Please note...there are cameras located at the driveway and entrances of the property. These are solely on the exterior of the property. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy and other property policies. It in no way infringes upon the expectation of privacy in these public areas. Snow removal services are supposed to arrive within 24 hours of any snowfall more than 4+ inches, to clear the driveway and a pathway to the main entrance. Snow removal companies cannot guarantee a specific time the property will be serviced. Therefore, guests may have to shovel a spot to park if they arrive before the snow removal company or if it snows during their stay. There have been times in larger storms (2ft+ of snowfall) when snow removal can take longer. It doesn’t happen often, and our other guests have always been able to make it work. Just know that in those cases we are doing everything we can to get someone out there.

Please be aware that weather conditions can change rapidly especially during winter months. We are unable to honor last-minute cancellations due to weather/road conditions. Chains or 4WD/AWD vehicle requirements are often in effect in order to enter Big Bear Valley. Guests booking a stay in the winter should be prepared for the possibility of tire chains being necessary to travel to Big Bear. This requirement is enforced by city officials and law enforcement. We recommend arriving before dark; guests arriving late during the winter months may encounter icy roads and long delays.
Other things to note
*NOTE: We have a max occupancy of 6 people total (including all babies and children), per Big Bear's occupancy rules. No exceptions will be made.

Big Bear Birthday Trip
This property was amazing. The open floor plan was perfect for cooking and hanging out. The kitchen is a cook's dream. It had everything you needed to prepare a meal, with updated appliances and plenty of counter space. The large sectional was a comfortable spot to watch movies and warm up in front of the fireplace. The bedrooms and loft were cozy. The large backyard was beautiful and our little pup loved it. Lori was great - she answered all of my questions and made the check-in/check-out process super easy. She even left us a welcome note with a bottle of wine and a little box full of stuff for our pup, like bowls, a mat, and treats. So thoughtful! This is one of our favorite properties that we have rented, and we cannot wait to come back!

Hello! Thank you for taking a moment to consider staying with us. We are a family of four who love to travel and make memories together. We are San Diego residents who love to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and visit our "home away from home", Bleu J Cabin. We are honored to share our cabin with other families and groups who want to get away to the mountains to relax and recharge!

Why they chose this property

Our home was professionally designed to meet the demands of modern convenience (WIFI, newer appliances etc) while also providing the cozy mountain aesthetic you want when you travel to the mountains. The cabin is pleasing to the eye and set back on a large lot with a HUGE fenced backyard. There is a deck and a grill plus a hammock for when the weather is nice :).

What makes this property unique

A very short walk to the lake and marina! Also very close to the village.
