Oxford Holiday Cottage - Self catering, Mountain Views, 10 Acres

Oxford Holiday Cottage is a modern, two bedroom, self-contained, self catering cottage set on our 10 acre lifestyle block with mountain views in Oxford, North Canterbury, New Zealand. We have very friendly chickens and three steers on the property.

The cottage is lovely and warm - perfect for that weekend getaway, holiday, ski trip or when visiting family in Oxford. (Sleeps up to six). Now with fast WiFi!

The holiday cottage is modern & fully furnished to a high standard, it has a spacious open plan living area, two bedrooms & a bathroom. The cottage is cleaned to a high standard and we take the time to iron the bedsheets. Towels are also provided.

Due to previous issues WE NO LONGER ACCEPT BOOKINGS FOR BRIDAL PARTY GROUPS attending weddings or other wedding related events.

The cottage is lovely & warm with high levels of insulation, perfect for that winter getaway. There is plenty of firewood & the log burner can be lit for your arrival. There is a heat pump for heating or air conditioning. Check out our website for more information.

The kitchen is fully equipped - complete with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, clothes dryer, tub, gas hot water, toaster, sandwich toaster, kettle - all you need for a relaxing break! Tea & coffee are provided & milk on arrival. Guests can use our BBQ on request.

The lounge area has a log burner, tv with freeview, dvd player & cd player/radio. Wi-Fi is available. Smoking or vaping is not permitted inside.

The main bedroom contains a queen sized bed, wardrobe, drawers & bedside cabinet. Sink into the feather pillows and enjoy a relaxing stay in the country!

The second bedroom contains a double bunk bed (double bottom, single top), single bed, large drawers & bedside cabinet.
The bathroom has a shower, toilet, hairdryer, heater & vanity.

There is an outside play area for children (slide, swings, fort, tyre swing, trampoline). A porta cot, baby bath and baby toys are available on request. You can feed the chickens, watch the cattle (3 steers). There are also goats, sheep, horses and a peacock in the neighbouring properties.

We don't allow domestic pets but we may be able to accommodate horses if you are attending an equestrian event in the area. Advance notice is required.

Close to Waimakariri golf course, Oxford & View Hill tennis courts, kayaking at the Waimakariri Gorge and Ashley gorge or Waimakariri River, hiking, mountain biking....

We are a great alternative to a Hotel, Motel or B&B with plenty of space inside and out! The fire will keep you toasty warm in winter, perfect after a day of skiing or snowboarding at Mount Hutt or Porters. The cottage is only 7 minutes drive from Oxford township.

Our house is 30 metres from the cottage. We also have a tiny house available (approx 12 metres from the cottage).
Relax & unwind, feed the chickens, watch the cattle, explore the forest & enjoy our little piece of paradise that is New Zealand!
