Mammoth Ski & Racquet Club #86 - Pet Friendly

Welcome home to this beautifully remodeled pet-friendly 1 bedroom plus loft condo with 2 bathrooms.

Main Floor: You will enjoy a view of the Sherwin Mountains as you relax in a living room with new recessed lighting and an archway to let all the light flow in. Flat screen tv and dvd player in the living room to relax after a day of outside activities.

Kitchen: Enjoy the luxury and convenience of a fully remodeled kitchen with new appliances and quartz counter tops. It is stocked with the staples to prepare a home-cooked meal. New wood flooring is also a feature throughout the downstairs. It has a Keurig & regular coffee maker, so bring your favorite coffee.

Upstairs: In the loft area, you will find the comfort of a queen sized bed as well as a set of twin bunk beds that feature new mattresses and new bedding.

Bed Arrangement: In the master bedroom you will find a queen size bed with flat screen TV and new bedding.

This condo is in a prime location near the upper spa and tennis courts in the summer and near the ski back trail in the winter. It is located on the 2nd floor and there are no elevators.

Maximum Occupancy: Accommodates 6 people.

Complex Amenities: This condo is close to the pool, two spas, saunas, recreation room, and community barbecues. Coin operated washing machine and dryers are located on the premises.


You can walk or take a short drive to Canyon Lodge (approx. ½ a mile) or catch a free shuttle to Mammoth Village (approx. 1 mile) just down the street.

Towels and linens are supplied but extra towels for the pool/jacuzzi are not supplied.

Internet is provided as a complimentary service and is not guaranteed. No discounts/refunds will be given for connectivity problems/failure.

Parking: 1 vehicle guaranteed. For 2nd vehicle, it is a first come first serve basis; please check in with office first.

On site management is accessible 24/7 and snow removal is performed as the snow falls for uninhibited access.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The check-in process was easy. However, the listing and communications did not mention the need to bring our own soap or hand wash; when we asked at the office, we were told it wasn’t supplied.A planned power outage was not communicated in advance. The power shut off while someone was showering (in a bathroom with no windows) and in the middle of breakfast preparation. Advance notice would have allowed us to plan accordingly.Both bathrooms are dated and in need of maintenance.

I'm rethinking this condo

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was pretty disappointing. For almost $2,500 a week I think I had the right to expect nice. It wasn't clean. linguini noodle, crumbs on the living room floor. Dust and crumbs on the dining table. the upstairs bathroom was kinda gross. Debris on the floor, someone else's hair on the towels. The toilet wasn't flushed. The bed was advertised as king. It was a queen. Very springy so it was impossible to not wake up my husband with any move I made. The couches in the living room are very old and pretty used. I had to put a blanket on them to feel comfortable sitting on them. It doesn't seem that when you pay a hefty cleaning deposit you should have to take out your own trash.

Girls Ski Weekend

We enjoyed our stay at Mammoth Racket and Ski Condos! The place provided everything we needed for 4 adults and 2 teens. Great view of the Sherwins from the condo! The hot tub was great. We would stay again! Thank you for renting to us.

Ski Trip

Really nice rental close to Canyon Lodge. Waking distance to chair lifts. Maybe not for toddlers, as there is a hill to go up and down for the walk. Fine for our family of 10 yr old and older. Spacious enough for out family of 5. Couple notes. Bedroom and loft are next to each other upstairs. Property needs new TV's, had issues with downstairs in particular. Fireplace heating system is great! Kitchen well stocked. Would stay again.

NEVER AGAIN

Staff was non-responsive to issues. Took multiple phone calls to get action. We left early due to these issues. Smoke detectors were without batteries..one in a drawer the other stuffed behind a dresser. THIS PUT OUR LIVES IN JEOPARDY. Door would not lock and when it finally did was difficult to unlock. Dirty dishes in dishwasher. TV's had zero to poor reception. Not a king bed to found as advertised. No 32' TV either. Someone parked in our spot. We feel cheated and were misled. And still no response from management. I'll make sure to tell everyone I know about this experience including Mammoth Lakes Fire Dept. Even when I took the keys and smoke detectors for check out, no help.

Guest was emailed numerous times and within 15 minutes of the first email complaining of door not locking maintenance staff was there and fixed it. We did not hear of any other issues until the guest left. Also staff was here and spoke to him when he checked out and we have video on our ring that recorded it.

Very cozy and clean

We enjoyed a lot the place. We had a great time. The house is very clean, big and cozy. The check in and check out was easy. We were able to make a bbq super close to the house - only a few steps. I’d definitely recommend to others.

Dated construction and thin walls

I’ll lead off by saying it’s not cheap to stay in Mammoth during ski season, let alone walking distance to the lodge which can be a big incentive when organizing a group of 6 with kids, and 2 bathrooms was non-negotiable must-have. Non-carpeted flooring was a close second but that’s where we compromised since booking just 1 week in advance left us with few affordable options. Pros: close to lodge, updated appliances, assigned garage parking, proximity to spa. Cons: the master bedroom has a queen mattress - NOT a king bed as advertised, all the doorknobs are broken, no insulation, thin walls - you can hear conversations in the next unit from the master as if they were in the next room, climate control difficult - it got really hot in the upstairs sleeping areas (especially the loft which had no windows) while downstairs took time to heat up, this was made worse by opening the upstairs master bedroom window because another unit across the way was partying out on their balcony - yes we could’ve called management or the cops on them at 1am but couldn’t work up the energy, and finally, the idea of the spa was great but in reality it’s more like soaking in a soup of 95 degree chlorinated water with 10 dudes, though it seemingly satisfied the kids. I hate to leave a negative review but our experience was disappointing and we won’t be choosing to come back to any units in this particular complex.
