Well presented two bedroom unit in complex with a pool and tennis court

This unit offers a fun, yet relaxed holiday atmosphere with tropical resort surroundings, only minutes from the heart of Nelson Bay, Marina and Beach. The Carindale complex includes full use of the tropical lagoon-style swimming pool, tennis court and communal BBQ area. Nelson Bay offers a beautiful swimming beach only 450m from the unit (access is through Laidler Walk which runs between Magnus Street and Victoria Parade). Continue walking around the foreshore to discover a fantastic water park (in summer months only), a lovely children's playground and the d'Albora Marina, gateway to a large selection of attractions including dolphin watching, parasailing, boat hire, scuba diving, kayaking, stand up paddle board hire and whale watching adventures (operating May to November). Nelson Bay also hosts a selection of great restaurants, cafes and boutique shopping, and beautiful Shoal Bay is just 3.5km away.

This well presented family unit will comfortably accommodate 6 guests. The main living area offers 2 lounges, a ceiling fan, flat screen TV and DVD player, with sliding glass door access to a covered balcony with outdoor setting. The fully equipped walk-through kitchen comes with dishwasher, oven, grill, stove top, microwave, full size fridge/freezer and breakfast bar with stools. A queen bed and TV feature in the main bedroom, while the 2nd bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, plus toilet, and the internal laundry provides a washing machine and dryer.

There is some street and visitor parking (limited at peak).

- Carindale does not allow trailers, jet skis or trailer boats on property.
- Garage is not available for guest use.

NICE pic of the pool but what about the rooms?

The stay was really good the pool was great fun and the location was great ;It was near so many beaches! The bedroom however was a bit ...broken? The bunk bed seemed like it could shatter into pieces if you moved a bit on the top also the ladder to the top bunk was able to come off for the other bunk bed to climb up, one ladder and two bunk beds isn't very helpful!And in the bottom bunk was a real squeeze and the bed sheets and blankets were not clean at all! The other room was wonderful though a queen bed and a TV . But at night when we were about sleep a hideous bug appeared at the bedroom door and scattered inside the room imagine waking up to see a bug at your face! So we all evacuated the room and for hours we sat on the sofa not wanting to sleep in there but I eventually found it and hit it with my shoe.(There was soap , tea bags ,sugar supplied but no bug detergent found in all the drawers!)When we came back from the holiday we received an email saying we broke the chair and bedroom wardrobe door the chair was already pretty rickety and the wardrobe slidable door was already broken. UGH .Though there was many problems it was an okay holiday...

Great location to the bay

Start off with the positives: Great location, pool and bbq area were great. But, unit had awful stench due to stagnant bucket of water in laundry due to leaking pipes. Shower head was completely broken and clearly never been fixed. There is no aircon and we had a week of 35+ degree days, combined with the stench above, it was unbearable and we ended up checking out earlier. Main bed hard and uncomfortable, take your own pillows as the ones provided were old. Doonas were on the beds but did not appear clean, thankfully it was too hot for them (sheets were provided freshly laundered however). Other smaller things: There's only 2 barstools (not 4) which is a minor thing but still should be corrected in the advert.
