We are here for you should you have any questions, concerns or requests during your stay. I am just a message or phone call away.
Please keep in mind that you are staying in a house and not a hotel. So if a problem arises, we will act as quickly as possible, but there is no repair/maintenance/cleaning crew available 24/7.
This house is very close to downtown Manchester with many shops and restaurants within a 10 minute drive from the house. This also means that some sound from the road can be heard. Please refer to the aerial photo in our listing to see the proximity of the house to the road.
Guests will have access to the house in its entirety, with the exception of one closet in the downstairs bedroom.
Our relaxing, bohemian 1965 A-Frame offers the best of everything for your Vermont getaway. The A-Frame is a cozy but comfortable 1024 sq. ft. and we've furnished the home with our guests' comfort in mind. There are two bedrooms with a memory foam queen bed in each, a loft with a dedicated workspace and reading nook, and a living area with a queen pull out sofa. A half bath is located in the upstairs master bedroom. The full, recently remodeled bathroom is located downstairs. Please note that while the kitchen is clean, well equipped, and entirely functional, some of the fixtures are original to the 1965 construction of the home. We think it only adds to the charm! Our outdoor space is equipped with a stone fire pit and seating, and you can enjoy a cup of coffee or lunch al fresco on our new outdoor lounge furniture.
Kindly note the aerial photo in our listing showing the location of the A-Frame and the proximity to the main road as some road noise can be heard from the cabin.
To ensure our cleaners get the R+R they deserve we do not permit check ins on Sundays. We also believe a long weekend allows our guests to make the most of their time in southern VT.
Please be sure to review the house rules prior to booking. The A-Frame has been designed with relaxation in mind, so parties are prohibited. Please also note the details of our pet policy, which is further explained in our house rules.
Although the A-Frame is directly off a well maintained main road, we still recommend a vehicle with 4-wheel or all-wheel drive during the winter months.
Being that we are in a National Forest, cell phone reception is spotty at the A-Frame. WiFi is provided for our guests and we can happily explain to you on booking how to enable WiFi calling to ensure phone functionality at the house.
While there are nearby neighbors, the A-Frame is still very much the quintessential "cabin in the woods", so please be mindful of wildlife such as raccoons, insects, rodents, bear and deer.

About the host
Hosted by Monique

I’m Monique, that’s Jason, and that’s our fur child Snowball in the window. We’re the hosts behind The Vermont A-Frame!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Jason cleans up nicely for work, but is a true outdoorsman at heart. If it involves fresh air, he’s there. He once backpacked through New Zealand with his best friend! Jason has been traveling to Vermont since he was a small child and always dreamed of owning a house there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I, on the other hand, grew up taking dance lessons and visiting Disney World. My favorite book was about the solar system, and my favorite toy was a microscope. I always felt like a square peg in a round hole, but couldn’t put my finger on why. It wasn’t until I got older that I realized how important having a connection to nature was to me.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Jason and I have been sending each other real estate listings and daydreaming about a life outside our 9 to 5’s ever since we got together. One evening in 2018, after being laid off and facing an existential crisis much too early, I started crunching the numbers. We quickly realized that we could make our dream of owning an escape in the mountains a reality. Fast forward two months and we were signing the closing papers on our first home together!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sharing the A-frame with our guests has always been much more than just a way to offset the cost of owning a vacation home. We’re passionate about making our guests feel the same sensation we do whenever we cross the Vermont state line. The A-Frame is a place to slow down and reconnect with nature and ourselves. Hosting has been a wonderful adventure, and we thank you for allowing us to share our special place with you. ❥
