Cozy guest apartment with private entrance on a walkout level of large home. Quiet location amongst tall pine trees on Talcott Mountain. Large private space with living area, kitchen with microwave and refrigerator, desk and computer, bedroom and private bath with shower. Cable TV and WIFI included. Located on the Bloomfield/Simsbury line close to some of the best hiking trails in New England, kayaking on the historic Farmington River, and the Connecticut Greenway Bike Trail (New Haven to the Mass border). Kayaks and bikes are available through local agencies. Ten minutes from Bloomfield based insurance companies, 20-minutes from Hartford/Springfield Airport (BDL) and Hartford.

The entire private apartment (1200 square feet) is available to our guests. It includes a spacious living room area with smart TV, books, office desk, kitchen, bedroom with privacy doors and bathroom with a large shower.

Outdoor activities are just one of the highlights of the area. There are also major attractions such as the Mark Twain house, historic sites, and country fairs just minutes away. The summer and fall are one of the best times to come to Connecticut.

Trip to Hartford Area

Everything I could have needed was provided. The owner thought of everything. The property was beautifully decorated, I could easily and happily stayed much longer or moved in! A special in the woods

After a long flight from Los Angeles, we were greeted by the owners and led to their nicely renovated basement. We felt quite like we were in a retreat surrounded by woods. Our goal was to destress and adjust to ET before heading to a family reunion. The solitude, silence and being surrounded with the beauty of God’s beautiful creation was perfect.

I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful apartment for two weeks during July 2022. The space is neat, clean, and well appointed. I was traveling solo during my stay, but there is PLENTY of space for two people. The wooded setting in a quiet neighborhood was a huge plus for me. The location is convenient to Bradley Airport and much of the greater Hartford area. I enjoyed outdoor recreation opportunities in the immediate area, which are plentiful. You would be hard-pressed to find better hosts. I highly recommend this lovely place and hope to stay there again myself in the future.

Brad & Susan are terrific Hosts

My wife and I have been hoping to find a Beautiful and Comfortable cottage when we visit Hartford.Wow we found it! The Room feels like a spacious loft, more than enough space and comfort. Beautifully taken care of and in a wooded area that is attached to home yet feels like it's a separate cottage. Brad & Susan make you feel like your family, good people that want your experience to be a delight. This will be our main rental when were in town.

The perfect place to stay

We stayed over Thanksgiving and this was our second time there. Everything about the space is perfect. The neighborhood is quiet and residential. Access to the unit is easy. The space itself has everything you need and is wonderfully laid out. It's also huge -- so the bedroom (with bathroom) are on one end (with doors) and the other end has the living room with fireplace, big TV and a comfy couch. In between is are a large entryway, dining room table, and mini-kitchen with refrigerator/freezer and microwave. A few minutes away is a great bagel place to grab something in the morning and come back and relax. Overall, it is incredibly neat, clean, and has a terrific look and feel. Brad and his wife are wonderful hosts. The communication is great and they make you feel at home. Lastly, the overall location is perfect -- it's in between Simsbury and Bloomfield centers so lots of options for eating and groceries. I can't recommend this place enough.
