Cool Place to Enjoy the Shenandoahs
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This is a pretty quirky house, lots of rooms and closets. Takes a bit to find your way around which is part of the charm. This is not a 5 star hotel. It's a quaint, country house with all the idiosyncrasies of a 100+ year old home. But, it was clean, comfortable and a great location to stay. If you're looking for plush luxury this is not your place. If you want a fun, beautiful homey spot this will suit your needs.

Creepy house
We arrived late at night. It’s a bit hard to find, but the owner was very responsive and helpful. Since it was dark, we parked where we assumed was obvious parking, right in front of the back door so we could unload our stuff. After prying the door open because it was very stuck, the man in the house next door came by to talk to us. I’m sure he’s nice, but it was a little uncomfortable. He talked to us for about 15 minutes and most of the conversation was him telling us that we parked in the wrong place and he was worried we were gonna run over his cat. The following day, we got back to the house as it was getting dark. The man stood in his doorway behind his screen door and just watched us the entire time we were getting our stuff out of the car, about 10 minutes. Aside from the creepy man living next door, the house is old and a little musty, but not uncomfortable.

I am a teacher in Shenandoah County and reside in Clarke County. My mom passed away in 2015 and I purchased the home from my siblings in 2016. For two years, I have renovated and restored the home to where I think my mother would be proud of this home.
I am a mother of four grown children and have three grandchildren. I coach soccer, help out in the family business, and have written two books, "Life is a Melody" a novella and "The Flower GIrl" a compilation of short stories.

Why they chose this property

The Keyser House is my childhood home and I have so many treasured memories of this house. I hope you will have some treasured vacation memories when you stay with me and enjoy the beauty of the historic Shenandoah Valley!
As a child, my mother always invited all of the neighbors in to visit and to have meals. I would like to offer her home to you to relax and to enjoy!

What makes this property unique

Enjoy the country ambiance with all of the comforts of home.
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the house also has a large yard, deck and has been recently landscaped. The family room is spacious and comfortable. It is conveniently located to many scenic attractions, including Luray Caverns, Skyline Caverns, Shenandoah National park and many hiking trails!
