About this property
Ground Floor Corner Unit In Close Proximity To Beach And Downtown Kihei.
If location is everything, this condo is location GOLD! Our 2-bedroom Kalama Terrace condo is located on a quiet street just off the main strip. You feel secluded and at home - meanwhile, you are a short walk from downtown Kihei. Our entire condo was recently remodeled and offers a fully furnished kitchen, two spacious bedrooms equipped with queen-size beds, full bathroom with granite countertops, living/dining room, a lanai, and is air-conditioned. The condo is located on the ground floor and is a corner unit, allowing for maximum privacy and ease of entry (handicap accessible). Complimentary hi-speed Wi-Fi will help you stay connected, or relax in front of our 42in HD tv. Newly installed tropical-themed furniture is complimented by local Hawaiian artwork to give you the true feeling of island living. The lanai provides the perfect space to sit outside in privacy and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. Your two private parking spots are just steps from your front door, or, forget a car; you’re less than a four minute walk to the world re-known Charlie Young Beach!
If you feel like relaxing nearby, the newly renovated pool is the perfect place to indulge in the sun. Just walk out the front door, the tall palm trees and tropical foliage make the pool a tropical oasis. The connected grilling area featuring two large stainless steel grills is perfect for barbecuing or to throw your own Luau!
Let your feet take you to one of the numerous boutique stores and local markets you’ll find nearby. You’ll be enchanted by the Hawaiian craftsmanship and Island themes. Or, walk the beach through beautiful Wailea. Stop for a bite to eat or a quick drink at any of the nearby restaurants and bars, but don’t stray too far; you’ll want to return to Charlie Young Beach for the world’s most beautiful sunset.
If you’re looking for something new, Cove Park (0.2 miles), Kihei’s surf hot-spot, is less than a five minute walk from your door. It’s perfect for beginner and intermediate surfers alike. Grab your board and navigate the ocean for an hour. Don’t be surprised if a curious sea turtle swims up to say hello. Ask the locals for tips, or buy a surf lesson from the Maui Wave Riders, located right across the street. If surfing isn’t your thing, they rent paddle boards as well.
If you get hungry, the Kihei Caffe (.5 miles) is less than a ten minute walk down the street. It’s one of Kihei’s hidden gems offering a great breakfast for an affordable price. For lunch and dinner, the 808 Deli, Fred’s Mexican Restaurant, and Moose Mcgillycuddy's (all 0.5 miles) are neighborhood favorites. If you’re looking for something romantic, try the 5 Palm’s Restaurant. Located on the beach at the 5 Palm’s resort, the food is carefully crafted and the view is unbeatable. Don’t miss out on the numerous food trucks scattered throughout Kihei. They offer diverse options of fresh foods for a fraction of what you would pay at a restaurant. If you want the true Maui experience, you’ll have to give these trucks a try!
When the sun starts to set is when the night begins to heat up. Kihei boasts a robust and exotic nightlife including everything from cocktails and karaoke, to dancing and craft beers. Start your night off at Life’s a Beach (0.5 miles) for their famous Mai Tai’s and $1 tacos. Then make your way to one of the four bars within a block’s radius. South Shore Tiki Lounge is a good place to catch some live music, while Dog and Duck Irish Pub can help you keep cool with a tall Pint. Don’t miss out on Maui’s original craft beer. Maui Brewing Company (2.8 miles) is a bit off the beaten path, but it is well worth the drive if you like microbrews. Their beers are unique to the island, and they have a state-of-the-art tasting room that stays open surprising late. This is a great place to hang out, play games and try out local food trucks.
You will find many options for excursions on the island. Purchase them online, or walk to one of the nearby tourist shops. Luau’s, snorkeling the sunken island of Molokini, or mountain biking down Haleakala (Maui’s 10,000ft tall mountain), are some of the more popular activities. The Marriott offers one of the best Luau’s on the island for a reasonable price.
**Please note: Standard occupancy rate is for 2 people. There is a fee for additional guests. Tenants will be evicted if number of guests does not match the reservation.**
