We visited for a wedding we were in and needwyd about friendly place so we could bring our dog. It was in a great location and close to everything. Besides needing a little updating and the beds were a little uncomfortable, it was a great stay.

Thanks for staying Melissa! The unit is pretty upgraded with new bathroom, appliances, granite, AC, new floors, flooring. Beds are relatively subjective but are memory foam and I've had positive feedback on them.
My family had a great stay here over Labor Day weekend. The property was quiet, recently updated and relaxing. The location is excellent and Spruce Glen will be at the top of our list for future trips to Killington.

Clean house and glad we were able to bring our dog. Close to so many great mountains and rivers to explore. Great shower pressure. Wish there were some picnic tables or outdoor eating spaces on the sunny property.
We had a great weekend at this condo. The location was terrific. The communication was great. While we missed the window when the condo is ski on ski off we enjoyed walking out on the trail. Thanks so much for having us.
It was a wonderful property. We don’t usually go away and it was amazing to be able to bring the dog and enjoy what we love to do. We will most definitely be back.
Overal very good. The location is excellent. The bathrooms need updating, small tub shower sink and faucets are outdated

Thanks Daron, we've been making extensive updates to Spruce Glen. Almost everything has been upgraded to date. The bathroom was partially upgraded this past summer and we are putting a new shower and vanities in this spring.
We had such a wonderful stay. We were able to check in early which was so convenient. The house is just steps from Great Eastern trail. The house had lots of games, puzzles, linens, and full kitchen. We would highly recommend.
My partner and so stayed here for a week in late spring and had a wonderful, relaxing time. The cabin was perfectly clean and had everything you need. We loved using the sauna and fireplace at night after going for some absolutely gorgeous local hikes. Could hear birds chirping and no Highway sounds—so peaceful. The host was very responsive and even gave us a late check-out. I would highly recommend staying here!
Great property and price even though we didn’t realize gondala would be closed. But, it was an easy 12 minute drive to ski resort. Perfect for a big family - plenty of room to roam after the slopes closed.

Thanks for staying Celia. Sorry you missed the ski in/out opening by a day. Bear Mountain Base lodge is 1 minute up the road when Skyeship is not yet running for the season, or 10 minutes to Snowshed/Rams head.

Comfortable and Convenient Stay
The place is recently updated - with a nice homey and comfortable space. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the bathrooms are nice! A couple of downfalls to keep in mind before booking - the kitchen is not fully equipped, water pressure is very low, and there is zero cell signal. Make sure to bring an oven mitt, baking sheets, and a good knife if you plan to cook there. Also plan to use other internet-based apps for communication and such once you arrive. If coming during the summer, you might want to bring a couple of chairs to enjoy the outside space if that is your thing. Other than these things - the place works great and is on its way to being a great vacation rental spot!

Thanks Lauren, happy you enjoyed the work we've been doing at Spruce Glen. I've had feedback that the kitchen is well stocked, but I just upgraded pots/pans and added oven mitts. Verizon cell service works at Spruce Glen, however some carriers including AT&T can be problematic, I recommend turning on WIFI calling for those. The Internet has been upgraded to gigabit fiber, and is fast. We have recently upgraded the well pressure tank to ensure consistent water pressure (2021)
Great location and comfortable enough but needs some attention.
For skiers/boarders, you can't beat the accessibility to the slopes. The beds and furniture are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Aside from that, there were a few disappointments. There is plenty of closet space but only 3 wire hangers in the whole place. I get that people steal them but you could literally buy 5 years worth of hangers with one day of rent; It's great having two showers, if only the pressure were even close to mediocre.; And I understand that toilet paper isn't really included but I'll never understand the math used by property managers wherein a couple rolls of see-through sandpaper equals happy, repeat guests. I mean, is $5 worth of 2-ply too much to ask for on a 3 day rental rental?

Thanks David, we've been making lots of improvements to Spruce Glen and appreciate your feedback. We upgraded the well pressure tank in 2021 to ensure consistent water pressure. I also added coat hangers.

Why they chose this property
Spruce Glen is among the best locations in Killington, I remember skiing by the property as a kid and have now purchased it from the original owners as our family ski destination. I've enjoyed restoring this unique vacation complex to delight both new and loyal decades long guests!
What makes this property unique
Unrivaled ski on/off access on the Great Eastern Trail! Nestled in a forest of New England Spruce trees, just above the Skyeship Gondola base lodge. Spruce Glen is the only ski in ski out property in Killington that is not neither a condo association or private home. Guests enjoy the largest private lot on Great Eastern (almost 4 acres) at a lower cost than home rentals and more seclusion than nearby condo villages.
