About the host
Hosted by Trevor Boreham
Hello Future Guests,
I'm Trevor—a local firefighter in Southern California and the proud owner of The 717. Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my cabin!
In 2017, I began a renovation journey with the vision of turning this peaceful spot in the San Bernardino Mountains into a warm, welcoming retreat. Growing up in the Los Angeles area, the mountains were always my escape—a place to recharge, reflect, and reconnect. Now, as a dad, it’s even more meaningful to share that experience with my daughter.
Whether you’re here for adventure, relaxation, or quality time with loved ones, I hope The 717 becomes your home away from home. It’s a space built with care, and I truly hope it helps you create lasting memories in Big Bear.
If there’s anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable or enjoyable, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help.
Wishing you a wonderful stay and hoping to host you soon!
Warmly,
Trevor

Why they chose this property
I chose this area because it offers the perfect mix of nature, adventure, and peaceful mountain living. Being within minutes of Bear Mountain and Snow Summit makes it ideal for skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and the nearby lake, hiking trails, and bike paths make it just as great in the summer. I also love the small-town charm of The Village, and having the newly renovated Big Bear Alpine Zoo and golf course close by is a bonus. Whether it's a family weekend or a solo recharge, this area truly has something for everyone.
What makes this property unique
What makes The 717 unique is its cozy, home-like feel paired with thoughtful amenities that bring people together. Tucked in a peaceful Upper Moonridge neighborhood, it’s close to everything Big Bear has to offer—yet far enough to truly unwind. Inside, guests love the game loft featuring a foosball table, Wii console with classic games (like Guitar Hero!), and a Star Wars pinball machine. The cabin is designed for families, couples, or friends to reconnect, unplug, and create lasting memories. It’s a place built with care, and you can feel it the moment you walk in.
