two people too. The bed was very comfy, the shower water pressure strong, the kitchen fully equipped, and living/dining space just the right size. Air conditioner worked perfectly. Loved having access to laundry on site. The rooftop terrace has a small but refreshing pool, BBQ, bathroom, fridge, and bathroom, and sitting area. And, the view from the rooftop is simply anazing! The condo is at the end of a rather steep climb, and although walking downhill isn't too rough, I found taking an Uber back up to be the best method, with fares running between 42-50 pesos (slightly more on weekends). The owners were delightful too! I would definitely stay again on a future visit to Puerto Vallarta. My only suggestion would be for a newer bed comforter and pillows. Overall, I'd rate the place a 9.5 out of 10.

Dont bother

I did many extra chores because I saw it was not clean, completely not as advertised. The host upon hearing his review would not be positive refused to give several of my personal items back, despite one of these is a life threatening medication for seizures. This vindictive host, who not one in my six days there actually never had the guts to show his face. I’m a travel writer and for all these reasons I have put him on my trust violated list. Be warned.

Secluded get-away in the city

Here's the first thing you need to know about the property:while it's not technically far from the action, geographically it is. What I mean by that is that traversing the terrain is a challenge. By the 3rd day, I was walking into town but usually Übering back (threeish bucks US). So just know that going in and you're great. Now, the property itself is fantastic! The space is well laid out, functional, and so cozy. I spent a couple of days just being in the space, reading in bed with the windows open. When I got tired of that, I went up to the rooftop pool/patio and read/sunbathed there. (It's a rough life.) The unit has a really comfy bed, a large closet, comfy chairs for lounging, and a great kitchen/dining space. My biggest "complaint" is the raindrop shower because (a) I just don't like them, and (b) there is limited hot water. I found I had to turn the water pressure way down and then off while I soaped (not bad for the environment though!) in order to make it through the shower with a comfortable-for-me temperature. Like the terrain issue, there's an easy workaround. I made everyone jealous with my spectacular views of the city from the rooftop. Martin was friendly, quick to respond to any communication, and processed my deposit return the next day after my stay completed. Jesus was there to get me in to the space, was available to help if I had an issue, and helped me when I was leaving. I can't recommend this place highly enough! You won't be sorry for staying here and your calves will look amazing after a day or two!

Lovely view from the terrace

This studio works well for one or two persons, with accurate photos displayed. The terrace is three floors above, and shared with the other residents, not clear in the description, although the people were interesting and fun. There are 6 units in the building I believe, all much larger. We enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows, the quiet (except for roosters in the morning and some construction noise from a very tall building below, and the sound of the garage door opening right underneath the unit). The bed is comfy, but we purchased new pillows. The location is nice, although challenging. There are at least 3 steep routes to get down the high hill location: Calles Aguacate, Jacarandas and Púlpito. We liked Púlpito the best (smoother, easiest to walk, and also Aguacate (with uneven roads and many stairs down - stairs are tricky to find). Roads are VERY steep and rocky. We walked down, but mostly used taxi to get back up.

The apartment is a nicely laid out studio/one bed (the comfortable bed is in a separate alcove, so you are not looking at it as you eat). It was very clean and well provided, with all modern appliances. The view is indeed spectacular - from the rooftop terrace. The 'balcony' is actually the end of the entrance corridor, so not completely private as residents are frequently walking past. But I would have my morning coffee out there and actually found it an opportunity to be social. The residents were very friendly. As the building backs on to the hillside, there is no natural cross-breeze, but the fan provided worked well during the day, and by running the efficient air-conditioner for an hour before bedtime, I found it was perfectly comfortable. The apartment is shaded all day. The only caveat I would provide is that guests should be very clear about the location. The walk up Aquacate to the apartment, from Basilio Badillo - it is VERY steep and includes a formidable staircase, (or a longer walk-round via Pulito). If you have a car, it should be no problem, but I found that taxis are not always willing to make the drive up. But, for the fit, healthy or young-at-heart, it is a lovely apartment and location.

This is an absolutely wonderful place for which to enjoy your visit to Puerto Vallarta!

This apartment was entirely to our liking. It sits on the side of a hill overlooking all of Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay. The building is a new construction, which is very well maintained and absolutely secure. The view from the rooftop terrace, which has lounging furniture, a pool and barbecue, is spectacular. The studio apartment is surprisingly spacious and spotlessly clean, enjoying every amenity a guest might want or need: from the usual kitchen appliances to a washer and dryer, from two televisions to a stereo. The furniture and bed are comfortable and the dining table quite large. The complex is small, affording plenty of privacy, and yet the neighbors were friendly and helpful when engaged. The owners are very hospitable and accommodating people. My wife and I stayed there for ten nights and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We felt right at home and give it our wholehearted recommendation.

We have find this property when we where walking in the Amapas area .
This small 6 units complex is very well located with the nicest view of all Puerto Vallarta, the roof top is not crowded like other big complex, very calm and the best part is that you can relax without the noise of Mexico.
( no rooster, no dogs, trucks, motorcycle or constructions.)
5 to 10 minutes walk down and your in the actions and WOW 40 pesos will get you back at your quiet retreat with Uber.
