About this property

Family-friendly waterfront retreat. "A little slice of heaven."

_____________________________
Come stay at our private lakefront retreat! The very interesting, spacious, and welcoming home accommodates up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms (a very large master bedroom with walk-in closet and bath, two queen rooms with bath, a room with twin beds that can be made into a king, and a double-bed room). A very well-equipped kitchen, a dining room table that seats 10 comfortably, living room, and large screened porch with couch, table, and kids' table. A pool table in the house. A large two-bay garage.
The waterfront has a truly glorious view of the lake and mountains. The boat house has a large rooftop deck complete with picnic table and lounge chairs. The dock has a covered slip for your boat or a rental boat and both deep water swimming and wading. There is also a fire ring at the lakefront.
Most important is the total privacy . No one else will be using the house or driveway or the waterfront, including the owner.
We are pet friendly as well, and provide a clean bed for your pet, too.
A few other highlights include a full-size child's playhouse and a set of swings, a pool table in the house, an extra-wide 2-car garage for your use, a propane woodstove for ambience, reliable WiFi, three-burner gas grill, and an unusually responsive owner who lives close by.

The house is situated ten minutes from both Lake George Village and Bolton Landing. Many boat rental and water sports options in both towns, as well as grocery stores and shopping. Outlet shopping, the Great Escape amusement park 20 minutes away.

Heaven on earth...
This booking was by far the easiest and best choice I have made for a getaway. The owner Melissa communicates well and is available should you need anything. We did not because the home is perfectly appointed with everything you will need (I mean everything down to spare sugar/salt/pepper). Bring your family/friends/food/dog/kids and enjoy this private large gorgeous lake house. It is exactly what it should be to fit the Lake George themed cabin atmosphere. If you are expected modern and stucco maybe this is not for you. We loved the wood beams/walls/classic traditional dinning room table for everyone to share a meal from the clean newer three burner Weber grill right off of the porch. We enjoyed the playing billiards on the clean table with a lake view through the large glass window. My daughter played on the swing set and loved the private little "doll house" nestled in the woods right near the kitchen to keep an eye on the kids. The lake house / dock is oversized and two levels. Space to suntan, eat, fish, park your boat and not feel tight at all. The water is crystal clear and you have completely unobstructed views of the lake off the dock. The photo's we took look like a postcard. All I ask is you respect the property, lake and home so it can be as perfect as it was for our visit last week!!! We will be back 110%

Wonderful child- and pet-friendly lake house
This is a GEM at Lake George. Beautiful, private, and family friendly. We appreciated the ample living space, the bottom levels were perfect for a busy toddler to explore, and everything was easily child proofed with owner-provided baby gates and high storage spaces. We felt welcome and easily accommodated with both our child and our dog, and appreciated the owner’s communication throughout the process. The views from the boathouse and the deck above are spectacular. Highly recommend.

Quick Trip To Lake George
Our stay was wonderful! My 3 kids and I stayed 3 nights in October. Apart from playing mini golf for a few hours, we were at the house the entire time. Plenty for the kids to explore and enjoy! This home has all the feel of staying with family. Everything was clean, unique, and worked well. The lake is crystal clear, the boathouse had everything we needed. There was even a hiking trail across the street. Melissa was a fantastic host. She was sincerely considerate and very responsive. We’ll be back!

Why they chose this property

A very kind guest wrote this review on November 22, 2022. He described the place better than I was going to.

This was not my first time in Lake George, But this was my first time renting a house rather than a hotel lodge. This was the best decision I made. Melissa, the owner was very sweet and professional from the moment the house was booked. Her communication and personality made my experience even better. Thank you.
The house is very special. It has a warm and welcoming feel from the start. Five bedrooms rooms, four bathrooms , great open-concept first floor. We had a lot of room to be with the family or stay our distance. The backyard is my favorite point of the house. It has the best breathtaking views of the lake and of Pilot Knob Mountain. The wooden dock has two floors. Top floor has wooden chairs and lounges to sit and enjoy the views with friends and family. The bottom deck provided access to kayaks and a tube to go into the lake.
It’s hard to grasp my description in words. You have to go and experience this to see and feel how amazing this is. Overall this lake house is a great place to be with nature. Relax indoors or outdoors. Travel around the town. Stay indoors and read a book, watch movies , cook and eat. It’s meant for anyone and everyone. The house was clean and has character. There are hand written notes throughout house to inform us on what switches turn on what, directions on how to operate certain items :) This just shows that Melissa knows her house very well and can help you anytime. This was truly a great experience to my family and me. I would suggest this Lake House rental to everyone!!!! Loved it!!!

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The waters of Lake George are beloved by many – and were hailed last week at a national level. An article on Microsoft-owned news service MSN spells it out from the headline: “This Is The Cleanest Lake In The U.S.”

Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox!
The article, by MSN writer Maria Bou Ink, cites a ranking from A-Z Animals which names Lake George as the cleanest lake in the United States. It makes note of the fact that Lake George is fed by mountain streams, and resides largely on protected forest land, with little manmade activity outside of the village. The article also praises the lake for being attractive to vacationers.

“Considering that numerous beautiful lakes from Colorado, Oregon, and Montana were also listed, Lake George has the highest score,” the article states. “All in all, it is a fantastic location for tourists to enjoy their favorite water activities, and on a hot summer day, it is a lovely body of water that is surrounded by plenty of interesting local sights.”

Lake George holiday light show doubling in size
Under the protection of stewards like those at the Lake George Association and other groups that study water quality, Lake George’s water isn’t taken for granted. In the last year, the lake has been named one of the nine best waterbodies for boating by BoatUS; the eighth-bluest lake in the country by SIXT SE; one of the best places in the country to buy a cabin by vacation site Evolve; and home to the nation’s #1 dog-friendly campground, according to The Dyrt.

And you have a wonderful house to stay in and total privacy while experiencing the joys of the beauty landscape and pristine water to enjoy in many ways.
